Menefer couldn't help but laugh at the cards joke. If he hadn't been holding something in his hands then he would have hit the ground laughing. He stoped when he noticed that it might have made the other feline a bit more depressed. It wasn't his fault that he was more happy than most other Torques. He smiled and patted the highlander on the back.
"Your good people, and no, zist cabbage won't be boiled, that would be just too easy to do. Instead it will be pilled and sliced to smaller pices steeped in a deep pot with added flavors that will make the cabbage something to remeber all your life." he said rasing a cabbage into the air slightly. And then he smiled.
"Ze know Mis, Iz wouldn't mind either if ze would wish to join in this nice dining delight. I would be my pleaseure to serve ze two of ye." he said now that he had more people to feed. And the food was bought pretty cheaply by the two, so it wouldn't hurt to return the favor. He motioned for them to follow back to the hotel that he was staying at so that he could start the feast.

Eldy's fur rose up in irritation at being openly mocked. Her tail thrashed angrily, fluffed up to twice its normal size, but she tried to keep her voice steady as she replied. "Well, to be perfectly honest, it's not anything to be proud of either way, but as long as this other crazy cat was thanking someone, it shoudl be the right person." She frowned, flushing slightly in embaressment, though it was luckily hidden by her dark fur. "Besides, I know it wasn't a good thing, but one should always take responsibility for one's actions." Now...she was trying to play the noble card. She doubted he'd fall for it, but there was no harm in trying.
"Who says I was stalking you?" Had she really been that...obvious? Either she was losing her touch or the freaky big ears this other guy had were to blame. She decided to believe the latter for her own sanity. She turned towards the other feline, frowning slightly, fur flattening to its normal fluffiness as she considered his offer.
He was an odd one. She'd never seen a Torque so...rediculously happy for no reason before. And she'd met some pretty unusual Torques, notably her mother and sister. Her first inclination was to refuse the offer, but perhaps it would do her some good. That was, if she had even interpreted his words correctly. He had a very odd accent, too. You found all types in the Capital...
Eldy shrugged, finally. "Eh, what the hell. I'll come to dinner as long as you're offering." Though cabbage was not her favorite by any means, it sounded like the other feline was going to make it more special in some way. If she didn't like it, she could always leave.

Oh goodness, this feline girl was the epitome of drama. She had an issue with everything, and an excuse for every action she took. Aleah swore up and down to himself he'd avoid Torquehelm Does and Leverets when he became a Jack. Surely they couldn't be as bad as this card, but he didn't care to take the chance.
"Who says? I says! Silly cat you are, asking the obvious questions.."
Now, the larger and deeper voiced cat.. obviously male.. He seemed an amiable enough card if only because he was willing to feed complete and total strangers. Were all cards this.. charming? Well, no. They weren't. The female was an obvious case. Perhaps the females of the card society were merely just as inept as the Does of rabbit society? If that were the case, he didn't see the logic in treating them equally at all. If that girl had a Jack of her own, she'd have gotten jerked up by that chain ball of hers a long time ago.
Ah, but food. Aleah licked his chops reflexively. What the man was talking about surely sounded appealing. "Verreh well then. I's reckon I'd be in the mood for a bit to eat."

Menefer smiled at the two, these would be his very first real costumers that he would have. Even though he wasn't asking for money, which didn't bother the feline at all. He started to walk and talked about some of the foods that he would prepare for them and the appitisers that he had already made up. Some leftovers from this mornings breakfast. He smiled and wondred at the highlanders breed. It was really important to know what he was, if he was to feed him the correct food. Like you couldn't feed a deer meat, nor could you feed a avian bird meat. He even smiled at the concept. WOuldn't that just make everyone canabals?
He moved up to the hotel that he had rented. It was a nice establishment that allowed him to use their kitchens and items, even though he liked to use his own pots and pans and cooking wear. He smiled to them and introduced them inside telling them of the place and how it came to be. A little walkthrough before the meal.
He showed the two to a table and went inside to start preparing food, then realizing that he had compleatly forgotten when he came out with some fresh bread sticks and tea did he remember to ask the gentalmen his breed. For he was a strange one at that.
"Would ze mind if I ask a rather important questionz?" he asked as he set the table before them, lighting the one candle stick in the middle to sheed some light on the table. THe bread was spiced with several herbs and had some peperjack cheeze lightly spread over the top to be backed on evenly. It smeeled as good as it looked. "Iz had a hard time placing what breed ye are. Though... if you don't mind not telling den you could place an order." he said with a smile as he took out a pen and a pice of parchment. He even pointed the pen at the other feline. "And by de way, I'm Menefer, and ze two are?" he asked with a borad smile happy that he finaly had someone to rate his food.

Eldyria narrowed her eyes at the very rude Card. He also seemed to really not know what he was talking about half the time, but he was one of those people that liked to take everything she said and throw it back in her face! Ohhh but that was annoying.
"Just because you say something doesn't make it the truth," she protested lamely, trying not to look sulky as she followed the other cat back to the inn he was staying at. He apparently liked to talk about really boring stuff, like most people older than her, so Eldy effortlessly tuned him out as they walked, instead taking in their surroundings. Ah yes, she knew where they were...she'd passed this building before on her various supply gathering expeditions earlier that week.
She sat down at the table, sniffing the air slightly, whiskers twitching as she smelled something good. Huh, maybe this WOULD be worthwhile. She spent some time studying the carpet, not really having anything to say to the rude man sitting at the table with her, but looekd up again, ears perked, when the cat walked back out.
What breed WAS the other man? Eldy didn't really know, as he was still wearing the rediculous looking hat. She listened carefully for his answer, though tried to act like she didn't really care.
"I'm Eldryia," she introduced herself when he asked, returning his smile with a polite, but not very cheery, one of her own. She had accepted his offer of free food, but that didn't mean he was any less weird.

Despite the rudeness of the impudent young female, he merely grinned and winked his eyes. "Doesn't make it a lie, either."
The inn was a comfy enough setup. He'd left his cart with the inn security and trusted his things would be safe. There was nothing incriminating or terribly expensive in the cart so there was no harm in it. This would mean he'd get back to the warren a bit later than expected, but that wasn't a rare occurrence since a rabbit often had to leave in the dead of night so as not to be seen. He wouldn't have to head back for hours yet, and most of his shopping was already done.
Once again, his breed came up in conversation. He responded quickly, well reversed. "A mutt like any other, fer shurr. Me maddie was an odd mix of goat an' chipmunk. Left me with a tarrble, tarrble affliction of ugly, far shurr! Dun know what me daddeh was." He laughed loudly, as if this were some hilarious occurrence. He was keeping up the front of being an active individual, but under the shadow of his hat, his eyes were growing more and more bloodshot, the bags under his eyes darkening. He hadn't slept in three days. He's certainly look forward to getting back to the warren and receiving his sleeping tonic.
Even though the female cat wanted nothing to do with him, he acted quite amicably toward her. He liked getting on her nerves, he decided. "Name's Al. Good to meetcher!" He extended his paws, blades clinking against one another. Obviously it was meant to be a joke. No one would want to shake that bladed hand. Laughing once again, he put the dangerous hand back at his side. "Lighten up, lassie! You've had an issue wif me since you fell over all dem cabbages. Honestly, it woulda been in good form to pay for those cabbages you soiled."

Now that he knew what the cards breed was... or the cauldron of it all, did he return to the kitchen to start to cook for the three of them. He would start with the cabbages first cutting them in longer pices and the into smaller pices. He then added it to the steaming water that was on the stove to where he had plans for the greens. Once their did he start on the meats.
He had several that he could chose from, though he selected fish and beef, two of his most liked food products. He smiled as he cleaned the fish and tossed the biproducts away into the garbage and then placed the fish in a pan adding a layer of sause and green beans over the top of them. For good mesure he added a few spices that would bring out the trouts flavors in a good way.
He moved to the beef that was waiting, it was the backstrap witch was a good thing, for it wasn't too lean or fatty. Only the best would be served from his kitchen. He started to cut it thin into waffers that would cook fast as the fish would be done soon as well. For this though he needed to stir fry them so as to make a delishious meal out of it.
While doing that did he check on the cooking cabbage and found that it had almost steeped to the bottom, with little water left, though it was still moist. He added a few herbs to the mix and stired it a good bit with his left hand and with his right he stired the pan so as the beef wouldn't stick.
Once all the cooking was done and the fish as well, made the cat a bit hungry himself. He added the stir fryed beef with the cabbage in equal portions and then pulled out the fish and green beans. Which he placed next to the other. It all looked soo good. He couldn't help but feel happy and loved that he had done such a wonderful job.
He brought out the food to the awaiting people and placed the covered plates on the table, before the two. He removed the lids so the aromas would wave over their seinces. It was a wonderful trick he had learned.
"Good eating to ze two." he said as he placed his own plate on the table uncovering it as well taking in the smells and sights. He had really outdone himself and couldn't help but smiling from ear to ear.

Eldy's eyebrows went up as the other man described his breed. "Huh. Well that's an odd combination," she commented; she didn't generally care if she offended people. Besides he had just called himself ugly, which despite his oddness she had to disagree with. Of course, she had always had a soft spot for Highland coloring, like her father had posessed. "Your Dad musta been something with really long ears," she giggled slightly, poking softly at one of the ear tips that draped below his hat.
Her ears went back a bit as 'Al' adressed her. "I don't have an issue with YOU, I have an issue with your rudeness," she replied a bit snootily, not realizing just how much of a case of pot calling the kettle black this was. "And Menny paid for those already." She had no idea what the other feline really liked to go by, or if he even had a nickname, but that seemed to do for now.
Her whiskers perked forward and her tail twitched as she smelled FISH! Oh now that was worth it. As the dish was laid before her, she inhaled contentedly, relaxing a bit. She could put up with the weird accents and the just plain weirdness of the other two if it meant she could eat such a lovely smelling meal.
"Thank you," she replied to Menefer, already preparing to dig in.

Aleah merely giggled at her antics. She was so easily riled up. She'd probably be a leveret in rabbit society. That was the only time he could imagine anything gendered female to be so coarse and unmanageable. She certainly made his sister seem like quite the lady! It probably pissed her off so terribly that she couldn't get under his skin. It was probably because it really wasn't -his- skin. It was the skin of the card that he portrayed. Ignoring her snotty comments, he merely grinned and laughed. "Yus. Tarrble, Tarrble affliction, you know. Me mammy would tell me a story of how a Midori witch took me pappy by the ears and pulled them out till they reached his feet! Anna when they stretched back they never quite reached they reg'lar size. Nev' told me what he was though. Odd, innit?"
Aleah completely lost interest in his lie when the food was sat in front of him. "Ah! By me granpappy beard! Best smellin' an lookin' food since I was a wee thing!" All card play aside, the stuff truly smelled divine. He was starving, and hadn't dared use any of the Czar's money for his own personal food. Without hesitation he had shoved a huge forkful of the cabbage into his mouth. When he realized not everyone had started eating when he had, he grunted behind his mouthful. "Wha? Canno' blame a starvin' homeless man for no manners.." By the White Rabbit's fuzzy toes, it was delicious. Rabbits were not much for meat, but it was the perfect accent of meat with vegetable to be quite a treat for the leveret.

Menefer smiled largely, as the cat and the... thing? had complimented on his food. He was soo pleased that they were so happy with his cooking that he smiled and grabbed a fork of his own to start pilling food together.
"Oh thank ze for wanting to eat, can ye belive that zu two are ze only ones that has ever ate my food?" he said with a smile and started in on his as well.
After about half way through his own plate did he stop looking around. "Ahh don't fill yourselves too much... their is still desert." he said with a smile snagging up a pice of fish that was left on the plate still and popped it into his mouth, the feeling of love for the two was great within himself. These two loved his food so he loved them back just in turn... that was an odd way to think of it, no?
He just smiled as he started to eat again.
