The two seemed about as argumentative as Donnie and her sister had been when they were younger. It was kind of funny to watch, but it would have been more amusing if she could stop looking at the keys poking up from the fur of the Morganberry child's back. She'd never heard of anything like that happening, ever, and she'd grown up in the Villa! You'd think that if anyone had been born in the region with a sibling who turned out to be their soul-bonded instrument, word would have spread. Maybe these two were the first ones it ever happened to?
"But wouldn't it make more sense to have an instrument in her back if she was a Villa?" the wolverine asked dubiously. She didn't think region had anything to do with it. Well, Kamaria's did, obviously. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I've seen a few talented Morganberry musicians. But I've never seen anything like her before. That's just... interesting." Her tongue hesitated on the word 'weird'. It just didn't taste right, calling a little girl weird when she obviously had enough problems. If she'd been older, yeah, there wouldn't have been hesitation, but these two looked pretty young.

Coming to sit besides her sister she looked up at the stranger from lowered eyes. She looked really scary but she did not appear to be mean. Deciding she needed to be brave like her sister she gave a soft "Hi" to the woman.
When the woman started to play Elektra's ears went up. The woman played really well. Not that it was surprising to any degree she , after all, was like her sister - a Villa - so it was only natural that she would play well.
Tilting her head to the side she looked back and forth between the two as they tossed questions and answers between the two of them. There seemed to be something wrong with her. Her ears going back she tucked her tail which had slowly uncurled back between her legs.
People were always looking at her strangely. Something had to be wrong with her. She resisted the urge to cry though tears still gathered, blurring her vision slightly.

Kamaria stared up at the older woman for a long moment and when she spoke again, it was a bit slowly as though she were trying to explain a difficult concept to someone who wasn't particularly quick; it wasn't a purposeful attempt to be condescending, it just came out that way. "Villas are the musicians," she pointed out. "Elektra is a Morganberry. She'd have to be the instrument." Her tone added a 'duh' to the end, though she tried very hard to not say it out loud.
Kami didn't immediately realize that her sister was upset, but she caught the tiny sniff as the red female tried to keep from crying. She glanced over at her sister and whapped her against the back of the head with one of her white tails. "Oh, hush, Elektra," she said quickly, though her tone was a bit more gentle than it usually was when referring to her sister. Previous episodes told her why her sister was upset. "You're just how you're supposed to be."

That was the classic pose of 'kicked puppy' if ever she'd seen one. Damn. Donnie hadn't meant to insult the little thing. She wondered how old they were, not that she knew much about kids' ages and development. She'd never watched anyone's children during her teenage years. There had always been too much practicing and schooling and running around playing sports to worry about babysitting.
She knew condescending when she heard it, though, and it made her frown slightly. Uppity little thing. Maybe that was the Highlander showing through. She could take it, she supposed, since she had upset the girl's sister.
And there was a convenient out to smooth things over! "Of course she is," the wolverine agreed with a stronger nod than she felt. "Otherwise she wouldn't have been born that way. She's just... special. If you aren't the only pair of children ever to be born with this particular connection, I'll be very surprised." No need to make a little girl cry. She could smooth things over to some degree.

One of Elektra's ears perked up a little at her sister and the lady's comments. Special was good right? Whenever her other sister had wanted to keep something to herself she had always called it 'special' and thus it also meant that Elektra was not allowed to play with it. Special definitely sounded like it was a good thing.
"Elektra is Kami's instrument" She replied with a small, slow nod of her head though her eyes never left that of the other Villa. See! It made perfect sense, she told herself.
Feeling a little more relieved over the situation she took a seat next to, and a little behind, her sister. She was a little regretful that she had caused conflict between her sister and the lovely lady. And a lovely lady she was though Elektra found herself to be intimidated by the lady some.

When Elektra came to sit near her, Kamaria almost instinctively extended out her tails to make sure at least one was in contact with her youngest sister. It wasn't that she didn't trust Elektra; it was that she didn't trust Elektra alone. She glanced back over her shoulder once to ascertain that all truly was well in her sister's world. The little two-tailed fox seemed to have forgiven Donnie her 'faux pas' earlier since the Morganberry was now reassured.
The Highlander/Villa mix was now caught on the idea of hers and Tra's connection being unique. Her ears tilted towards the wolverine and her head tilted curiously to one side. "Do you really think we're the only ones like this?" she asked and the note in her voice said that she very much hoped so. Any earlier annoyance was utterly gone, as though it hadn't ever been.

Seeing two sisters be so close at this age was oddly endearing for Donnie, like the relationship she'd never had with her own sister. They had fought constantly about stupid little things. For all that one seemed to be dependent on the other, these two looked very close. The odd mutation probably helped that connection. It would hold them in good stead if they could maintain it as they grew.
"You know, I really do," the wolverine agreed, running one hand over the smoothly carved surface of her own instrument. "I've never seen a living instrument before, much less one that was related to its player, even after living in the Villa. Her player, excuse me." She nodded her head at Elektra in slight apology. Cute children. They got over things so quickly.
With the mix of three regions in the pair of them, she could only guess at what their family must be like. What a mix. "So tell me, do either of your parents play an instrument?"

((OOC: Is there still muse for this, or has it been a long enough period that it's faded? I know that pre-Queen Donnie is a bit hard for me to summon now, but I might-could-possibly if you were still interested.))
