He registered the Rat's change in demeanor towards him in the same way one might note the weather: as something that was there, and could be helpful or harmful depending on the circumstances, but was unable to be influenced and didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Really, not a whole lot mattered to the Goat anymore, which might have upset him if he were the type to get hung up on any sort of emotional poppycock. Since he wasn't, he merely noted and proceeded in the same way he had been doing. He would give advice where it was asked for, but he wouldn't go beyond what was asked of him. What was the point of that, unless it concerned making his items of higher quality? That was just professional courtesy, to do the best work he could, and really, throwing himself into his work was all he had left. Besides which, it was actually his father's sign, except for the part he'd added in red. It simply hadn't ever come up deep in the heart of Tulgey where his father had lived and worked, but once he became a travelling operation he found there were other applications of smithing where Torquehelms were involved. And he took some sort of grim satisfaction in contributing to keeping all the Tourques safely bound.
"Very well," he responded gruffly, and quoted her a price. It was a bit steep for a pan, but Dania could be assured that the quality of the workmanship was worth the price. Especially since it wasn't entirely of iron, so he'd made it without the use of his Club ability, no mean feat. Of course, that also meant he didn't need to give her the precautionary warning about not using the pan as a weapon, not that anyone would generally attempt that with such an item anyway...he hoped. "Will there be anything else I can help you with?" It wasn't said with annoyance, merely the same detached calm that radiated off of the goat the whole time.
