He smiled gently and was ready to reply when she interrupted him again "Well.." He spoke nonetheless after her horse comment "It's quite nice actually.." He tilts his head thoughtfully and wiggled in his own chair in reply, also trying to get comfortable "Although, my region tends to laze around more than anythin'.."
He scratched his cheek briefly and bit his lip faintly as he gazed around. His throat felt dry already and he hadn't talked that much yet! What a shame, she seemed quite nice and maybe they even could become friends! Oh, yes.. He was turning sappy now. His tail moved lazily, letting the fur trail over the ground slowly as he did so. He was curious about what she had visited "Where did you go?" He finally decided to break the 'ice' "And how was it there?" He leaned forwards, eyes gleaming faintly.

Well that fit with the stereotypes she had heard. If that was the case though, about about that Queen of Diamonds? He didn't seem all that lazy considering he had to get to the top. Well. He could have grown up outside of the region or something like that. After all she didn't know much about him, and she didn't care to keep up with much politics even if she should have. She just knew the names and regions of each of the people in charge, and that was all she needed to know.
Her ears perked at the question.
"I've been a lot of places. Golfram for example. It's a pretty tricky place to navigate but I found all sorts of interesting things there. Kind of like in my own region, and it's just as dangerous. Avington though was quite pretty and far less dangerous. Though I'd recommended a compass if you ever go there. The cities are realllllly hard to find but it's well worth it. All the people are amazingly interesting." She grinned.
"Give him some room to talk."
"I mean, is there any place you want to here about? I just haven't been to The Glacier, The Bog, The Wastes and the Lakes. I totally want to brush up on my languages before I go to the Bog... and I'd need to find a guide so they don't kill me and all. Heh." She shrugged.

[OoC: Meh, sorry it's so short..]
He saw that she was gone into thoughts and waited for her to speak, when she did he listened attentively. He wouldn't be impolite and pretend that he listened, he just did. He nodded his head here and there, making a soft sound that could be considered to be a sound of agreement. He then smiled a little "I can believe." He spoke, chuckling lightly and pushed ruthlessly another soft blush down "Sounds nice to travel." He spoke again, then looked down briefly.
He reopened his mouth, tail drooping slightly "Can't say I went farther than this starting from the Selkie Lakes." He waited again as she spoke, seeming excited and he had to smile slightly once more "How are the Highlands though?" He asked, maybe he could go there and get to trade and/or sell something, like his self-appointed task was. He wanted something to drink now, he looked down and perked up his ears, to show her that he listened.

She wiggled in her seat for a moment. "The Highlands are a beautiful place. They have every right to brag about the looks of their lands. Though, they are a bunch of stuck up bastards to put it bluntly. There are very few modest Highlanders. Though when you find one your trip is ten times better."
The waitress returned with their order of drinks and Rosemary's treat. She set down the order with a cheerful smile before hurrying off again to tend to the busy costumers.
"The one other thing about the Highlands that's a down side is the money. It's pretty expensive if you don't have a place to stay. I'm pretty lucky and have a Highland Aunt. Er... well... lucky is a matter of opinion but you know what I mean. There's a small little hotel near the Palace of Hearts that's pretty cheap though." The canine paused to take a long sip of her drink.
Mmm. Alcohol and coffee.

[OoC; sorry it took so long =/]
He nodded, kept nodding, until it felt like that his head was to fall off. He stopped then and rubbed his neck briefly "I can believe.." He spoke then, smiling. He rather that she talked, she had quite a pretty voice, he mused.
He half-way thanked the waitress before she had rushed off again and gulped slightly, before shaking his head distractedly. He took the cup and took a sip from it, closing his eyes briefly as it burned its way down, warming him from the inside.
He nodded his head, he of course knew of their reputation "I understand." He assured her. The rat pondered her question, before snapping his head back to her, seeing that he had caused quite the long silence, not trying to be rude he quickly spoke "Well that's something I didn't knew." He spoke "Well not that I know much of it in the first place.." His eyes drooped.
His gaze also lowered and he swallowed lightly, taking another sip in silence. The drink soothed his slightly frayed nerves.

"PFffft!" Rosemary said with a snort. "Really don't down yourself so much. I'm sure you know quite a bit even if you don't know a lot about other regions. I've just been running around for quite some time!"
She gave him a toothy grin before she took another long swig of her drink. Setting down the coffee she went to work on her wonderful little dessert. Something filled with cream could never taste bad.
Forge would have rolled his eyes if it were possible. "You know...."
Rosemary shrugged him off. As amazing as he was at instigating things she wasn't in the mood. Though he did have the wonderful suggestion of sharing. Her ears flipped forward as she looked from the mouse to her treat.
It was the only nice thing to do.
"If you want you can have a piece." She moved the plate over slightly with her paw.

He smiled quickly "No, no, thank you." He spoke, shaking his head even more. He looked at her and then shrugged "I... I guess." He spoke again "Only about trading and stuff." He shrugged thin shoulders and looked down once more, tail moving slowly left and right. He didn't really like sweet things, it just made him twitch uncomfortable as his body tried to handle it. So he just kept away from it, it was the best for him and everyone else he was around with.
His tail moved even more as he tried to get his mind straight, the faint fingers of paranoid touching the edge of said mind already. It couldn't be that someone freely talked with him, there had to be a purpose behind. His lips pulled down for a bit before he had forced them in a smile again. His eyes where slightly colder and more narrowed than before as he licked his lips slowly. He took the mug in his clawed hand once more and he raised it before taking a deep gulp. He hoped that the alcohol would make him relax.

He seemed like quite a gloomy Guss, this mouse. Of course recently she had been a downtrodden mess and had lack of inspiration in Spades, but beyond that she still kept up beat. It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the people around her if she stayed so depressed.
Her ears twitched in thought.
I hate to point this out, but the mouse seems pretty nervous. You might want to ease his fears.
Rosemary's ears perked when Forge mentioned this. Of course she had to finish chewing before she said anything. Swallowing what she had been eating in one gulp she went back to talking. "I'm sorry if I've been prying too much. I'm a bit of a talker thanks to my occupation of being a bard. So please forgive me for making you uncomfortable."
She shrugged and bowed her head in apology. Hopefully he'd still give her a chance.

He looked at her slowly, ears perking up and forced his lips in a more natural smile as he did so "It is fine." He answered her and took another sip of the mug "And it isn't you who makes me uncomfortable." He looked down himself and cleared his throat softly "It's just the thought of what it could do to me if I don't look out.." He let out a soft chuckle and leaned back into the chair and watched her once more.
He had to say again that she looked very interesting, a bit hyper but not in a bad way. He found himself liking it somewhat, something catched his attention though and he perked up once more "You're a bard, miss Rose?" He stopped, sounding like he just needed to check if he had heard correctly, he blushed and looked down "Oh.." He let out softly, seeming to become nervous once more, maybe he just better had to keep his mouth shut and not ask such stupid questions that he was sure he heard correctly.

"Yep! A bard. I collect as many stories as I can and retell them. It's an interesting profession. I meet all sorts of peop0le with all sorts of stories. I enjoy it... though sometimes I tend to talk too much or get myself in a rather... nasty hole. You know. I guess I'm a trouble maker as well as a bard." She gave a half hearted shrug.
How often had she gotten into trouble? How often had she accidentally over stepped the invisible line? She brushed the thoughts away. Why bother thinking over something she couldn't change? Forge gave her a mental pat before poking her to pay attention.
"But if you want to hear one of the stories I've collected then just ask. I'm always happy to blurt out something that sits in my head space," She grinned and gave him a wink. Hopefully this would cheer him up a bit?
