"Making people cry is a waste of time." Conway commented as he watched the rat lick his teeth. That was the most disgusting thing he had had the pleasure of seeing in most of his life. There was something much more horrible that ranked above that but he conveniently blocked that memory out.
Oh. So maybe he didn't work in the courts. After all everyone there had some sort of ego. Without that they wouldn't be a noble after all. The boy simply remained silent as he thought about a particular noble who had paid him to kill the Queen of Hearts. His son. The bastard. An an involuntary shudder ran up his spine.
The change of subject was a welcome one. "I'll just use the wire I have in my pocket. Strangling would probably be the best way to off someone on a night like this." Of course, Conway's methods of strangling were in no way a quiet death. And if there was going to be a struggle there probably would be blood. Lots of blood.

Not when you get to taste their tears ... they're quite delectable.
He couldn't help but lick his teeth again at the thought, he really did need to find a way to get another taste. Another chuckle made it's way from his throat. He did stop when he felt the beginnings of a tickling sensation in his throat, he really didn't want to go into a coughing fit here and now. He didn't quite think and sign of weakness would be appropriate here.
The mention of wire though, that intrigued him and he lifted a brow once more and couldn't quite hide the cheerful intrigue that bubbled up into his expression.
Wire huh? Never used it and I've never seen it used ... should be interesting if you don't chicken out boy.
He looked the other man over once again after he said that to confirm that that was indeed the proper title, he had to have been at least half his own age if looks were any indication ... and it pissed him off a little bit. A young man with a human form ... pfft, he probably hadn't even earned it.

"Whatever turns you on." Conway commented quietly as they walked the streets. Tasting someone's tears probably involved licking them, and frankly that drew the line for Conway. Unless there was actual hardcore sex involved there would be no licking. Gah. Disgusting. Maybe it was a Lowland Murder thing to do? Didn't some Cards eat people in the Lowlands.
He raised an eyebrow at the chicken comment. He was a boy, and could careless about that little title. Chicken however wasn't something he like. A small growl escaped him before he hushed it with his ability. He turned it back off when he spoke. "I wouldn't chicken out on a hit. If I say the person is going to die they're going to die. And if they don't go without a struggle they're going to suffer."
Conway gave the rat a dark look. So many people had questioned his abilities but he was obviously still alive to prove his worth.

His ears twitched a bit, he could have sworn he heard the beginnings of a growl but there was the possibility that he was hearing things, he wasn't quite sure what sorts of things locking yourself away in a room for several months alone did to your head. Well ... Morpheus popped by every now and again but that hardly counted as socializing in his book... the boy was far to busy with his disgusting little pet now a days. On second thought ... perhaps he should take a visit to Corvistowne and see what kind of.... progress his boy was making? Ah, yes, sounded like a decent end to a job ... right after he got his kicks from the younger man who looked a bit annoyed, goody!
His ears swiveled forward and trained themselves onto the Joker, a rather broad grin appearing on his muzzle and showing off those yellow teeth of his again.
Now that's the attitude I like to hear ... I was just making sure you were in he mood is all.
That grin twisted up a bit more, exposing his rather... disgusting teeth even further.
I look forward to watching the cat suffer ... I can almost guarantee you that you'll have a struggle ... but, what's the fun without one?

Rats were disgusting. Lowlander rats doubly so. The young man kept that to himself as they continued to walk. The canine could careless for a struggled. He sighed. Well at least he would be walking away from this encounter alive.
This cat whoever they were were obviously stupid enough to piss off a Lowlander. Conway shrugged. "The benefit of no struggle is your target being dead in a pool of pretty blood or in this case they have the most wonderful shocked expression on their face. It's kind of funny really."
Dead people in generally weren't very humorous, but he couldn't help but laugh at some of the things he had seen. Sometimes when people died of shock they had some of the weirdest expressions on their faces. But that's what he should be focusing on.
"Er... how well built is that cat anyway? Are they like a big manly cat or a little wimpy cat?" He thought he should know before he tried anything dump when they got to their location.

He'd be the first to agree that Lowlanders were disgusting, vile creatures ... but that's just how he was brought up; any Lowlander outside of his own bloodline were worthless and only put on the earth to be mindless drudges. Then again they could be useful ... if they ever showed a little ambition. The ones that were happy to live a life of servitude sickened him, but a lot of things did that.
I'm rather fond of making a mess of things, blood spatter compliments ever kind of decor.
Of course nothing of the sort would be permitted in his own, personal living space. No, his own environment had to be clean, immaculate even. His quarters in the Spade court were kept spotless and organized, and he tried ot keep his wiry coat the same way ... but that was a little difficult and often went unnoticed in favor of his yellow teeth, oozing eyes and rotten patch on his nose. He fully intended on showering before he returned home ... no one there knew of his outside activities and he wanted to keep it that way. It was best to keep the present Queen thinking the way she was ... foolish woman.
Eh, facial expressions are only interesting for a few years ... I like the sounds ... they're more gratifying, especially when you hear a new one.
He'd been doing this sort of thing for quite a long time and it had only gotten easier, in every aspect, as he'd gained ranks. He may have had an awful reputation, but the .... 'disposable' nature of a Lowlander was just to good of a pull. Because, really ... if he was caught who would believe him over one of his employers?
He paused, eying a building that was trapped somewhere between nice and shabby, the type that looked like it had been top notch at some point but just wasn't anymore ... It could definitely use a remodel.
Mmm ... I think I let it be a surprise. At any rate ... he's supposed to be waiting behind this Inn. Anything funny and it'll be your pretty little head I take instead of his.
He grinned again, displaying all those yellowed teeth of his before turning and making his way to the little alley between the inn and whatever sort of business was nest to it, leading the way but keeping an ear trained behind him. It was only then that he noticed that he couldn't make out any footsteps besides his own and it made his fur bristle a bit. He knew this little alley well enough that he gave into his paranoia and kept an eye on the boy ... there was just no way that he was going to let someone kill him just yet, he had promises to make good on.
The cat was waiting behind the building just as was planned, leaning against it with his arms crossed, well almost. He had one lifted enough to watch as he sheathed and unsheathed his claws to kill the boredom. He was built big, like most of his region, but he was on the somewhat slighter side of that spectrum. The rat was late, but it made the Selkie feline grin, maybe his old 'friend' had done that disgusting vermin in and he would no longer be indebted to the Lowlander? His tufted ears flicked as he heard someone coming and turned his gaze over to the alley entrance, his claws still out.

Conway took the comments with a grain of salt. If he had been good at anything else he would have honestly done that for a living. Of course he wasn't normal so he couldn't do any of his hobbies for a living.
Surprises were always a bad thing. It generally meant that he was going to walk away with bruises. He refrained from sighing as they walked down the alleyway. He eyed the rat out of the corner of his eye. Had he finally noticed the lack of sound? Or maybe the lack of shadow? It didn't matter. He had already made this this far.
He caught sight of the Lakelander and bit his lower lip. Even if he was slight for his reason, he still looked like he could snap the Hisstor like a twig. What was with big people hiring people who were obviously more slight than they were?
Conway twitched slightly. He transformed into a biped form--it wasn't his form though it was a wolf. A Hisstor mixed with Selkie, he was mostly his normal region's color with white socks and blue circles on them. Instead of his regular Hisstor mutation he had arm fluffs. King of Spades was on his chest. He could easily pass off his own ability as a Jack and King ability.
He was still unimpressive. The wire he had in his pocket was now wrapped around one of his arms, blending in with all of the fur. Hopefully the cat hadn't seen him yet, and this would go smoothly when he made his move.

Miss me?
He flicked his ears forward with interest as he watched the feline's expression fall, and then lift into a somewhat pleased smirk. Obviously he wasn't entirely happy to see the rat alive, well and .... completely unwounded? Yes, from the time he'd killed the mix to now he'd been using his Jack ability and had managed to heal himself completely. He tossed the hand to the cat, who caught it ... but didn't really give it much of a once over. Not yet. Instead he he unfolded his other arm and snagged the shorter bi-ped's whiskers, pulling the rat close to him and pulling a hiss from the lowlander's throat.
You're late ... we talked about that.
Osias pulled his ears back against his skull, staring the feline directly in his teal eyes, lifting a hand to grip the man's arm with his bony fingers.
You're not aloud to touch me ..... Sameese.
He grinned, yellow teeth visible as he activated his King ability. The cat was a far to sure of himself 10, which is why he'd hired the lowland King to kill the other Selkie, but that just meant this particular ability would still work. His disgustingly white fur started to turn brown starting at the point where his palm met the man's arm, the change spreading until it had engulfed his entire coat .... leaving him the green and purple swirls of the Lowlands and peeling back the skin on one of his arms and his tail and finally eating away an ear entirely. His Selkie tufts were still there, but they were knotted and scruffy, ugly ... just like the rest of him was now .... and he the rat's whiskers as shock set in ... and swiftly turned to anger.
Still grinning like a fool the rat hopped backward several times and averted his gaze briefly to where he'd left the boy. This was Conway's fight, as they'd discussed earlier, he just wanted a little revenge for being touched.
He hated being touched ... well ... with the exception of one person, and one person only.
[[ I've been dieing to use that ability ... XD;]]

Shock was an element that Conway had been counting on. The fact that the man had turned into a Lowlander should have been enough to give him a good opening. Even if he was furious, The element of surprise combined with with speed should be enough to kill the target. Magic made things so much easier. Using the Spade speed he rushed forward, stopping as fast as he could. spinning around he laced the wire around the man's neck, twisting it around to make a complete loop. Then he pulled with all the might he could muster.
And still no sound came from Conway as he made the motions to make the kill. He wouldn't stop pulling on the wire until the man stopped breathing or his head popped off. Conway may not have had the strongest person, but strength wasn't needed in this case. It was a matter of stamina and how long he could hold out against time. It didn't take long.
