"Ah! I heard it's very pretty there," Myth said, a slightly dreamy quality stealing into her voice. This trip to the Capital was actually the furthest she had ever traveled from her home Warren, but she had often, in the private of her own little nook, dreamed about exploring. She knew she would never be able to, after all, she was just a little Leveret with no more say in her fate than a flower could decide where it grew. If she were lucky, she'd get traded to an interesting Jack who lived somewhere nice...not that where she lived now wasn't nice, but some variety would be interesting.
She smiled a bit at the question, nibbling a bit more bread before answering. "No, sadly, I've never seen my native region. I live in the Selkie Lakes." There was something she'd never had a chance to ask her Mother-Doe about (not that she'd had a chance to ask her a great many things, as little contact as she had with Nayeli)--if she'd ever seen The Mid-Range, and what it was like. She'd never met any other Ranger Rabbits either, but then again she'd met very few Rabbits that weren't part of her home Warren. "Aleah..." she looked at him a bit shyly. "Do you perhaps have a bit of water?" The bread was making her a bit thirsty, and she figured there was no harm in asking.

"Absolutely gorgeous. I actually plan to set myself up a little territory when- well.. when that time comes anyways." He gave a bit of a chuckle. Lately, he had not been keeping his intentions to become a Jack when he came in contact with leverets.. especially pretty ones. In a way, he hoped that if he began his courtship early then he'd have a better chance when he either stole away or bought leverets. Perhaps some would even come Does for him.
His brows raised when she spoke, looking up at him in a way that -almost- managed to make him blush. Almost. When she asked for water though, he immediately looked down in his bag, as much to retrieve the item as to hide his embarrassment. He was a far cry from the smooth and debonair Jack he was striving to become. "Oh! Ah.. let me look. I should still have a bit left." He very carefully sifted through the sack, lifting up the water flask by the strap so as not to accidentally puncture it. It was with practiced ease that he popped the top off of the flask and offered it to her. When one spent their entire life with such dangerous appendages, one had to learn how to use them.

Myth's eyes widened at the little slip. That could only mean...she gave a fervent, wide-eyed look at Aleah, before her expression relaxed into thoughtfulness. He'd make a rather...handsome Jack, she thought to herself absently. From what she could see of him, anyway, and now she wished she could see more! And he seemed nice and fair enough, though...was there some sort of magical personality change that accompanied the physical one when male Leverets stepped up? She'd always wondered this, but never knew who to ask. Perhaps he would want her to work for him? The thought perked her up. She had always feared being left alone and unwanted once her Father-Jack was bored of her.
She smiled when he handed her the water, though for the first time she caught sight of his... unusual paws. Oh my, what a splendid weapon for a Jack to have! "Thank you very much, Aleah," she said, taking the flask carefully in her paws and sipping. She wondered if she should mention anything about his...aspirations. But perhaps it would be polite? "I...hope you make it," she said quietly enough he'd have to strain his ears a bit to hear her.

The look of shock worried him a bit; not all leverets thought well of those who wanted to escalate into the respected ranks of Doe and Jack. She'd flinched at his claws. It... delighted him? What a terrible thing to think; but for people to acknowledge his weaponry caused him to feel powerful instead of just some mutated nuisance like his father no doubt saw him. Of course.. he wouldn't dare think of hurting something that couldn't fight back; such a thing would be horribly dishonorable.
Oh, but she approved! Or rather, didn't cringe from him as if he were insane. Her quiet comment almost went unheard, but his keen ear which had been focused on her had picked it up. His claw went up to the brim of his hat, tipping it up much like he had when he'd first spoke to her.. but this time it was a smile and a wink of his blue eyes, the whites of them reddened with the constant fatigue he dealt with every day of his life. "Oh don't you worry about that; it's Jack or bust, darlin'!" That too, was said low enough so that the cards couldn't overhear, flashing her an almost mischievous grin.
"But." He deftly changed the subject. "I certainly don't want you to get in trouble for taking too long with your delivery. Don't let me make you late talking about all my blather."

She took another sip of the water, though she nearly choked on it as he...winked at her. That was odd, somehow. She'd never...had anyone treat her like that before. Just...been friendly. A very light pink blush rose to her cheeks, though this might not be noticeable under her fur. She didn't think his comment needed any reply, so she pulled her cloak a little closer about her body and took one last sip of water, then made to hand the flask back to him with both paws.
"Oh!" Her ears lowered a bit at his subject change; she'd really been enjoying his company, somehow. She glanced at the sky, though, and did notice the sun lower than it had been when she'd gotten to the city. "I was given all day to be out but...you're right, Aleah..." She wondered if she would see him again...perhaps when he made a Rank to Jack...but how would he find her? She was just a little Leveret, but oh! "I really should get back to Remmington." Her Father-Jack's name was said with such reverence (and a change in posture) that he couldn't possibly miss the fact she was referring to her Jack. She stood up after he took the flask, bringing the basket closer to herself with a paw.

Aleah's ear gave another attentive flick. "Remmington, eh? I'll remember that." He said with a grin as he packed up the flask. Just as she needed to get back to her home, Aleah needed to as well; with his coming of age long come and gone, he should have very well turned Jack by now if he was going to, and his father's patience was wearing thin... which meant even being -on time- meant he was in trouble. No, he had to be early and out of sight before the man could unleash his rage.
"It was nice meeting you, Mythril. No doubt we'll run into one another again." And it was with that odd promise lingering in the air, he tipped his hat in a gentlemanly fashion before striking off into the crowd to make his own way home.

Mythiril grinned, eyes sparkling under her hood. He had picked up on what she was trying to say. Maybe she could actually be wanted! Her Father could have someone to trade her to, and everything would go well! Her little tail wiggled happily as she straightened her cloak a bit. She would make them all proud of her. She would make Aleah happy by being a good servant.
"You too, Aleah. Thanks for helping me, again. And oh, I hope so," she replied, the last words a little shy again. She was dreaming, after all. She'd always dreamed, usually about silly things, things that could never happen to a meager little Leveret like her. But maybe some dreams could come true? Taking the basket in her mouth, she turned and hopped back on the path out of the city, continuing to dream of a future that had never seemed so clear all the way back to her Warren.
((aaaand DONE? :> ))
