As they walked, the woman did her best to keep up with the endless stream of chatter, a small grin appearing on her face. It seemed that no matter what the case, children were always children, and it was with a little sadness that she realized that Nova reminded her of the things she liked about her Jak. But... she couldn't let herself think about that now. The depression it would cause would be crippling if she let it take over.
Instead, she lost herself in the child's babble, grinning and nodding encouraginly as he spoke, trying her hardest not to laugh when he tangled himself up in his huge feet.
When they finally arrived, she looked around with a smiling expression. It really was a lovely garden... If she hadn't lived in the Court, she would have very much enjoyed having a house like this of her own. The myriad aray of flowers was a delight to look at, even in the fading light of sunset, and she was happy that the boy had slowed his pace to allow her a closer look at them. The roses... they were indeed lovely, and she wondered if she could obtain a clipping of one of the Court's roses to send home with the boy. She was sure his mother would appreciate it.
Rhiannon looked up when Nova knocked on the door, not quite sure what she was expecting. The worried-looking rat-hybrid certainly wasn't it. At his question, she glanced at the canine, raising an eyebrow slightly. A troublemaker, huh? She couldn't say that she didn't expect to hear that.
"Oh no, it's nothing of the sort.[/b]" she replied easily, her tail wagging as she offered the man a smile. "In fact, I met him earlier in the day and we've had quite the time on the town together. He told me about your roses and I wanted very much to see them for myself. They are indeed lovely.[/b]"
She shifted, her head tilting to the side as she caught sight of another child. A brother, then? Full Lowlander... She suppressed a shudder. Old habits were hard to beat, after all. "Anyway, I had told him that he could return to the Heart Court with me if it was alright with his parents. I'd like to show him the rose garden there.[/b]"
