((ooc: Because I am crazy and insane and my bunny needs more points. Anyone can join but keep in mind that she is hiding the fact she is a Rabbit. Unless your character is somehow very astute, they will think she is another Card.))Mythiril was terrified. She had never been to the Capital before, and so initially she had been quite excited when one of the other Leverets, who was supposed to go there to get some herbs for a certain dish that were just plain hard to get anywhere near their own Warren, had said they really didn't want to bother with Cards that day and asked Mythiril if she would go in their place. She had of course, accepted, as that was her duty, put on a cloak and vest that concealed the fact of her bare chest and tall ears from the Cards, and hopped on her way. She had made good time in getting here, and managed to avoid most Cards along the way. Once she got to the city, of course, she expected to have to interact with them, but figured she could handle it since she'd had an experience with Cards before...well, one of them. But it turned out that she was very unprepared indeed for just how crowded the streets would be, and just how -weird- and -large- and -scary- all the Cards would be. And so she found herself, as a small creature, frantically dashing about to try and avoid being trampled, clutching to the basket in her mouth for dear life. Finally, she found a quiet area near some odd Card-made structure that spat water into a stone basin, but at least it smelled vaguely like home if she closed her eyes, and she was out of the way. How was she ever going to find -anything- in this mess?

Over his years running errands in the capital, Aleah had cultivated a rather exceptional disguise. His ears would be folded, bound together at the top of his head, and a hat on top of all of that so that the lengthy things would merely fall just past his cheeks. His shirt was long sleeved and covering his paws and even some of his claws, buttoned up meticulously all the way up to his neck. It was an eccentric disguise, but people hardly payed the odd rabbit any mind. Some of the storekeeps even recognized him from time to time. This could have potentially been disastrous, but strangely the cards had grown used to his presence, and hardly gave him a second glance when he came in and did his shopping. That was far better in his opinion, than having people look over with a scrutinizing eye. It was on this day that he'd finished his shopping, huge hat mostly shading his strange face. His bad swished heavily upon his back as he made his way through the crowds and hopefully out of the Capital without incident. And that was when he'd saw her. It wasn't unheard of to see another rabbit in disguise, but it was certainly uncommon enough to cause the leveret to do a double take. She looked.... absolutely horrified. That in itself was enough to have people give her looks. Was she even old enough to be out on her own like this? Honestly, an older leveret should have been chaperoning her first visit. Ducking through the crowd, he made his way slowly in that direction. Careful not to tromp on toes or lacerate Achilles heels, he finally made his way to the wall and sat down beside her. Lifting his hat up a bit with a long, bladelike claw, he looked down at her with a fatigued and scrutinous gaze. "A little young to be out here on your own, aren't you?"

All the sights and sounds were just too much, and Mythiril was practically hyperventillating, her eyes closed and her paws shaking. She had never expected this, never wanted it. She knew Card were scary but had never realized the extent to which...
A voice interrupted her thoughts, deep and intrusive, and Myth started. She whirled to face the other, a defensive remark on the tip of her tongue (she was, after all, 15 and it wasn't fair of a Card to take that tone with her) when she stopped short, blue-green eyes widening. No way...what were the chances? The hints of long ears she could see pulled back, the distinctive muzzle shape, the smell, even...it was another Rabbit! Most likely a Leveret, and she relaxed, just slightly.
"I--I've just never been here before. I'm not as young as I look," she said in a small but strong voice, and then shot a furtive glance at all the Cards rushing past before leaning closer. "I didn't know it'd be like this, but I'm just here to get some spices for the Warren." She looked at him curiously. A Highland. But then, what was with the odd, metallic looking claws she saw poking from the ends of his shirt? She'd never seen something like that before. "Perhaps...you know where I might find some?"

He arched a brow at her defensiveness, lips pursing thoughtfully though he didn't say a word to refute it. He had no damn idea -how- old the girl was, but her inexperience certainly made her look pretty young and naive no matter -what- her age was.
Really though.. did he have time to help out someone else? He'd been out for two whole days without hardly a wink of sleep. Even the thought of his tattered, too-small leveret cot was sounding appealing. He looked around for a few moments, judging the crowd, and his own feelings on the matter. Finally, he gave a shrug.
"Sure. I can help you out, but you're going to need to shape up. Calm yourself down a bit. The last thing I need is for you to blow -my- cover as well." Though his words were decidedly harsh, but he attempted to make up for it with a small, reassuring smile. Hell, it wasn't her fault that he'd not been able to sleep.
"I can do one step better than that; I can show them where you can get them cheaper than anywhere else."

Though not much besides her eyes could be seen from under the hood of the midnight blue cloak, Myth shrank back a little at the tone he took with her, ears pressing themselves flat against her head, the aforementioned eyes wide. After a moment, though, the eyes narrowed, and she nodded, something fierce flashing across her expression. One more try at this. Taking a deep breath and controlling her urge to bleed (after all, he was only a fellow Leveret, and not even of her own Warren, giving him no authority over her) she gathered herself for a moment.
"Of course. I'm sorry," she finally said, voice considerably calmer. She may sound more her own age now that she wasn't panicking. She stood up straighter, showing the other she was ready when he was to brave the main streets of the city again. And now that she wasn't cowering...the fountain was actually really pretty. Huh.
She brightened at the assurance, gaze drawn away from the sparkling water and back to him. "Oh, would you really do that? That would be wonderful!" She picked the basket back up in her mouth and wiggled her tail excitedly, not that the motion would be visible.

Hah. So young... so enthusiastic. Even if she had been terrified, the girl rebounded quickly. That was a good thing, since quick recovery was often necessary when dealing with cards. Show an ounce of weakness and they'll come down on you like a pack of wolves, they would! "Yeah, of course! I won't be around all the time to save your tail but I sure don't mind showing you the ropes. Everyone deserves a bit of help their first run." Giving her a soft nudge with his shoulder, he gestured with his head for her to follow. Every now and then he'd bark a warning when someone got too close, causing them to jump away. Could be quite rude sometimes... but they'd be the ones sorry if they trodded on his blades with bare paws.
He fell back just enough to allow the girl to walk shoulder to shoulder with him, finding a reasonable enough pace that went with the flow of the walking traffic. "The name's Aleah, by the way."

Myth smiled at the other Leveret. Oh, that was so nice of him! It was good to know that some other than rude, loud Cards roamed these streets. She quickly hopped after him, and she herself saw nothing wrong with the way the other Rabbit was yelling at people. After all, in her short time of observation, it was about the way the Cards were acting with one another, wasn't it? Maybe you needed to be tough and show no weakness in order to blend in. Well, Myth could do that! Or at least try. She held her head high, not letting any of her lingering fear at being pushed back into the crowds show. After all, she was no longer alone.
Grateful as she was for his company, she was even more thankful when he fell back to keep pace with her. How thoughtful! She met his blue eyes, and then he had introduced himself, and she knew she should do the same, nevermind that she was carrying a basket in her mouth. "Mythiril," she managed to get out intelligibly enough. For some reason, she felt more this Rabbit's equal than she did more of the Leverets in her own Warren. They just seemed so much more unpersonable.

Aleah glanced her way when she extended her name as well, giving a small grin when he realized how quickly she'd calmed down. That was good; perhaps she'd adjust quickly enough so that this would be the last time she needed help out in the wild, dangerous world of Cards. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Mythiril."
He gestured with his head to stay close as he slipped out of the main stream of walking traffic and into a store filled with a variety of herbs. Glancing at her shopping list, he helped her pick out what she needed, and even helped count out the Card money needed to pay for the items. At least the older leverets in the warren were kind enough to equip her with the proper amount of currency for the transaction.
After they were done there, he took them back outside and to a quieter part of the street, away from the merchant shops so they could sit down and have a rest. He pulled out a piece of bread from his pack and broke it in half, offering her one of the pieces. "I hope you don't mind. I haven't gotten the chance to eat lunch today.

"Likewise," she replied politely, double skipping to avoid getting tripped over by a large group of Cards going the other direction. Goodness, but there were so -many- of them! How often did Card-Does have litters? She followed his pawsteps like a small shadow, cloak whispering over the ground, and it was with great relief that she found herself following him into a store that not only smelled wonderful, but was much less crowded.
Eager to show that she wasn't entirely unprepared, she made sure to speak politely to the shopkeeper and found what she needed (with his help) in just a few minutes. With a basket now full of rare and sweet-smelling herbs, Myth felt a surge of satisfaction on having finally done something -right-. She would have followed Aleah just about anywhere right then, so she sat down eagerly enough, carefully setting the full basket beside her to rest her jaws. Even the Cards seemed less menacing now than they had before entering the store.
"Oh, no, not at all! Thank you very much, Aleah," she said softly, accepting the bread with a slight flush. "I haven't had a chance to take any food since this morning, either..." Nibbling at it, she shot a curious glance at him out of the corner of her eyes. Under his elaborate costume, it was a bit hard to tell what he looked like, but she saw flashes of gold and white and red. "Do you live in the Highlands, then?" She was proud of herself for remembering not to mention Warrens, since Cards didn't have them, for some odd reason, and she didn't want to attract any attention, not just when things were going well!

"I do." Aleah responded, sounding absolutely pleased and proud that such a thing had come up. Well, it was hard to find someone of Highland heritage who wasn't proud of it.
He made an effort to chew his bite of bread quickly so that he could speak again. It felt necessary to ask a question in turn. Having nothing entirely original on his mind, he decided to turn the question back on her. "What about you? Does the home region reflect the pelt?" It was not always the case with leverets to live in their own region; they were traded often and across regions. His own mother was Hisstor, after all. Even then, it made for decent conversation that was safe even amongst cards. Not that anyone was paying attention to them anyhow.
Of course.. he'd never seen many mid-range bunnies at all. Were they somewhat rare? High maintenance for sure, he'd heard. They had a habit of... bleeding everywhere.
