Dre leaned happily against the man, obviously very well pleased about life now that he was there. She pulled him over to where she'd left 'her' plate of brownies and offered him one with a soft keening sound.
Drostan slunk angrily into the room and stuck himself just by the door. He wasn't pleased about this turn of events.
"Soon," Dre answered Kieran's question with a bright, even happier smile. She tilted her head to look up at the man through her lashes, pleasure in her gaze. "We'll be married very soon."
She turned to send a concerned gaze towards Treasa, and an apologetic look towards Rhiannon. Knowing already how shy and timid the girl was, Dre felt pretty bad that Ignatius had inadvertently frightened her so badly. She would reach out to the girl, but she was afraid that it wouldn't help just yet.

Rhiannon bowed her head in return to the man, smiling. For all that he had frightened her daughter, Rhiannon found very little about him to be intimidating - but then Treasa tended to frighten far too easily. She gently nudged at her daughter, hoping to give her a little bit of courage, and the girl shifted, golden eyes moving from Ignatius to the Ace that was busily slinking into the room and trying to go unnoticed. Once she saw that he wasn't injured, she relaxed slightly, her tears no longer flowing freely.
"I am Rhiannon,[/b]" the adult offered, nodding her head to the man and wagging her tail in greeting. "The nosy one is Kieran, and I believe you've already met Treasa.[/b]" she said in a good-natured sort of way, grinning slightly. "And I congratulate you on your good news. When will the wedding be?[/b]"
"That's cool," Kieran said, purring a little louder. "I like it when Hearts and Clubs can be friends. Did you know my mother's brother is a Club? He's a Jack like me. He bought Sa a toy, too." the boy's tail wagged absently as he turned his attention back to the big man.
Treasa crept out from under her mother's wing slowly, peering at everyone in the room and finally pausing, her attention on Dierdre. "C-can I have a b-brownie, t-too?" she asked, voice still stuffy from her crying.

At her handing him a brownie he gave a thankful and fond nuzzle to her ear. He took a bite and finished chewing before continuing, "It is a pleasure to meet you Rhiannon, Kieran and Treasa." He replied with a nod to each.
For the reply to the wedding question he left that to Dre to answer. All of the planning and information was left to her, since she seemed to know exactly what she wanted, with him putting his input when asked for it.
He took a liking to the boy. "Is that so?" He replied. He actually found that a little interesting. It was not too often that anyone came across a Heart who was okay with admitting in any manner that a Club had come from a breeding. Not that it was completely unheard of with the two Courts being aligned and at peace with one another.

Dre smiled at Kieran, noting with interest, "Levi should meet your family; he's very fond of Clubs." This was, really, a bit of an understatement. Surprisingly or not, the little Heart was quickly becoming obsessed with Clubs.
When Treasa came over, Dierdre sent her a very bright, encouraging the girl as well as she could. "Of course you can, dear," the hawk mix replied immediately, picking up a particularly moist piece and carefully passing it onto the girl. "Oh, Treasa, do you mind bring a piece to Drostan as well?" It would be a trifle difficult for her to carry both pieces, but Dre picked up the plate and offered it to the girl to carry instead.
The Ace perked up his ears slightly as he shamelessly eavesdropped on the conversation; gads, what else could he do? Nobody actually cared for his input.

"My father is a Spade,[/b]" Rhiannon said, by way of explanation. While all of her children were Hearts, and none of them below an 8, her parents had ended up with quite the mixed bag, as it were. "I have another sister who was born a King of Clubs, actually, but she's only a year older than Sa and Kieran.[/b]" Her parents were astoundingly prolific when it came to reproduction, and if it weren't for the fact that her mother had decided to have surgery to prevent it, she wouldn't be entirely surprised to have even more siblings a few years down the road.
"Actually, you might know of my brother,[/b]" Rhiannon said with a rather thoughtful expression, turning to the bull-hybrid for the moment. "His name is Hadrian... The last time I saw him, I'd heard that he was going to offer his services to the Court.[/b]" She secretly hoped the man did know her brother and could give her some clue as to how he was doing.
Kieran's intrest was captured by this piece of information and he wagged his tail slightly. "Levi? Who's that?" He hadn't been in the court for a long time by any stretch of the imagination and this was his first real attempt at any kind of socialization. The prospect of meeting a new person was a very interesting one for the boy. "Would he be interested in meeting me even though I'm not a Club?"
The little girl was torn for a moment between taking the brownie and the plate, and then the kind woman was thoughtful enough to put them both together. She carefully took it, carrying it to the Ace and laying it down in front of him, sliding her brownie towards her. "N-now we c-can b-both have o-one..." she said quietly, smiling her small smile. "M-maybe we c-can p-play later?"

He was still impressed that a Heart would risk a breeding with any black suit. At her mentioning of her brother he tilted his head to the side as he tried to recall if he knew the name.
"I am pretty sure that he is a titled Jack now. I do not personally know all that much about him" He gave a small one shoulder shrug. "but from what I know he seems to be holding his own pretty strongly over there." Having spent more time working at the Heart Court his knowledge of his own Court was sadly not necessarily up to date.
When Dre handed Treasa the brownies he tried his best not to seem scary her. Though he did not particularly care, it had not been his goal before to scare her since she was so shy, but he figured it was currently for the best if he did not do so again so soon.

Dre tilted her head as she smiled down towards Kieran; she was really enjoying this little excursion. She'd gotten to meet a perfectly lovely family and was hopefully becoming friends with them all. "I'm sure he would," she said in answer to the boy's question. "Levi and Sid are my uncles and they are both just about your age. I'm sure they would love to make friends with you."
Drostan peered at the girl with a lot more welcome than he usually would have. Of course, she brought brownies with her, and that always made things better. Especially if Perli really had made them; the pine marten Heart who worked in the kitchen was an absolute genius at baking.
"Thanks," he said gruffly, grabbing his brownies with forepaws and pulling back up on his hindquarters to eat it, rather like a squirrel would. He didn't answer the play later comment; he doubted they'd end up having time now that Iggy was here, but there was always a chance.

Kieran peered up at the woman, ears perked curiously. "Do you think... I could meet him?" the boy said, trying to keep the excitement out of his voice. He loved making new friends - a lifetime spent in a cramped apartment with only his parents and siblings for company had the opposite effect on him than it'd had on his timid sister. He wanted to fill his life with as much experience as he could before he grew. "Maybe today, even? After we finish eating brownies?"
Rhiannon chuckled slightly at her child and shook her head, then turned her attention back to the bull-hybrid. So he had managed to get himself a title - she could feel the pride beginning to blossom inside of her, filling her with joy. "Has he, now?[/b]" she said softly, grinning widely as she looked down to watch as Treasa approached the Ace. "I am very much glad to hear that. I'm not surprised to hear that he's doing well, though. He's always been... fairly personable.[/b]"
The woman's ears flicked back slightly. "...I'm not keeping you from anything, am I?[/b]" she asked, voice sounding slightly wary.
Treasa munched thoughtfully on her brownie, eyes glancing once more to the King of Clubs, looking a little bit curious as she did. "Y-you're welcome..." she said softly, licking the chocolate from off of her lips and her paws. Her gaze slowly trailed over to Dre's wings and paused there - if she was able to move her own, she would have. "S-she's g-got reall p-pretty wings.." she whispered softly, expression almost... longing.

He gave her a small, quick smile, shaking his head 'no'. It did not appear that Dre was interested in doing anything else so he was pretty sure it was a safe bet they would be hanging around for a while. "No, no worries." He replied easily, glancing toward Dre from the corner of his eye. Dre was here and that was all that he needed to be content for a while.
Catching the last part of his fiancee's conversation with the strange little kid, he pondered over the fact that Sid and Levi, being so much younger than her, were her uncles. Though it was not the strangest of facts to accept, even with all of the time that he had spent around their family it still amused him to see all of the different levels of crazy they reached. Though luckily enough for them not all of them were bad.

Dre gave a soft chuckle, the sound fading away to smile a the boy with genuine pleasure. "Of course, if we can manage to track them down. They're often on the run." And, of course, she meant that quite literally. Her uncles were often in trouble and just as often on the lam as they were locked up for having done something bad.
Well, not bad, per se, but they were certainly a wonderful definition of mischief and trouble wrapped up into two young packages. She only hoped they wouldn't teach Kieran to get into more trouble; Rhiannon probably wouldn't appreciate that even though she was proud of the initiative and independence the boy had shown earlier.
Drostan finished his brownie and cleaned up his paw before turning to glance towards his mistress. His movement arrested and he watched her for a long moment, as though seeing her for the first time. He remembered that, actually. The first time he saw her. His breath had caught in his throat and he'd passed out from blood loss. That feeling never went away.
