Alphonse had gone out earlier in the night to hunt. It was the full moon that night and all of the predators were acting funny - some were more aggressive over their prey than they might otherwise have been and it made things more aggravating for the vampiric squirrel-bat. He settled on finding and bashing in the head of a small carnivorous deer, a doe, carrying it back with much grunting and groaning. At least he had the ability to carry extra weight, even though it would leave him feeling tired the next night... that would be okay though, since this thing would fill him up for two days easily, maybe with a rodent snack in between. With the other predators in the forest acting so funny, he didn't want to chance enjoying his meal in the forest, especially not when he would be draining the thing dry and feel bloated and unwieldy afterward. That would just be silly. Instead he carried it back to the village in his feet, flapping away until he reached their mother's old cottage that he and Rosemary occasionally used - mostly on different nights, but sometimes not. There he laid the creature flat-out on the bedroom floor and settled in to feast. Twenty minutes later, bloated and satiated and happy, he rested on top of the drained carcass when he heard the door open. His head snapped up and red eyes narrowed. He could hear Rose's voice with his sensitive ears, but why was she talking? She never talked to herself. He heard the padding of her paws heading towards the bedroom door, but he also heard... hooves. And other footsteps. His eyes went wide as he realized she'd brought someone into the house with her. But why would she do that?! This wasn't a place open to visitors, and none of their siblings had hooves! He hissed and stood with a grunting noise, full of food and wanting to sit back down to digest for a while. She opened the door and his eyes went wide as saucers when he saw non-white individuals moving behind her. Those were not Tulgeys! "Echeh! Rose, what are you doing?!"

Xylia was glad to be inside once they reached the small cabin. So much so, that she didn't at all seem to mind how very small it was or how cramped it might be to camp there with Rosemary and her two 'body guards'. Maybe in their sword forms they wouldn't take up too much room?
The doe wobbled, finding it hard to multi-task while her head was throbbing the way it was. Bloody aces.
With Thallak supporting one arm, however, she found it was easy enough to walk regardless of how dizzy she was. It was also thanks to Thallak that Xylia would avoid falling on her rear in surprise when the bedroom door swung open...to reveal another Tulgey. This one with fangs and wings and... Xylia squeaked in surprise and stumbled backward, falling into Thallak's arms.
The sword didn't mind at all, he simply hugged the wounded doe close and glared protectively as Oddr moved up to stand between Alphonse and Xylia. He didn't know who the stranger though, he appeared to know their guide. Considering her very notable markings, Rose was quite presumably her name or a nickname at very least.

Oh. Shit. Rosemary froze, her tail puffing up in the slightest bit. This was the worst idea ever. She had forgotten that Alphonse brought his kills back here sometimes.
"Hey Al!" She said as cheerfully as possible. "I just stopped by with some... friends of mine."
Why she was trying when she was already screwed over was retarded. She might as well admit that she let outsiders in the Wood and that Alphonse should just deal with. Of course it wasn't going to be that easy.
"Look. I want to use this woman's story and... she has some rather interesting weapons. I know she's an outsider, but she won't know the location of the village or any crap like that. Just think of her as a piece of furniture that you can't eat." Rosemary waved a pay dismissively as she glanced at her brother's dinner. Well then. He must have been full. All the reason not to protest.

Alphonse bared his fangs to their fullest, gums and all, at the cheerfully-delivered nickname. "That is not my name," he hissed, going from shocked to irritated in a flash. At least she dropped the 'friends' bit after two seconds of looking at his face. That would have just ticked him off more. Considering where she went, she very well could have friends who looked as bizarre as these people, but he and she both knew that she wouldn't bring any friend from her travels back home unless she was planning on introducing them to the parents, in that very 'significant other' sort of way. That thought was so un-Rose as to make him laugh, except now wasn't the time.
"She already knows the location of the village. And she knows you. Echeh, and she knows me!" His expression changed to a horrified look quickly enough that it would have been hilarious under other circumstances, especially with the fangs making everything exaggerated. The fact that he was distinctly vulnerable after eating so much didn't miss his attention, though at least his time-back ability could give him an edge if they tried to do something stupid. "She reeks of blood and you expect me to just ignore her? Get her out of here!"

(( OOC: >_> Rose is really angry. That is the only reason why I'm going out of posting order. ))
Rosemary was okay for about a minute. Then Alphonse continued to be his jerkish self, which she was not in the mood for. Where did he get off giving her orders? Just because he was her brother didn't give him the upper hand.
"Shut the fuck up, Alphonse. You have no right to give me orders." She growled. "Not everyone can see as well as you in the dead of night. And if they were ever to trespass again, I wouldn't save them. So honestly, keep your mouth shut you snotty bastard! I am not in the mood for this at all!"
It was rare occasion that Rosemary got angry. Normally she was the peacemaker of the family. However Alphonse had rubbed her the wrong way tonight. She knew perfectly well no one liked outsiders, and neither did she, but this was a story. If no one found out about them it would be no harm done.

Xylia, for all that she was usually a very poised sort, found it suddenly quite hard to keep from containing her emotions and keeping her usual composure while being stuck in this strangely heated argument. Rose and Alphonse, as they'd both clearly shouted at each other, appeared to be quite at odds with their thoughts on strangers, and Xylia would've been more than happy to leave if she could have...
Instead he pressed in more firmly against her dear Thallak, almost attempting to hide in his firm grip.
Oddr didn't like any of this one bit, not at all. There was something strange about this entire place and something even stranger about the inhabitants there... the bat especially. He gave off an odd sense and Oddr felt as if he'd seen him somewhere before...even though that was frankly impossible...right? He hadn't seen much out of Xylia's scope of the world since he was forged...
Then again, maybe Xylia had seen him and his memories were just getting confused? It was honestly hard to tell, and Oddr quickly decided it was best to push it from his mind. He'd keep quiet, and keep Thallak quiet, until the fighting had died down and he was sure Xylia wouldn't be attached by the strange bat-squirrel.

Alphonse was taken aback and didn't know how to reply for a minute. Rose was usually the peace keeper of the lot of them, certainly not the quietest but usually the most level-headed without being a boring little stiff like Parsley. What did she really have going on with these Outsiders to make her behave like that? The thought made him twitch. Just who were these people that she would defend them so voraciously?
She had to be lying. He knew Rose lied, not a lot but when she needed to, like when she'd first started leaving the Wood and took more of their siblings with her. He'd been all alone with his parents then, and he'd known better, but he hadn't said anything to give her away... even though their father had apparently been able to tell they'd been somewhere besides where they said that they'd been. He was often smart like that.
And now she was lying to him! She so rarely pulled rank that when she did, or even implied it, the words were like a slap to the face. "Bitch," he hissed, his fangs making the word harder to say. "Do you think I'm in the mood to have three complete strangers stumbling across me after I've just eaten? Do you even think before you do stupid things?!"

"You pompous idiotic prick of a vampratic squirrel. I put up with your shit all the time, but this is enough." Rosemary said with a growl. "I've had it up to here with your high and mighty attitude! I've never given you trouble because you had a number on your chest, I've never given you trouble because of your attitude, and I've always been nice to you and how do you repay me? Being a complete and utter ass. Get off your fucking high horse, you're worst than the damn Highlanders."
Rosemary's tail had puffed up while she waved her front paws in exasperation. This had been the first time she every talked back to any family member in such a manner. She hoped it would be the last as well. "You've never stopped to think what was important to me and my future. I just want to hear her freaking story."
She glanced back at the people they were arguing about. Xylia needed medical attention fast, but this thing with Alphonse wasn't going to blow over every well. And wasn't he working on getting some magic power or something like that? How far was the jerk willing to go when it came to family. Grrr.
"I can't even ask you one favor. One tiny little thing." She muttered. One day, out of spite, she was going to drag him to the city just so he could curse her name a little bit more. Stupid bitch was she? Well, next time he fell asleep with his guard down he would have a wonderful surprise.

Xylia watched the proceedings with a look of hazed uncertainty. Should she...do something? Interject? The doe opened her mouth and then quickly shut it. She really shouldn't... It wasn't her place to interfere in family affairs, for that was what it would seem to be.
The boys had both taken up a rather surly appearance, postures hardening into more defensive stances as they realized their dear summoner might be in danger from this... vampire bat? At this point they would've been happy to just up and take Xylia elsewhere. Except, of course, that Rosemary was very correct with what she said about their not-so-great nightvision.
Typically this wouldn't be a problem. Xylia had the nightvision and could lead their little group. With her current state, however, both males just wanted her to get medical attention so they could get away as soon as possible.
Xylia had been bleeding for a while now. There was a deep wound in her skull and a variety of gouges along her back from where the bird had first gotten her... She wasn't entirely sure how intelligent just standing around was, but none of them currently appeared to have a choice. She would just have to hope that Rosemary could placate her brother.

If Xylia or her bodyguards had spoken, Alphonse's anger and confusion and hurt would have immediately transferred over to them. As it was, he stared at his sister with bright red eyes as his tail puffed up with those emotions. "A favor. Ignoring the people who are bleeding all over the place and have human skin or black fur as they tromp all over places they don't belong is a favor?! Since when has that been anything besides dumb!"
And she'd pulled the number card. He wanted to bite her. Hard. Even mentioning it was a sore spot, much less in an argument. So he was a lowly five and that didn't entitle him to have a high and mighty attitude like the high and mighty Jacks and Kings and Queen that made up his entire family. She didn't need to say it. He felt it like a knife in the back of his head and he hissed at her, fangs extending fully as his lips curled back. They were as long as small daggers and still stained with a little bit of blood from his recent meal, what he hadn't had time to wash away before she entered.
"You bring them in here and she's dessert," he hissed. If that failed... well, depending on how badly it failed, he would either flip back time five minutes to right before they entered the room or run off and tell their parents. It was silly and he didn't want to have to resort to it, but if there was one thing his mommy had managed to successfully cram into his head, it was that uninvited Outsiders in the Wood was a Bad Thing!
