Xander appreciated the kindness from the pure Torquehelm. He couldn't help but wonder how accepting the woman was. She clearly was very willing to accept Benedict and Falks for what they were. Maybe she wasn't all right in the head?

Either way, he brushed thoughts off as glanced at Falks and Benedict using teamwork. "You know Falks, it would be better if you just undid your jacket so you could use your hands."

He had been bringing up the subject for a while. Benedict had been as well, so in all honesty the bat-cat shouldn't have been as surprised as he was. His eyes widened briefly, making the terror stricken expression look ten times worse. "But... Mommy says that's a bad idea!"

"But even Grandma has her hands to use in her human form! Why shouldn't you undo your jacket every now and again? It would certainly help out Ben." Xander shook his head. "Anyway, thank you Miss Dania for finding him and helping him out. I really appreciate it."

Benedict would have been happy for the subject to progress. But he didn't have much to say in the matter as he was stuck with the candy bag. He glanced over at the shopkeeper, who seemed to be preoccupied with something. Maybe he could get a word in?

"Yes, thank you very much Dania!" Falks said brightly.

Benedict just bowed his head in thanks. No point in risking them being thrown out of the shop.

Dania kept quiet as the pair of felines discussed the child's binding. If pressed, she would admit to taking Falkenhayn's side on the matter- she heard many times from her parents how terrible the result of tampering with a binding could be. Still, it was none of her business, and she was strongly in favor of everyone minding their own business whenever possible.

Xander's words of thanks, however gracious, held a tinge of dismissal about them. As the hour was growing later and she still had shopping to do, she decided that the best course of action was to heed the hint and take her leave of the candy shop.

"You are most welcome." She replied to Xander, smiling at the child as he added his thanks. She nodded to Benedict in reply, wishing to acknowledge him without drawing too much attention to his unusual situation.

"It's great to have met you all, and I hope you have a nice day." The rat tempered her natural tendency toward awkwardness with a touch of Diamond charm, just enough to seem gracious, rather than jumpy. In general, she avoided socializing as much as possible-- she was all too likely to make a fool out of herself. "I hope I see you again some time, Falkenhayn." In a quieter voice she added, "And you, Ben."
