The feline drooped as she listened to them. They made her feel a bit better that was for sure. She sniffed and wiped some of her tears away. Everything was going to be fine. They both supported her and Seth was even offering to go with her. That way she wouldn't be alone when her parents exploded.
And she was pretty sure at least one of them was going to have some sort of panic attack when she mentioned it. "Thank you," said said as cheerily as she could muster. After bursting into tears any thing she said would sound like a disaster. Xiven choked back a sigh.
"Thank you very much. I'll have to take you up on that offer to be with me while I talk to my parents... I just can't do it alone." Her claws dug into her fur for a brief moment. "I just... I wish I could tell Rhi at the very least."

Heilyn wasn't so much worried about the interaction with Peaches as she was Xiven facing Pravus. Even if Seth was a Queen, the presence of a Spade would likely provoke Pravus further to Suits know what. She stroked the girl behind the ear.
"If you'd like, I could go with you when you tell Pravus," she offered. Like hell was she going to leave the potential destruction of her grandchildren to that maniac. As much craziness as more children entered her life, she couldn't help but feel warm and fuzzy at the thought of her family line continuing down such a fantastic route. There was no way that children of Rhiannon and Xiven could be anything less than marvelous. They were both strong and healthy and of relatively decent pedigree (she wasn't so sure about being a sister-in-law to Pravus and for those poor children to be inheriting anything from him, but no family was really perfect).

Seth could only nod in reply to Heilyn. He would have liked to be the manly man who accompanied Xiven when she went to confront her father about her pregnancy, but all the bat knew about the man was that he was, for all intents and purposes, completely mad. Heilyn had at least met him once before, so she had that advantage to fall back on. "We'll... see if we can't get some kind of message to her, at the very least.[/b]" he said in what he hoped was a soothing tone. The bat had no idea if he could do that, but he could try. Especially if it made his new "daughter" more comfortable.
Hell, it would likely make him feel more comfortable. Even if they didn't receive a reply from Rhiannon, it would make him feel better knowing he'd at least attempted to contact her.
Of course, he wouldn't be leaving either Heilyn or Xiven when it came time to speak to Pravus. He was a professional bodyguard, and that meant that if there was a situation that had even the slightest chance of danger, he would be at their side. As a member of the family now, Xiven fell very much under his umbrella of protection. "When would you like to speak with your parents?[/b]" he asked in a surprisingly gentle tone when one considered the bulk of the man speaking. "I can get you something for lunch before we go, if that'd make you feel any better.[/b]"

She took a deep breath. She felt so much better now. If it weren't for their words of comfort she didn't know what would have happened to her in this entire mess. "Thank you." She said to Heilyn first. "I don't think my father would appreciate Seth...."
Then again her dad was a socially retarded nutcase. This shouldn't be that much of a surprise to any of them. "And I do hope you can get into contact with her. I don't want her to come back and suddenly find out that I'm pregnant. I don't think it would go over very well."
She nodded to Seth's suggestion, coughing a bit. Crying was such a hassle she really needed to do less of it. "Lunch is a fantastic idea." She said wiping away the remaining tears with her paw. She wasn't hungry but it meant she didn't have to face her parents quite so soon.

She nodded in agreement with Seth. It greatly disturbed her that she had no contact with her daughter and would've attempted to even if Xiven didn't want to.
"Seth, I think it would be best if you did not come along for the talk with Pravus," she stated fairly bluntly. She had explained to the man before that Pravus was one of the people to avoid and to never go anywhere alone with the psychopath. Even with Xiven there, Heilyn did not like the thought of it. She stood up.
"Where shall we go for lunch? Did we want to harass the kitchen staff, or did we want to leave the Court grounds for some time?" Personally, Heilyn was hankering for some fried cricket, just like Uncle used to make back home, but she would have a bit of a difficult time finding someone to make it for her, and getting Seth not to vomit while she chowed down. And Heilyn new all too well the stomach capacity of a pregnant woman and how very little acceptance there was on the outside for Bog cuisine. Xiven probably wouldn't appreciate the dish, either. Damned Outsiders.

Seth let out a soft and grumbling sigh when Heilyn addressed him directly, staring down at the ground. He folded his arms across his chest, looking up at Heilyn with an expression that said that he would let them speak to Pravus without him, but that he wouldn't like doing it one bit. The man was a psycopath, sure, fine, whatever. In the bat's mind, that was even more reason to accompany his lover and his... daughter-in-law? when they went to tell him he was going to be a grandfather.
But now wasn't the time to make a big deal of things. Heilyn was capable, and Xiven was a Queen - they would almost certainly take care of themselves. It just hurt Seth's man-pride to admit it.
The shift to a discussion of food was a welcome one, and he gave Xiven the nicest smile he could manage, even clapping her shoulder softly with an open hand. "Whatever you want, Xiven.[/b]" he offered. "And I'll treat. So if you wanna go out of the palace, don't worry about cost or anything like that. It's the least I could do.[/b]"
Damnit, where was his daughter? She should be here, she should be holding her Queen and lover and taking her out for food and helping her moodswings. If he didn't know that Rhiannon was also pregnant, he would likely be quite upset with her.

Xiven took a deep breath before she even attempted to speak. She needed to think before she decided anything. Getting away from the Courts would probably be the best thing to do. She didn't want to run into her mother just yet. And with her mom who often pulled a magic act of appearing and disappearing she wasn't going to take chances.
"Out would be great." She said look at both of them with a sad smile painted on her face. This really was supposed to be good news, but it was just horribly foreboding. Children. It was something that had never expected this early in her life.
Actually she never expected it period. She just didn't seem the type to have children...of all things. How could she be a mother? Was she going to be as bad as her own mother when it came to that....
"Preferably someplace that my mother wouldn't dream of going to." She added. Otherwise she wasn't picky.

Heilyn wasn't quite sure where a place like that would be. Peaches could be anywhere at any given time. However, she didn't want to stress the poor girl out more than she was. Emotional instability due to pregnancy really couldn't be helped and was no fun at all.
"Well... I know a small cafe in the Capitol that specializes in Midrange noodle soups and dumplings..." The owner was half Highlander, half Midrange, which explained why the place was in the Highlands. "Did you want to try there?" Heilyn knew the girl liked spicy foods and dumpling-like items. Perhaps this would be a hit?
Heilyn was less than happy with Rhi. True, the girl herself was pregnant and two moodswingy pregnant women together probably was not the best of things that should be put in a room together, but she still should be here with her Queen...

The man wrapped his arm fully around Xiven's shoulder, rocking her slightly against him and giving her another small smile. "Oh, is that the place with the really dumpy-looking exterior?[/b]" he asked, glancing up at Heilyn with a raised eyebrow, smirking slightly to himself as he did. Then he looked back to his new-found daughter-in... law? "That place was great. I'm not much of one for meat and I loved it.[/b]" he was being completely honest, too.
A trip to the outer edges of the Highlands would also be quite nice. It would do wonders for the girl to get out of the Court of Hearts at least for a few hours - away from responsibilities and family obligations that might otherwise pin her down. That wasn't even taking into consideration the fact that the further away she was from her mother, the more openly she could discuss what was going on.
"If it sounds good to you, I'll arrange for transportation.[/b]" Seth said with another reassuring smile at Xiven.

"That sounds like a good idea," Xiven said quietly with a sigh. She hoped that the ride wouldn't make her sick or anything. This pregnancy thing wasn't fun when it came to doing normal things. She couldn't even ride a horse if she really wanted to.
"Great idea, actually. Thank you very much," she said straightening up. She wasn't going to act like a depressed little kid, damnit. She could get through this. Hopefully Rhi would be back before the children were born.
Oh suits. What would happen if she didn't come back until after the fact? Xiven's ears drooped at the thought. She looked to Heilyn and Seth, giving them the best smile she could muster. This was a giant painful mess, at least they were there for support. Her mother wouldn't have been useful... Papa would be furious.
No. No. She had to stay positive!
