At his friend's sudden attack the mix frowned a little, though it was pretty apparent that he was not completely un-use to such an action. Some days with Se it seemed . . . well was a common occurrence.
"Really was that necessary? It was such a waste of a guard." It was not particularly apparent exactly who he was talking to or in what regards.
Glancing around at all of those who were standing about his gaze rested on the rat and his sputtering. Though it was extremely fun to cause others to behave in such a manner – being so stricken with confusion or fear that they were not able to properly form their words – it still was pretty annoying at times.
At the rat's mention of weird markings under his eyes, the mix tilted his head to the side in thought. "Hold up Se, I think this rat might be talking about Eir. What do you think?"

The canine/equine mixed just as suddenly stood down as the other guards stared towards their stricken comrade in gaping fear and alarm before they finally went into action to try and help put him out. Se turned to glance at his mind and then thoughtfully back at the rat.
"Eir would have eaten him." Those were certainly encouraging words. Actually, the odd, pupilless green eyes bore suddenly into the Corvie rat, giving the odd impression that the hybrid could read the man's mind. Or that he was thinking about eating the rat.
"If he's looking for that man, he probably ran into Ira."
As many in the Court knew, Ira was Rai's own personal scheduling book. And now that the mystery was solved, Se, at least, was losing interest in the situation. Even the guard's muffled whimpers of pain held nothing of note.

The pair’s nonchalance at the…death of the guard irked Accus, reasonably. He’d never watched anyone burn alive before. And certainly not with such…calm regard from said burners. Of course, Accus had never been to a court either. And if this was the way things went, he didn’t want to. Hearts, dear heavens…
”Eir would have eaten him.”
Had Accus not been covered in jet black fur, his face would have gone bloodless pale with that statement. A dizzying feeling of sickness overcame him as his eyes locked with the hybrid’s. He tugged harder on his braid, eyes wide and brow drawn tight together. By the cards, was he…
Was he reading his mind?
Accus jerked his gaze away, lips curled in a grimace.
No, no, no. He didn’t want that.
“I’m sorry, sir…sirs…the only name I was given was Shinrai,” Accus wound the little braid around his fingers,”…but I do have an appointment.” Don’t get bossy. You get bossy and you’ll be fried just like the canine.
“It means an awful lot that I show up. He said to come early. If I could meet up with this…Eir fellow, or Shinrai, or whomever it is I need to see, that would be…that would be..”
Don’t burn him.
Perhaps he could amuse them.
“…my birds do tricks, see? You could…I could show you, if you like, your…your majesties. But I would…really like my appointment.”
Please?
Accus looked away, eyes on his birds. He didn’t want to see if he was going to be turned into a second crispy Card.

The mix tilted his head to the side as he observed the rat. The creature really did not know what he was doing, did he. The two of them were majesties . . . at least not yet. No.
“For one so intent on getting to the Court you really do not seem to know what you are doing.” The canine informed the rat while tilting his head to the other side. “For one we are not ‘majesties’ and Shinrai, the person you are so intent on meeting, is the Queen of Hearts. The Queen.” He emphasized the ‘The’ to make sure that the rat would gather that he was not just ‘a’ queen.
He glanced back at his friend for a moment as he considered the options for the rat. He could let the rat have it easy and give permission for him to be taken to the meeting that he said he had and let the guards and the like take care of it from there . . . or he could let Se have at him.
Though it would probably serve the rat and his birds right, for some reason the mix was feeling a little more generous today.
Turning to face the guards he gave jerk of his head towards the rat, “We will leave it to you to take this man to his meeting with His Majesty or whatever it is that His Majesty shall want with him.” Loosing interest on the adventure otherwise he turned his attention to see what it was that Se was going to do.

Se's ears went backwards as his subconscious took care of the problem. The Corvie/Morganberry mixed creature accurately summed up his own feelings on the matter even though the yellow hybrid was unaware of the mix's inner thoughts. He could do something about this rather disrespectful rat-- after all, he should already know that Queens were the only "majesties"; as Kings, he and his mind were definitely "highnesses"-- but, overall, it really just wasn't worth the effort, especially not since he already used one of his abilities on the unfortunate guard who had insulted him so terribly.
The remaining guards gave each other uneasy glances, and the one singled out by Ignasius bowed swiftly and gestured for the Corvistowneian rat to follow him quickly; he didn't want to be next in case Se decided he really had taken more offense to the words and actions of the day.
