On the run? Well, this situation was quickly on the road to being far more interesting than Kieran had initially hoped it would be. "I bet that if I looked really hard, I could find them..." the boy murmured softly, his posture becoming thoughtful, tail swishing rather absently. He turned slightly, facing his mother, ears flattening. "...If that's alright with you, mama," he added as a sort of after thought. He'd already managed to slip away once today, twice would be almost too lucky.
Rhiannon considered her son for a moment, then shrugged, the movement almost carefree. "If you have Dierdre with you, I can't see any problem with it.[/b]" The words, surprisingly, carried a fair amount of weight to them, and the glance she gave the woman would only make this point more clear. She was extending a trust to the equine-hybrid, and if that trust was, in any way, betrayed...
Well. The fact that she was giving it would be proof that she didn't feel it would be.
A small plea in the back of her mind shifted her attention to a different topic, one that she knew she would have to bring up once more but had not been looking forward to. Her ears flicked back slightly, and her brow furrowed. This... was not a subject that was exactly easy to speak about with anyone. "I hear you met my Apocalypse,[/b]" she said softly, unsure of how the woman would react. The man wasn't normal, that was for sure, and she felt she needed to explain him.
The way the Ace's attention locked on the pretty lady was almost confusing to Treasa and she found herself watching the grison for a long moment. His attention to Dierdre made the girl suddenly curious - if she and the woman's pet both thought she was so pretty, she supposed that her fiance must think even more highly of her. Smiling slightly, she padded to Ignatius's side, looking up at him with wide golden eyes and whispering, "Mr, d-do you t-think miss D-D-Dre is p-pretty?"

He was silently watching and listening to the conversation between Rhiannon and Dre. He was not sure how he felt about the idea of being left here alone should she go with the boy to find her uncles. While he was more than sure that he would be able to take care of himself he was not much of a people person.
Movement at the corner of his eye brought his attention to the little girl who seemed to stand somewhat hesitantly at his side. Something told him that any sudden movement would cause the girl to run away.
She wanted to know if he thought Dre pretty? What kind of question was that? He glanced toward his fiancee for a moment before turning his attention toward the girl. "Of course I think she is pretty. There is no one who is more pretty than her." His tone showed that he was honest in his opinion of her.

It wasn't until the King's warning words that Dre realized that this was, evidently, a hefty responsibility. With most others she would have been insulted, but here the woman's worry was still touching. She saluted suddenly, face serious towards Rhiannon, with a brief, mischievous side wink to Kieran. "Yes, mi capitan!" she answered in a militaristic tone. "Any other orders, General?" Though the words were joking, she was actually serious. She didn't want to, like, miss the boy's medication if he had any or something of equal importance.
At the next question, however, the woman grew-- perhaps oddly-- still. Yes, as a matter of fact, I did." And that's all she had to say on the matter just yet.
Drostan was dissed, yet again, for a "real" Card. Pfeh. Whatever. The Ace leaned back against the wall and inspected his mistress with a critical eye, wondering, once more, what would have had happened had circumstances fallen out differently. What if her Clan hadn't been on their travelling tour? What if she hadn't come by? What if. . . What if he'd never been born. . .
At least then his family would still be alive.
Drostan closed his eyes and thumped his head backwards against the wall. It wasn't worth remembering. But it still hurt.

Rhiannon grinned toothily at the other woman, resisting the urge to chuckle only to provide additional amusement value to her son, who was already beginning to squirm with delight. She sat bolt upright, assuming a militaristic posture and turning flashing yellow eyes to the hybrid woman. "The target is not to remove his mask.[/b]" she replied with a small nod, glancing at her son for a moment. Her posture relaxed slightly as she gave up the facade in favor of explanation. "He's part Bog, he can't breathe without it.[/b]"
Kieran was silent at his mother's explanation, his tail flicking slightly. He didn't say anything, deciding it was best not to argue it. He knew that there was something about his face that was different, but he wasn't exactly sure what it was, and he would be asking his mother about it in private.
Dierdre's sudden stillness was, perhaps, not the sign Rhiannon was hoping for. It definitely told her that the other King had met the Weapon... "Then I feel I must explain some things to you,[/b]" she said, bringing her paws to the suit marking on her chest. In her mind, she could feel Apocalypse sigh as he came forth, bladed edge glistening in the soft light of the room. She lay the weapon in front of her, glancing up at the other two Kings currently sitting in the room. The weapon, for now, was content to lounge in his natural form.
"He is my constant companion, my ally.[/b]" Rhiannon said softly, smiling and slowly running one paw across the flat of the blade of the weapon. "But it could be said that he has quite a lot to learn about what it is to be alive.[/b]"
At the bull-hybrid's reply, Treasa nodded slightly, her eyes still wide as she looked back at Dierdre. With that glowing responce and Drostan's earlier expression, which had spoken novels, she had all the answer she needed. "S-she's l-lucky t-to have you b-both." the girl said with a small nod. "P-people should have f-friends who l-like them as they a-are." Like her brothers liked her, even when she was so painfully shy.

Tearing his glance away from Dre he looked back down at the small girl. "Indeed she is." He debated for a long moment, trying to decide what to do now. Finally he decided to play along, though he distinctly told himself he was no really interested. "Do you have any friends?" He asked her.
While waiting for the child's reply he listened in on the conversation going on between Dre and Rhiannon, wondering what was going on. There was a silent tension and many unspoken words.
When she called forth the weapon Iggy stilled. It was a beautiful weapon, the edges of its blade gleaming with a deadly shine. He could only marvel at the obvious craftsmanship that had gone into it. But what was she going on about, wanting it to live? Surely she was just referring to her emotional connection to the weapon.

Dre gave one more playful salute, then glanced towards Kieran curiously. Well, the Bog certainly explained the mask, and it made it vital that the mask not come off. She could handle that, assuming, of course, that Levi didn't accidentally set something on fire, as he was wont to do.
A summoned weapon was not so unusual, though the form was a bit of a surprise for having met Rhiannon. Less surprising in regards to her discussion with Pale, however. She did not draw out her own weapon, though realizing exactly who and what Apocalypse was made her wonder exactly who and what her glaive could become.
"Hardly surprising," she offered with a small smile. Though she had heard rumours that Marie had done just fine. Perhaps she had been rather awkward when she had first been 'born'.
Drostan sat against the wall and tried to just not think for a little bit. He wasn't bleeding and he certainly wasn't dead. That was just going to have to be enough for this moment.

The boy, try as he might to behave and be patient, was becoming rather antsy. He was greatly looking forward to an opportunity to meet anyone, let alone some of Dierdre's family, and he didn't quite understand his mother's urgency to explain Apocalypse to the other Kings. Pale was weird. That was a given, he was Rhiannon's summon and in a way, a part of her own psyche - it only made sense he'd be weird! But he was also funny and he told Kieran things that his mother never would, so the boy didn't see what was bad about him.
His ears flicked back, standing at more rigid angles against his head, a clear sign of his impatience. "Mama..." he said, voice soft and insistant.
Rhiannon had to laugh at her son's antics, gently setting the scythe down. She pulled her son to herself and prodding at the space between mask and ear with her leaf-shaped nose and chuckling. "Am I keeping you from all of your important court duties, Excellence?[/b]" she said in a teasing tone, smoothing the boy's golden mane back into place and releasing him. She looked back up at Dierdre, giving her a warm smile. "I appreciate this. It'll be good for him to get a chance to meet some new friends.[/b]" She glanced back to her scythe once Kieran was free, pulling it protectively to herself once more. She could feel him sigh happily at being in her arms once more and she grinned to herself.
Kieran pulled himself to his feet once more, tail twitching slightly once he was free from his mother's embarassing grasp. Did they always have to be like that? He didn't mind her affection most of the time, but they had guests! Who were Kings! "Can we go soon, then, Miss Dre?" he asked cheerfully, hope creeping into his tone once more.
The Ace was pouting pretty hard, wasn't he? Treasa had no idea what was going through his head and was far too shy to actually up and ask him, so her attention was fixed instead on Ignatius. "F-friends?" the girl echoed softly, looking thoughtful. Did she really? She didn't know very many people outside of her immediate family, after all. "I h-have t-two other b-brothers and a s-sister," she said softly. She would ignore the fact that her sister terrified her in ways she couldn't fully express. "An'... sometimes P-Pale p-plays with me... He's my f-friend, I g-guess. I d-don't know many p-people..."

Hearing what sounded to be that Dre was about to leave, his ears went back. He had no intention of being left here alone, well by alone being without her, no offense to present company. However, if she was wanting to head out by herself with just the kid in tow he was not going to intrude. Though the thought of doing such a thing regardless was very tempting.
No one else in the Court had seemed to want to talk to him as a kid, limiting his ability to tolerate their presence for extended amounts of time. Not that he had much to say to anyone.
Glancing back down at the girl he raised an eyebrow. It seemed that she was in a situation much like he had been in. It did not endear him to her, really, but it was something that he could relate to her more than before.

Dre gave a low, amused laugh at Kieran's eagerness, rising herself in response to his move towards the door. It was a nice change, really. It seemed far too many people were upset by meeting new people. Not that she really ran into people like that; she guessed it was probably her winning personality and the fact that she so obviously enjoyed meeting other people. Therefore, others automatically enjoyed meeting her. It was simple logic.
"I hope my uncles do not affect him. . . adversely," she admitted with another laugh. "Here's hoping he will be a good influence on them instead." She turned suddenly, sending her skirt rustling so she could face her fiance with a bright smile. She tilted her head at him as she squeezed her eyes at him briefly before turning her attention to Treasa. "Are you coming with us, dear?" the woman asked the girl softly.
Drostan's ears twitched at the woman's words, his eyes opening as he watched her.

Rhiannon laughed at that, grinning widely at Dre. "Honestly, I hope they can teach him a thing or two about having fun.[/b]" she said openly. The boy had never had company beyond that of his... unusual sibilings, and he had often opted to simply spend his time at his parent's sides. He'd never gotten a chance to really be a child, and she hoped that he could make up for lost time now with Dierdre's uncles. When Dre's attention turned to Treasa, Rhiannon also turned to the small girl, giving her a soft smile and nodding.
Treasa froze, her eyes going almost completely round. The room's attention had shifted to her and that was a very scary thing. The girl shrank back, bumping into Ingatius in the process and letting out a soft and terrified-sounding squeak, those golden eyes swinging up towards him. She began to shake all over. Why was everyone looking at her like that?!
Sensing his sister's terror, Kieran padded over to her side, nosing at her gently and purring. "C'mon, Sa, it'll be fun." he offered, wagging his tail once and poking her again with his nose. The girl reacted slowly at first, but she did react - she wagged her tail in reply, then looked up at Dierdre.
"I w-would love t-to c-come t-too." she said softly, leaning against her brother slightly for the added support. She even managed a small smile in the woman's general direction. Rhiannon sighed softly, the sound barely aduible, and nodded once more to her daughter. She was glad that the girl would be getting out into the world. She needed a thicker skin, needed to engage more often...
Kieran walked once more to the door, turning his masked face up at Dierdre briefly before stepping out into the hallway. "So we have no idea where they are, right?" he said rather cheerfully. "Means we'll hafta track 'em down..."
