Dre's ears flipped backwards in protest to the loud noise, but were quick to swivel back forward at the shouts. She gave a small laugh that was both amused and slightly exasperated. "I would say that was an excellent assumption," she replied to the boy with a small smile. "Shall we proceed and see if we can repair the damage they've doubtless caused?"
Drostan was silent for a moment, his ears immediately going backwards and flattening against his head. He didn't say anything for a few steps, as they paused behind the others waiting for Kieran to ascertain their next step. Finally he spoke again, his voice still flat, "In that example, it's a matter of survival." He paused to glance at the others when there was the sound of the crash, but continued anyway. "If you tick someone off by being somewhere, you might get kicked or pushed away. Probably less because of who your mother is. If I tick someone off with my existence, they can kill me."

Kieran's ears perked, the outward language of a smile no one would be able to see beneath his mask. Well. A smile no one would be able to see because it technically didn't exist, but he could fake it well enough. "That's probably a good idea, yeah." he said with an amused tone to his voice. His long tail flicked from side to side with excitment. He couldn't wait to meet the pair... The children of the Queen. How exciting would that be?
There was another smash, this time caused by a larger person, and the chef roared again, sounding even more upset. Kieran glanced up at Dierdre, laughing a little nervously. "Or maybe we should focus on getting them out alive instead?"
Either way, the boy moved forward eagerly, stepping into the kitchen without another glance back.
If Treasa'd had ears, hers would have likely done the same sort of movement. She couldn't help but wonder if she'd said or done something wrong. But then, the Ace didn't exactly seem to be the nicest sort of person so she vaguely wondered if there was really even something right to say to him in any circumstance. Her tail twitched. She didn't like thinking poorly of people.
"T-that.. that d-doesn't seem r-right to me." the girl replied, her brows furrowing slightly and tail twitching flick-flick. She wanted to tell him about her siblings, but her mother had made her promise that she wouldn't say anything about them. Not a word. "D-does Miss D-dre t-t-take good c-care of you, at l-least?"

The mouse-bull mix could not repress a snort of amusement at the kid's words and had to turn to face the wall slightly to hide his silent laughter. It was more likely that they would need to get the other people out and that Sid and Levi were perfectly fine. It always amazed him to some inner degree the amount of trouble and chaos that a small child could cause - himself included when he was younger - and the amount of unharm they could cause themselves.
When he was able to look at everyone straight faced again he turned back. "That would probably be a good idea. Why do you not lead the way?" He motioned ahead of himself and Dre for the kid to take an obvious leading position in their makeshift caravan. They might as well send the kid in as cannon folder, he seemed eager enough to take to the task.

Dre smiled at Ignatius, eyes dancing merrily then she stepped out to follow after Kieran. She tried not to wince as the yells coming from the kitchen. It sounded like her uncles were causing quite a ruckus. Drostan gave a low snort at Treasa's first statement. "Life isn't fair," said the Ace flatly. "That's one fact you can cling to for the rest of your life; it will never be fair." Their group was moving towards the clash going on in the kitchen, but the Ace hesitated for a moment. "She cares for me as one does a favoured childhood toy," he finally answered softly, then resolutely went after the group. "Move it, move it!" His hooves clattered across the stone tile floor, firey tail flared up even as the whiskered colt tried to stop in time. "I'm trying, I'm trying!" His brother complained loudly as he tried to regain his balance as well. 'Theethh! It'th not my fault the floor ith all wet!" Though, of course, it was actually both of their faults, and the soup chef was bearing down upon them with murder in his eyes.

There were horses and an angry chef barreling towards them in a clatter of hooves and a splash of soup. One of the horses seemed to be on fire. Had the chef done that?! That was certainly not what he was expecting to find, and he froze where he stood for a few terrible seconds.
But then he reacted, springing forward with golden wings splayed, a flash of color to alert the two horses to his presence. "This way!" he called before dashing back out of the kitchen, running as quickly as his splayed paws would allow.
Treasa let out a soft squeak of alarm as her brother went barrelling past, scrambling to get out of the way. In the process, she bumped into Drostan, golden eyes going wide as she then scrambled to get out of his way. "S-s-sorry!!" This was far too much activity to be going on in such a small hallway! And was that a knife-weilding chef coming after them, as well?! What on earth had her brother managed to get them into this time?!

Entering into the kitchen his eyes took in what was happening a moment before he had to prevent a collusion, done so by a quick side step and landing on his toes. Trying his hardest to hid the grin of pleasure to see all the chaos that the boys had caused he brought his hand up to cover his mouth. After most of the urge had passed he covered up his continual amusement by scratching at his chin.
Seeing as all of the boys had just run off in some unknown direction he turned to Dre. "You, ah, think it would be best if we went after them?" He asked, trying to act nonchalant. He did not want to have to deal with the chef or fix any of the damage.
If Dre thought she had to make things right though, well then, he would stand right over here by the door. Out of the way. So he could not get volunteered.

"To the gladiator!" Sid yelled when he caught the flash of gold. "Ipthum thum etht ithunt!" His cloven hooves tried to get purchase on the floor and his legs flailed as he tried to whirl and head back out of the kitchen.
Levi had no idea what his brother was going on about, but the sound of another boy calling for them to come that way was good enough for now. "Okay, okay, to the gladiator."
"We're coming!" Sid called out to their would-be saviour. "Keep going!"
They burst out into the hall and quickly flashed by the group that was there. Dre watched them go by and tried to not laugh, even though the chef looked very unhappy. "Yes, we probably should follow them."
The Ace didn't really notice the first bump, but he noticed that the crowd was still going by. The grison quickly scooted around the girl, pinning her to the wall to protect her from those darting by.

Gladiator? A flash of confusion went through Kieran but it was just as quickly forgotten in the rush of activity that overcame him. He had to activate his pain ability to keep moving as quickly as seemed to be needed and he knew that he'd feel the aching in his splayed toes... but the thrill and rush of adrenaline were enough to keep him distracted even when the ignore pain wore off.
His toes scrambled for purchase on the smooth floor as he abruptly turned a corner, dashing out of a wide door that lead to a rather secluded section of the gardens. It had seemed a lovely place to hide from responsibility, and now it seemed perfect for hiding from an angry chef. There's a flash of gold as he leaps into a bush that sits right up against the edge of the stone walls, then he's still but for his voice.
"In here!"
Treasa yelped quietly as the massive scramble of excitement exploded out of the door. Fire! Knives! Anger! And then Drostan pinned her against the wall and she yelped again, much louder now. It took her a moment to realize that the motion was intended to protect her, and once she figured out, she relaxed rather quickly, though her tail began to wag nervously. From behind the Tulgey, her little voice could be heard. "I t-think Kieran's t-t-taking them to his g-garden..."
