She refrained from cursing at the question. The feline honestly didn't want to answer that question. The girl had been high last night. That's probably why she was so willing to get rid of her life threatening bindings.
But she had agreed. This was a bad idea but... Xiven reached out for the tea. "Let me refill that for you." She said with a smile as she took the cup from the bird's reach, pouring more tea into it. She used her Queen ability to drug the tea.
She gave the bird the cup again. "We're just going to go to the Capital. I'm so happy you agreed to go with me. I would have been so lonely otherwise."
She made a mental note of the name Vren. If she couldn't find Imre she just had to ask for an associate of Vren. Everything would be fine and go smoothly.
At least that's what Xiven hoped for. If the girl had other family that was bound... she was going to be ripped a new one.
Queen's Ability: Once per week, she can touch something that is edible or drinkable and secrete her own tasteless, untraceable poison into it. This poison will put the other person into a deep, coma-like sleep for twenty days, after which point they will wake up normally and feeling very refreshed.

"Oh, thank you." Poe smiled slightly, it was a smile that was growing increasingly tinged with confusion. As nice as this lovely Corivstownien was, she seemed... almost a little strange. As if she wasn't quite saying something. Poe, however, could not figure out what it was.
"The Capital? That's very interesting, I've never been there before... I've never really left his area before." Poe took the tea back, hesitating before taking another sip. Something was weighing on her mind. Was she going with Xiven just because she was lonely otherwise? That didn't seem to make much sense. Had Vren sent her to accompany Xiven? That also didn't seem likely.
As she thought, Poe took a deep sip. "You.. shouldn't..." Poe's thoughts fluttered for a second as a small spell of dizzying drowsiness. Ohh... she must have still been feeling the affects of the night before. The finch shook her head gently and took another sip of tea, hoping it would chase away the confusion... but to not avail. Instead of furthering abating it, it only made it worse. "Huh...?" Was the most the tiny adolescent was able to murmur out before the cup tumbled out of her hand and she slumped delicately back down into a deep sleep.

She remained silent as the girl spoke. With those bindings she probably had a short leash. Well she would change that hopefully. Xiven sighed as she watched the girl struggle to stay awake before the tea cup fell to the floor. The feline sighed. This was going to be terribly complicated wasn't it? At least she had time to think now. She picked up the tea cup to begin with, disposing of the contents. She didn't want anyone else being knocked out by accident. The Queen slipped out of the room and hurried down stairs. Breakfast, transportation and trying to find a proper doctor in the capital. The first two problems were easy to solve. It was just a matter of getting to the capital. She came back up to the room with a bit of assistance. "Please be careful with my things." Xiven instructed as she grabbed her weapon and hoisted it on her back. She was going to be the one to carry Poe as well. Now it was a time to get moving. (( OOC: how do you want to do this? Should we skip to the capital or... what? ))

While the bird slept plenty of things happened. Xiven managed to go to the capital and find a proper doctor, who removed her bindings. Once they were removed she had to travel back to Torquehelm and get her rebound in a less than threatening way.
The person left the cuffs around her legs for whatever reason. She asked her mother for advice, and was told which binding would be best for a bird. Chains, similar to handcuffs or shackles were attached to Poe's wings.
So she couldn't fly now. That was great, causing another problem. At least the chain was long enough not to cause problems, right? Xiven still didn't understand the whole binding thing. But it was quite a process that took quite some time.
But it was still quite a way before Poe woke from her slumber. Xiven sat in the miserable coffee house, and waited for Imre to show up. If she spent one more night in this god forsaken hell hole she was going to explode. The courts seemed like a wonderful place to be.

Poe was unconscious, and happily so. Anything less would have meant a great deal of pain and probably a considerable amount more anguish of the mental kind. Luckily, she remained blissfully unconscious.
Imre, while he hadn't gotten any sign of a letter, had made it a point to periodically check in to the little coffee shop where he'd first met Xiven in hopes of being there when his sister returned. If she returned. He really hoped he could trust the woman... Nevertheless he returned every couple of nights or so, checking with the owner of the little shop to be certain Poe hadn't been in.
She hadn't.
Until tonight. Slipping into the coffee shoppe, it only took a quick scan to locate the duo he was looking for. Or rather, one of the two. He instantly fluffed up with worry. Had something happened? Was Poe alright? Parzi would never forgive him if his attempt to help Poe had ultimately failed.
"Excuse me, miss Xiven... Your majesty..." He smiled nervously. "It is nice to see you again..." The odd crow glanced around, looking for Poe. Where was she? "How is my sister?"

Oh. Thank. God. Xiven stood up when Imre came over to the table. Throwing the money down she motioned to the door. "Let's walk, this place is driving me up the wall."
Without waiting she moved forward, she added so that he would follow. "Your sister is asleep, back at the hotel."
Once they were out doors, Xiven took in the air. It was still depressing, but at least it was better than dealing with the nightmare inside that stupid coffee shop. How could anyone deal with that on a regular basis? Ugh. She turned to the bird, it was time to explain things. "Your sister is going to be asleep for a while, but she's fine. I'll help you take her home, wherever that actually is. I sent you a letter, but... did you actually get it?"
Xiven's tail swished. She was terribly anxious as she opened the door to the inn.

Imre tilted his head slightly as the feline quickly threw down her money, so eager to leave. He supposed it was a bit dreary and some of the poetry/singing was just atrocious, but he never thought much against the Torque's otherwise morose and somber mindsets... after all, he'd grown up in it.
"Alright," he replied, and did his best to keep up with the bipedal as they retreated out into the streets once more. More than once while walking he debating taking to the air, but even then he figured keeping pace with the feline would be hard. He'd just have to settle with a sort of skipping hop until they reached the Inn and could slow down.
Xiven's explanation was not entirely reassuring. Asleep.. for a while? Walking back wasn't exactly the best option either... Would Xiven really risk going into The Wood? Even then, would Vren or Parzi allow such a thing? Poe leaving for as long as she had was already enough to cause a notable stir... The bird frowned, though it was likely to go unnoticed as he hurried through the door.
"Letters don't often make it all the way to where we live, it's a bit secluded really..." He evaded the subject of exactly why (and where) this was and focused instead on the matter of his sister sleeping. "How much longer will Poe be asleep?"

"A week or so," Xiven said casually. She didn't exactly realize what she was saying as she walked into the inn and made her way up the stairs. It would have been easier if the letter had gotten to them. She wouldn't have to reexplain everything.
And Xiven wasn't about to go into Tulgey. She wasn't crazy. If there was one thing that her mother had said that had been burned into her brain, it was that Tulgey was a dangerous place where no card should travel. Of course Xiven imagined that if she really trusted someone more than life itself she would go in the Wood, but that would never be the case, would it?
"I'm sorry about the mess I've caused," Xiven said as she paused outside of the door. "I suppose I should have planned things better. If the letter had gotten to you, it would have been a lot easier. But then again I have no idea where you live."

A week or so?
She said it so nonchalantly... But people didn't technically sleep for a week or so. "Uhm, why?" He spoke with the utmost respect, of course, but also a great deal of confusion. Was Poe alright? Was she sick?
He stopped at the door in front of Xiven, his brows slightly furrowed in uncertainty. This was all going... not swimmingly.
The crow frowned and pressed his beak more firmly shut, looking around. She was offering to help get Poe home, was it because Poe was sleeping for a week? He would let her sleep, if that were the case, but... "The mess? Could you... please explain, Your Majesty?" He shuffled his foot, looking at the door and then down the hall and then back up at Xiven. "A very ... out of the way place, really... It'd be quite troublesome to get there on foot, or with a burden..." He frowned. Had something gone wrong?

"Medication," She said with a slight cough. More like poison, but he didn't need to know about that. After all, no one could prove it. She was just going to wake up refreshed. No harm done.
"Mess. You know. Not being able to contact you despite sending you letters. That's all I mean," she said as she unlocked the door, motioning for him to hop in. Once he was in the room she slipped in behind him, clicking the door shut.
"If you're too out of the way I suppose I could send someone to help you. I have to get back from my extended vacation.... since this didn't go as smoothly as I would have hoped." She said gesturing towards his sister, who was laying on the bed in her new bindings, her old ones were simply the cuffs around her legs and a bit of the fishing wire still dangling from them.
