When her face lit up like it did a grin fixed it's self on his muzzle ... but it wasn't entirely because she was so pleased about the idea. Oh no, he saw the look the mustelid was giving him in his peripheral vision and it pleased him greatly to know that he'd ticked the insolent little pet off. It pleased him enough that he didn't let the grass kicking and such get on his nerves... if that was the best 'revenge' the Ace could get... then he had nothing to worry about. Really ... what sort of 'pay back' could the critter hope to attain anyhow? Pfft, Aces.
I'll make sure to look you up when I get the dye. Farewell, Lady Dierdre.

After he'd gotten done sulking over his new mutations he'd taken a trip to the Marsh to make good on his word... and to get a little pleasure from the Ace's misery. It was petty, yes ... but it would make him feel better about things. Surprisingly enough... his parents hadn't thought the new limbs and sticky paws were anything short of amazing. It was... horribly confusing, but his parents had always been a little odd to him. Whatever, he'd gotten the dye.
But things had happened while he was on his 'vacation' ... the biggest, of course, was the changing of the Queens and how... utterly empty the palace seemed to be. He'd gotten some info from a few lingering servants and had taken this as a sign that other things needed to change. Which of course had prompted his mind to go into thinking about what would be best for the court... and more level heads to counter the present Queen's state was .... and his rank had simply changed .... on it's own.
He hadn't had a chance to go and 'make it official', which he was wandering the halls to try and find out who to talk to about that, when he spotted a familiar mix of highland colors and hair a definite Marsh green.
Dierdre?
