Thirty minutes of mind numbing pain. She did everything her her limited range of power to try and stop it, from clawing herself to flailing in agony. Nothing worked, and no one was coming to save her. She was alone, and her mouth had gotten her into this mouse. She couldn't have just walked away? No. She had to pester him.
Never again. Never ever again.
When the pain was all over, she hovered in and out of consciousness. She couldn't move, she couldn't think straight, she could only hope someone found her by chance. And that someone was good. What if someone took advantage of her while she was prone in an alleyway?

It wasn't dumb luck. They had been staying with Uncle Ez for the evening thanks to Eurwen's constant badgering. Radz had noticed, fairly quickly that his sister was missing when he woke up. After a short conversation with his Uncle about where she probably was they both set out to find her.
Neither of them knew she had been in an alleyway, alone, for forty or so minutes. It was the sparrow who had made the horrifying discovery. And quickly flew into action.
