Morpheus always threw him off of his 'good' behavior, but he managed to bite back the 'feh' that wanted so badly to come forth as a response to the light reprimand. That child just rubbed him in all the wrong ways, always had.

The hand on his knee was nice, the later arm around the shoulders was even better until he felt a soft weight on his foot. He peered down at the little rattling and couldn't hide the upward twitch at the corner of his mouth. Damn it all if the pudgy little thing wasn't adorable. He used to be able to just pick him up with his foot at this point, but the boy, who obviously didn't have the same metabolism as the rest of his siblings, was a little too heavy for that now. He leaned forward and scooped the little one up and gave him a chin scritch before gently running his claw like fingernails over the mixed realm's spine.

He went for his coffee again and, wouldn't you know, managed to be mid-drink when the girl just happened to spout of that question. He saved a little face by not having it come out of his nose, but he did end up spitting the drink back out, some of it probably spraying onto Bones in the process, before half choking, half laughing as a response. That.... that was just the most hilarious thing he'd heard in awhile.

Morpheus simply sighed and gave his mother a rather flat, unamused look before his mouth started to twitch a little. No, damn it, he wasn't going to laugh too... not at all... ok, maybe a little snicker.

That might be a discussion better left to a later date.

Osias brought out a little handkerchief and first went about cleaning up any of the coffee he might have gotten on himself or anyone else before bringing it up and making a pass at his eyes to remove any of the goo that was there. It'd be hard to actually tell if he'd found that amusing enough for tears or not.

Sorry Bonsey, didn't mean to do that.

And just for that he gave the boy a few extra scritches in all his favorite spots, which just made Mo roll his eyes before he straightened up again.

Aaaaaanyway. I brought a surprise for you guys tonight.

He grinned before standing back up, his tail tip twitching a bit.

Bones gave a startled "Squeak!" when his Mother dribbled coffee on him.
He was nothing but startled as the liquid dribbled onto his ears, a few drops trying to eek past his eye sockets.
His little paws hurriedly whipped up and began grooming behind his ears in a chubby panic, attempting to stem them and only just managing.

Finistris left his expression on neutral, though he did squeeze his mate's shoulder to keep the amusement form showing.
"Let's just say it isn't the most civilized topic." He murmured, watching as Boston managed to slowly drag Mal back toward the main room. "Not something to be discussed in depth, but it is a derogatory term against someone who may be seen as a bit prissy."
He took another sip and leaned his face into his mate's ear and muttered.
"Someone who might be a bit like me, dear." He pulled back and pecked the Rat's cheek before ruffling Bone's head as the tiny mix leaned contentedly into his Mother's ruffles and stomach.

He looked up at his oldest son...a tad wary.
"Oh? Surprises are quite welcome, Morpheus, what have you achieved?"

Xolani's ears wiggled with unspoken questions, but seemed to get the hint that this wasn't quite the time or place to be asking about faeries and those that 'thump them. She took another sip of her coffee and watched, wide eyed as Osias cleaned himself up from his spill. Had she said something funny?

While the 'adults' might have been wary, the young Hisstor's tail gave an anxious flick as she looked in the direction of the basket, seeming quite curious about what could possibly be in it. A surprise? Not for her, probably. He hadn't even known she'd existed until just recently. Then again perhaps this was a family surprise that she could also be privy to being a part of.

"Oh, I want to see…" She admitted softly, setting her coffee down and turning about so that she could better see what was going on.

Charlie, noticing the sudden focus of attention and the notable lack of attention on him, bustled about to peer around a piece of furniture to follow the trail of gazes onto the tall weasel. Food?

Prissy? Well, he supposed that would be an adequate definition for someone who wasn't quite old enough to grasp the full crudeness of the term. He got a delightful little tingle from words being whispered into his ear and he peered over at his mate, giving him a full on grin for a brief moment before turning his attention to the hallway after hearing an odd noise, and shook his head a bit.

Already Boston has learned that if he managed to get to a corner or a doorway and used his flight ability, he could use the edge to heave his sibling across the floor. It took some maneuvering, but he was having an easier time of it despite the fact that his brother was the picture of sleepy confusion. He lifted a paw to first swipe part of his messy mane away from his eyes, and then to rub sleep out of them.

If Boston had ears, he definitely would have flipped them backward at this point. Had he really been that noisy? Oh well.

Couldn't sleep ...

But the attention shifted to his eldest brother as he spoke of a.... surprise? Well, that had his attention, Mo generally had some pretty fun surprises.

Well, I'm sure you'll like it... .he won't though.

He pointed first at Finistris, then at Osias. But, really, that was to be expected.... Osias didn't like anything that he cared to actually imagine. With a grin, and after holding up a finger to indicate that he'd be right back, he disappearance to get the basket as carefully as possible. He oh so gently placed the basket on the floor in front of everyone, giving it just a moment for 'suspense' before lifting the bit of fabric up and off to reveal his 'surprise'.

The more aware of the two furry, black and purple forms poked his head up over the side of the basket, blinking up at all the strange faces with wide purple eyes and a squeak. The other one simply wiggled a bit and buried her face under her brother for the time being, not quite ready to relinquish sleep.

Yes. Xolani -was- thrilled. Her mouth opened up as if to shriek in delight, but only a light, airy squeak escaped her as she weasel side-scooted closer to the basket. Her mouth quickly snapped shut as if concerned the noise would have startled the children, resorting instead to the softest of coos that she had usually reserved for when she talked to Davy and Uluani when they had been just born.

"What pretty babies…." She said breathlessly. Rat. Weasel… two very prominent breeds in their family line. "Are you their papa?" There wasn't a hint of disbelief in her tone, but rather a near desperate request for clarification. Her eyes drifted back to the offspring. They didn't seem Lowlander. or even Hisstor. That was a slight disappointment, but the colors were admittedly still striking.

Oh. That wasn't food at all. Instead, it was more children. Well, that was okay, he supposed. It wasn't as if he hadn't been fed already. Cautiously, he shuffled up behind Xolani to get a better look.
