Eldy sighed almost wistfully, accepting the cup rather gracefully, grateful the handles were easier for her paws to grasp than all the human-and-biped stuff back at Court. After all, the majority of nobles could take more than one form by the time they made it so high. "You can certainly say that again," she replied, before dumping a few lumps of sugar in the tea and taking a small sip. It burned her tongue a little, but she didn't mind.
"Oh? Well that must have been rather fun," she laughed. "At least for the kids, I hear the beach is supposed to be a good time." Zuberi already knew her opinion on water with any sort of depth. "Good luck if you ever get saddled with these, though...considering what half their genes are." She fully expected her mother's children to be odd. "I haven't met them yet, but judging by me and my sister, they'll be a handful." Her smile turned into a slight smirk. She knew she'd been a rather difficult child, but hey, her mother had been a difficult parent, so she figured it all evened out in the end.

Zuberi gave a small laugh, though it was one that never seemed to meet her dark, black eye. "Ah.. yes, Seth's spawn has never ceased to amaze me.. She gave a small smile. "Either way... but in a good word for me? I'd love to see them anyways. If Peaches is half as protective as Heilyn is, I'd imagine she'd need coaxing to let me have em for a weekend" Ah, now there was a genuine smile, a giggle bubbling up from her as she waggles her claws menacingly, as if to play the part of the baby snatcher.
She looked out the window, yes, it was far too late to cook. "Hm. Getting late to prepare a meal.. but are you hungry? I have some biscuits, and may perhaps have some chilled meat in my ice box... A lovely little invention. It was a gift from Mikael. He's such a sweet boy, even if he doesn't visit as often as I'd like.."

"Sure," Eldy said, shrugging. Goodness knows her mother would actually like to have someone else to push the kids off on once in awhile. She cared about her children, sure, and stubbornly wanted to raise them herself, but she tended to wander enough that having a safe place for her children would be a good idea. Especially if one turned out to be a Club...which was possible considering Seth was a black Card. She frowned a bit. Wouldn't that be rather sad, to have a Club sibling? Such a pity, really...the poor kid would just never measure up. "I can probably twist her arm." She smiled at the thought. After all, she'd gotten her to actually discuss the matter with Seth!
Eldy tilted her head, considering. Was she hungry? She'd managed to eat regularly enough on the road, and she knew how to get by on fairly little. After all, there were times she had needed to be careful lest the Palace cooks noticed more food missing from the stores than there should have been. Still, a little something wouldn't hurt. "Biscuits and meat sounds good," Eldy replied, sipping more tea. She didn't really care if the meat was warm or not. "Well, I imagine he's busy, since he did join the Courts fairly recently." Her tone of voice made it obvious what she thought of this decision: why would anyone willingly get involved in politics? She remembered Mikael. Another one of Seth's. Liked to paint. She'd never met him, but then that could be said of most people, even those who had also grown up in the Hearts Court.

Well, the girl didn't seem starving, but Zuberi had no problem with filling bellies! Perhaps she took after her mother in that respect, wanting to help people in any way she could, even if it meant forcing food upon them till they burst! Ahaha.. not really, but her mother nearly took it to that extreme, for sure.
Zuberi fixed the both of them a neat little biscuit sandwich with cuts of ham in the middle. Ham was such a tasty meat. Perhaps she should start raising a pig once a year? Hmm..
She caught Eldy's obvious tone, quirking a brow and smiling. "Ah.. yes. I wasn't too fond of the idea myself.. though I've heard the new Queen has certainly turned that place around. Power corrupts, though, so we won't be seeing her true colors for a while, I'd bet." She nibbled at a bit of ham, not quite bothering with the biscuit yet. "Ah.. but I feel in my heart dat he won't be staying in dat place all his life. He's a painter at heart. He'll go crazy if he stays."
And on that note, she looked the girl over. Other than the unfortunate accident with her ear (she hadn't thought it kind to ask about it), she was quite the pretty thing. "Yanno, he really -is- a nice boy. Have you met him personally?"

Eldy gave the squirrel a nod of thanks as the sandwich was set in front of her, holding it delicately with her paw to take a bite. Hmm. Not bad. Certainly better than what she'd been eating while on the road. She really had been lucky someone so hospitable had found her sitting on the beach. Or were a lot of Midori like that? Since this was the only one she'd ever met, the cat couldn't say.
"That's very true. Though some seem to escape corruption through sheer...oddness," Eldy said with an amused glint in her eyes, thinking of her mother. Than again, she'd never know her before she joined the Court, but she couldn't imagine she'd be much different. Unless...a lot of things were different. If her brother was still around... Eldy shook her head, shooing that thought away like a pesky fly. This was no time to let someone else's words haunt her.
"Good point. I remember seeing some of his work on the Palace walls. He was quite good even then," Eldy remarked, taking another bite of her sandwich. The thought of what he'd painted was quite amusing, though...it seemed the little Boggie had never shied away from any subject just because it was controversial. At the next, seemingly random question, Eldy gave the woman a long look, one eyebrow slowly going up. Zub wasn't implying what she thought she was, was she?
"No, actually, I never had the chance." She shrugged, one curious eye on the squirrel as she sipped more tea. "He left before I was -ah- able to meet many people." Sigh. Sometimes a childhood of practical nonexistence left you with a lot of catching up to do, socially.

"Oh yes he is.. quite imaginative. And very talented.. He actually used me as a model for a class project, once." Aha.. that had been quite an experience, to say the least. She'd almost not agreed to it, but Mikael had been so insistent, and so... professional about it all.
At the suspicious look, Zuberi merely waggled a brow, a most amusingly suggestive expression on her face. Oh, she was used to girls not taking the bait, so it wouldn't hurt her feelings.. but she never passed up the opportunity to bring it up to a nice girl at least somewhat around his age.
"Oh, that's a pity! You know, I could always introduce you two. I kind of gathered that your friendships were... limited when I first met you. Lots o' drama going on with all dat." Yes, she was absolutely shameless, but could anyone really blame her? She liked to mother all of Seth's children that she'd been allowed to see.

"Oh did he?" Eldryia asked, curious. She'd never been able to see much of Mikael's classwork, or rather, she'd never really tried. She tried not to spy on people while they were in their private rooms unless necessary, and that was where she imagined he kept most of his smaller scale art. "Was he as shameless with his subjects there as he was with his finger paintings?" She couldn't help but ask, though when her words caught up with her, she flushed slightly, realizing what she'd implied.
She gave Zuberi a long look. "That's true," she said, her sigh audible this time. "If you think he'd like me at all, I guess." She shrugged. She didn't think she was the easiest person to get along with...and she -really- didn't think she was cut out for any sort of romantic relationship. Heck, she wasn't even sure she wanted one. Sure, if the chance came up, she might want to mess around a bit but...as for something so committed...she really didn't want to think about that. Still, there could be no harm in at least meeting the fellow, even if he wasn't her type. She certainly did need more friends.

Zuberi didn't answer that particular question directly, but the absolutely wolfish grin she gave would probably answer that question. After all, not all things had to be said to be understood.
Zuberi was pleasantly surprised she was even considering the idea! "Well it's definitely worth a try, isn't it? If anythin', I tink the boy at least needs a few friends. A friend he could make babies with.. and let Zuberi babysit! Ahaha, Zub wants grandbabies.. even if the children who'd have them wasn't really hers. "P'haps sometime I could set up a little date for you two? Oh, nothing too serious, o'course. People your age don't really need to get serious fast... but I personally be regrettin' not taking full advantage of the dating scene while I was younger. Oh, and how they used to try to court me! Now I'm just a crazy old lady.."

Eldy couldn't help but be amused by the grin that was more than answer enough for her. This kid really did seem like quite the character. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to meet him, at least make a new friend. She nodded a bit, yes it would be nice to meet him, especially if he didn't have many friends either, and...wait, what?
She twitched a bit, not really remembering agreeing to a DATE. Well, where was the harm in it? He seemed a bit like a froofy, girly man to her but hey...she could at least give him a chance. "Well, never know till I try, huh?" She shrugged, grinning slightly. She'd never been on a date before, actually. Her status would have never allowed it. Maybe it could be fun? "Aw, come on, Zuberi, you're not that old!" she said before she could stop herself, also feeling compelled to add: "And you're actually quite beautiful." It was an odd statement, but she found she meant it. Strange, with how...odd the squirrel's human form looked. But for some reason it suited her.

Ahaha! Entrapment! Sure the girl probably wasn't keen on going on a date, and from the way her face twisted into an odd expression made that clear. Oh well, she was most definitely snared now; all she'd need to do was make the plans and hopefully the two of them would hit it off. It was worth a try anyways.
Zuberi's morose expression immediately lit up into a smile at what the compliments that the feline threw her way. Kind of makes you wonder if she was just fishing for that kind of attention, eh? Well, everyone does at some point in their life.
"Well, dat's so kind of you, Eldy! It's the sweetest thing anyone's said to me all week. You do know how to cheer a weary Priestess up." She sipped her tea to wash down the ham she was eating. "So... how long have ya been wandering about the realms?"
