He cleared his throat slightly "Ah, yeah I guess." He spoke, slightly bewildered at her laugh and abrupt stop of the story. His eyes brightened once more as she spoke of a live performance of the rest of it and nodded his head enthusiastically "I'll be sure to do that." He promised solemnly, offering her a small smile before it faded, a soft sigh escaping as he finished his own drink.
He froze lightly as she spoke about him delivering the message and let out a small sigh. So she did catch up on that "Yeah, I should." He agreed, voice again a bit dull, although he couldn't find the exact reason; disappointed that he couldn't hear the rest, or that they departed?
Oh the mysteries. He did offer her another smile though "It could wait, but you're right." He said once more and readied to slide out of the seat "The faster how bigger the chance I can earn a bonus."

"If I had a hat, I would tip it!" Rosemary said with a bow of her head. "It's been a wonderful time with you sir."
She gave him a wink before she reached down for her purse. She pulled a few coins out with the cunning use of her tongue while he wasn't look, and set them on the table. It would cover enough for the pair of them and leave the waitress with a generous tip.
"A bigger bonus is always a wonderful thing," She said as she hopped off the chair herself. The wolf mix gave the mouse another bow of the head. "Good luck, and speedy delivery. I do hope you come to visit me. I'll have plenty of stories to tell now that I'm over a bit of my writer's block."
With a bright smile the wolf trotted off. That was a nice change of pace.

He bowed his head in return "Alas, none is present." He murmured, as if to continue her sentence. He nearly pulled back again as she gave him a small wink, cheeks going aflame again and he was glad that the fur hid most of it. He looked down, allowing her to pull those coins out and shifted in his chair. He nodded his head in agreement "It indeed is." He responded, giving a small smile and stretched slowly, sliding out of his seat and gave her another small smile. His smile widened lightly and he bowed slightly from his waist "I'll be sure to do that." He said, hoping that he indeed would see her again. She had something about her, something that enchanted him and pulled him into her words; or other person's their words, if they cared to tell a story that was. He shook his head lightly and watched after her as she left, before following after her hurriedly; though once outside he changed direction and went to the opposite direction. [OoC: A bit on the late side  ; I presume that this may be considered closed?] |
