When Theo returned with the juice, and the news of having to take medicine, Neil's expression sunk a little but he accepted both the pill and the juice without protest. This would be dreadful, medicine was always dreadful, but he couldn't say no to Theofilus.
Not to mention that being good now and being healthy would be all the better for him in the long run.
"All right." He whined a little, fidgeting, but he managed to get the pill down without much trouble. His expression contorted briefly and he took another swig of apple juice before speaking up again. "Ewww." Swallowing another swig of juice, the younger fox laughed a little. "It's not so bad, really. Th-Thank you for taking such good care of me."
Neil was still at an absolute loss as to why such a powerful and important man was taking care of him...a nothing.

Theofilus smiled. No one liked taking medicine, but he couldn't help but find it cute. However, Neil was a grown "man." Of course, if he was an orphan he couldn't imagine the boy had a proper education so he was still a "boy" rather than a man. He probably just hit adulthood, that or he kept his youth.
"You're welcome." Theofilus said with another smile. "If there's anything else you want, just let me know. And you'll be spending the night in the guest's bedroom. It's small, but it should be pretty comfortable. As for dinner... I think I'll have something delivered if you don't mind. Do you want anything in particular?"
He might as well make arrangements for dinner. Then while that was taken care of he could explain to the carriage driver that they would leave in the morning.

Bitter medicine was instantly forgotten in favor of the wonderful things Theo was talking about. Food and a bed to sleep in. He didn't care how big it was, or how hard or soft or...anything. It was a bed.
"That's wonderful! I haven't had a proper bed to sleep on in..." The excited canine paused, brows furrowing in thought before he shook his head of the thought. "Well, a very long time, but small won't be bad at all -- I'm used to sleeping in small places." None of that really mattered anymore, however, because now did have a bed and he could sleep in it on a full stomach, too! "Uhm... I don't know, what would you like? I'd like to try anything, Theofilus, and I'm sure anything you'd get would be delicious."
Especially if it wasn't stale, or plucked from a produce stand. It would most likely be warm too, which was a very exciting prospect.

"I suppose I'll order some food then. If anyone else stops by then we can share a bit with them," He hummed a bit as he wandered off to grab a menu. Maybe the carriage driver would want some food too. Well, he could always run out to get it.
There was a knock on the door while Theofilus was reading the menu. He paused for a few moments before heading to the door. The carriage driver was on the other side looking rather winded. "Sorry I'm late, Your Majesty. I ran into a bit of a problem with the carriage.... " He trailed off when he saw the look on the Queen's face. Theofilus was the cool and collected type, but he normally didn't look amused when he was late.
"Ah, yes. Are you willing to spend the night in the city Sig? I've picked up a traveling companion and I think it would be better to leave in the morning." The man smiled at the driver motioning for him to come in.
Sig hesitated... the Queen was so unorthodox sometimes. "All right sir. That's fine by me."
"But would you do me a favor, could you pick up some food for my guest and I? And for yourself of course, but you can get whatever you want if you haven't already. Just be back before seven." The sparrow held out the menu that had several items circled on it.
Well. At least the Queen wouldn't yell at him if he took his sweet time. "All right, sir."

Neil nodded happily, beaming eagerly. He was up for sharing, most definitely. He wasn't the stingy sort, especially not when he was already being treated. He simply had no right. Lightly he shifted, leaning over the edge of the chair ever so slightly. He was trying hard to mind his manners, but old habits died hard...especially once he found himself getting properly acclimated to the new area.
Once the knock came, however, Neil instantly perked his ears and leaned a bit further forward. Who was here? Sig? From the sound of it, he was the person that would be taking them to the Palace...and picking them up dinner. Would he be staying for dinner as well, then?
His tail waved behind him like a gentle banner, the pace slow but undeniably happy. He was getting food and a place to stay...and a million other things he'd never experienced before.

Only a moment passed after Theofilus had sent the driver on his way again that there came a quiet knock on the door, alerting the pair to the presence of yet another guest. Calia had gotten off work only a few minutes earlier, and had come home only to see the lights on in the house. She blinked curiously, realizing that one of her many family members must be entertaining. A small smile flitted across her lips as she made her way to the house, a lightness entering each step that had not been there before. She loved meeting Theofilus's business partners, and if her sons were in town, that would be even better. She thought for a moment that perhaps it was Ceren with her granddaughters in tow, and that thought made the woman all but run to the door. After knocking softly she stepped back to wait for a reply, still thinking to herself about who might be there. It was her home too, but she would always knock to be polite, especially if there was an important business meeting going on.

Theofilus was about to say something when a knock interrupted his thought process. Who on earth was knocking? Sig was already gone... had he forgotten something? The sparrow shrugged it off and went to the door.
His eyes widened when he saw who was on the other side. "Calia!" He said cheerfully as he ushered her inside and gave her a kiss. She must have thought he was entertaining a business guest or something similar. Otherwise she probably would have just walked in--it was her house too after all.
"I have some good news for you before we tell each other about our exciting days. We have a nice young man as our guest. There's quite a bit of explaining to do but that can wait for some other time." The man offer Calia his hand so he could lead her into the living room so she could meet Neil.
Once they were in the living room Theofilus commenced with the proper introductions.

Once the driver left, Neil settled back into his chair and stretched lightly, beginning to yawn heavily. He couldn't wait for dinner, he was getting rather tired after the busy day they'd been having... Well, not so much busy, really, as overly stimulating.
So much had happened that Neil didn't even know what to do with himself anymore.
And then someone else was knocking, or perhaps the same person, and Neil's exhaustion was instantly forgotten. He sprung upward again, ears perked and tail wagging. Was it food? Company?
He leaned forward once again, straining around the corner to see who it was. Especially after Theofilius's cheerful exclamation upon seeing whomever it was. Calia?
Once they entered the living room, however, Neil settled down and beamed lightly at the pretty human that had entered the room. He couldn't help but wonder what it'd be like to have a human form like that too. "Hi!" He yipped out lightly, smiling sweetly.

When Theofilus opened the door, Calia's expression brightened noticably and she easily fell into his greeting kiss. It was so strange to her that, even after so many years, he could still sweep her off her feet so effortlessly. At his words, her eyes widened slightly. A guest? And explaining? Well, this could certainly prove to be rather... interesting, she was sure. A small smile played across her lips as she reached out, accepting Theofilus's hand and following him into the room.
She wasn't exactly sure what she was expecting to find, but it certainly wasn't a brightly-hued and beautiful boy. She blinked in confusion once, and then returned his smile with a glowing one of her own as she gave him a small curtsy after Theofilus had introduced them.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Neil.[/b]" she said happily, crossing the room to sit in a chair near the canine, expression as curious as it was delighted. "Has Theofilus remembered to order us something to eat?[/b]" she said with a small and playful grin aimed in the man's general direction.
