Sabe walked down the streets wondering where he was really supost to go. He had nothing really to do, besides waste time before he met with the Queen of Clubs. He had thought that he could do it whenever, but apparently their was a waiting list that he had put his name on, which wasn't scedualed untill later on in the week. So he had time to burn, so to speak. He looked for a nice place, walking around. He wasn't hungry nor was he really thirst at the time. He was just plain out bored. Their was nothing else that could explain his bordom, besides just being that. He didn't have anything else to do save walk around. He did though, have all these nice drugs that he was trying to sell... that could be interesting trying to get someone to smoke some Fingers with him... or something... he had bought a good bit. He spotted a nice bench in the park nearby that wasn't too occupided. More or less it was rather empty. That was a good thing right? When trying to use this stuffs.

It was another lovely day out, which meant the streets of the Capital were busy. Colin was there on buisiness, as usual, though he was severely distracted. The Court had been occupying more and more of his thoughts lately, and he'd talked with several people who were connected to it, including a rather nice Mid-Range mouse who worked as a guard there and who Colin was proud to call 'friend.' Distracted by these thoughts, and buisiness taken care of for the moment, Colin wandered absently into one of the Capital's parks, not really paying any attention to where he was going...which, given his propensity to be clumsy, was certainly not a good thing. It was hardly a surprise, therefore, when Colin tripped right over a bench he hadn't seen and blundered right into another Card. " Sorry! So sorry," Colin immediately interjected, fluttering back and looking in distress at the scattered contents of the messenger bag he usually wore, hoping nothing of the stranger's belongings had been spilled and mixed with it. Upon a glance up at the person he had collided with, Colin winced. A QUEEN? Great, he was in for it now...he bowed, blushing beneath his feathers. " I am so, so sorry for my clumsiness, Sir," he sputtered. " If there's anything I can do to make it up to you..." He got down in the grass to begin gathering up the papers that had fallen out of his bag.

He had been in quite thought about the whole stitiation that he had put himself in. He was totaly in his own thoughts as well. He hadn't noticed the five moving about and seemed as if in what appeared to someone else as a daze of some sorts.
He was thinking about what to try out first. Would he try these little rolled up things, or maybe this small mushrooms. He was thinking so hard about it that he had been plowed over by someone else.
He flew down in a rush catching himself with his hands and dragged himself quickly to his feat, fearing some sort of an attack. He was about to throw some of his magic when he realized that it was another avain, and apparently he was sorry as well. Which was a good thing. He could have been mean, but instead realizing that he had dropped some of his own belongins did he start to pick them up as well.
"Do not worry about it so, we all become to preoccupided." he said lifting the tight bundles that had odd fragrances emitting from them. He notcied that some of the papares had the mark of Spades... was he a carrier?
"You apart of the Court?" he asked shoving the last of the small packages into his mail bag.

Sure enough, there were some...things mixed in with his own belongings that weren't his, so Colin, in a rush to recover himself, just glossed over them, not even noting what they were at that moment. He looked guiltily up at the Queen from his position on the ground, still feeling horrible for this situation. "I am just so sorry, Sir, it was really clumsy of me," Colin babbled, straightening up but keeping his head down deferentially. "Really, I can make it up to you, I promise..." Realizing he was repeating himself, the cardinal trailed off, beak turned in an unhappy expression.
He started in surprise at the question, not sure what had given the heron the idea he was connected to the Spades Court...unless it had been his notes and articles he'd been gathering for information lately. "Oh, no, I'm afraid not," Colin replied, actually sounding rather sad of this fact. "I'm merely an interested civilian who runs messages and deliveries for a family business." Though that may change soon, if he had anything to say about it.
"I'm Colin, by the way, at your service Sir," he said, thinking it was only polite to introduce yourself to someone you just plowed into. He glanced to see if there was anything left on the ground...and caught a whiff of something...weird. Huh. A rather pungent, leafy sort of scent, but Colin couldn't place it. Nothing that grew in the Villa, surely...

So the card before him was quite the talker, he thought with a smile reaching out to the one that had named himself Colin. With his right hand he touched the other card underneth the beak, lifting it slowly.
"Do not look so down and gloom, it is a common mistake Colin." he said with a smile that he always kept for the occasion. He wasn't in any other mood today, like as if he was ready to tear someones head off or something. He was in a good mood, yet a bit puzzled to come across someone that had the same work area as he used to.
He started to worry about the smells that were emitting from the bag... even the other card seemed to have picked up on it, he hoped that he didn't know what it was and go off reporting him. It would be a long day to have to do something like that. "You know, its a good thing that you have ran into me this day... I have been looking for a nice person to talk to, being a queen and all, well people mostly stay away and don't wish to talk. he said leaning back aginst the bench that was pressent feeling the rough spot that he had hit.
He had to manuver the two sets of wings so he could sit just right, and comfortably. "Oh, how rude of me, I'm Sabe." he said extending a hand to be shook.

Colin was...a bit surprised when the Queen made physical contact with him. His first instinct was to pull quickly away, as he was very much a 'I have my personal bubble and no one else should be invading it' type of person. But he controlled it, and managed a smile before pulling...slowly back, standing up straight before the heron.
"I...thanks," he said hesitantly, unsure quite what to make of that statement of would-be reassurance. Did that imply that people literally bumped into him often? Because that just made Colin feel a bit more awkward about the whole thing.
He nodded. "Well...a lot of people do feel intimidated by those who outrank them," Colin agreed, with a slightly nervous laugh. He sat down on the bench, far enough away from the heron to maintain his personal space. The odd scent still bothering him a little bit, but he pushed it to the back of his mind as Sabe introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you," Colin intoned, though looked almost sadly at the hand, wishing he had his own biped...but he stuck out a claw and gripped Sabe's hand to shake it, since that would have to do.

He watched as the avain sat next to him, and yet on the other side of the bench. Sabe thought that if the bird didn't want to talk then he would have just walked away. So in his eyes the bird wished to talk.
He listened and wached the five that had curious words on him for his region. He smiled and nodded when it seemed appropraited and then begun to speak when it was his turn.
"Yes, I was born a seven and raised to become a queen," he said reaching into his pouch, "I know the feeling that you have quite well... and I havn't been a queen for long, so it takes some getting used to." he said smiling to the bird as he withdrew some papers that he needed to look over.
If the bird would look he would be able to tell that they were travle documents for shipments for a morter making company. He needed to make sure that the loads were correct... though this might just be one of the last few shipments that he would be able to get out, because of the Queen of Spades was buying out his small company for his Shipping Firm. It was good as long as it lasted though.
He looked back to Colin, he could tell that he knew something was fishy... so he might as well come out with it. "Do you know what fingers are?" he asked pulling out the package that had them already rolled up.

Truthfully, Colin didn't mind talking. In fact, he was a very social creature and loved meeting new people, especially high ranked people. And Forest of Kahmden wasn't bad, as far as regions went. His eyes widened with obvious interest at the heron's story. "Really? Well then, congratulations, Mr. Sabe! You've really come a long way," Colin said eagerly. One thought flashed across his mind: if he can do it, then so can I! Colin's goal in life was to become a high enough rank to be respected among the best parts of Card society. "I'm sure it was difficult for you." Especially since he had apparently achieved the rank on his own, not having mentioned any connection to the Courts.
As the other looked over documents, Colin busied himself with getting his own papers in order...as he had suspected, they were all in disarray after having scattered on the ground. He made a distressed noise, and began to sort them carefully.
He raised an eyebrow at Save's odd question, not looking up quite yet as he began his reply. "Fingers? Of course I know what..." The cardinal trailed off as he happened to glance up from the paper to see what, exactly, the heron was referring to. He just sat with his mouth agape, staring at what were clearly...drugs. "...Midori Fingers. Why...what are you doing?" he continued in an odd voice, giving the heron a look. This may appaear to be a stupid question, but he wasn't sure how to take this. Why would a Queen, who seemed otherwise to be a respectable Card, and a Kahmden at that, be indulging in...THAT. Colin's view of drugs and those who used or dealt them was very low. He had little respect for those who abused their bodies in that way.

He smiled to the younger card as he spoke to him in admariation. It felt good to be seen like this, a face card belonging to a court reveared by those of lower rank. Though not everyone treated or respected those that were higher. Though once he raised the question did he recive an answer that he hadn't expected.
He was just a curious character, someone that would try something once just to know the effects and yet here this five was looking at him as if he was the bad guy...
"Well Colin, this will be my first attempt with this drug, or any drug at that." he said lowering the small Midori Finger looking at it as if he really wished to try it out. He was just getting desperate, haveing to look all profecinal all the time, showing off infront of others... being someone that he wanted to be, and yet couldn't.
He looked back to Colin, "Have you ever tryed one before?" he asked looking to the avain as if seeking advice from him.

Colin breathed a sigh of relief on hearing the heron's admission. Though it still begged the question of why Sabe was even considering doing drugs now, when he was a high rank and had so much going for him. Why throw all that away for...a fake sense of happiness? Risk your body, your mind, your reputation...it seemed pointless to Colin. There were healtheir ways to get a sort of natural 'high'...music always made Colin giddy and took his mind to a lovely place, and there were no nasty side effects or ruined reputations to come of enjoying such a thing. Sex was another way to get a natural high, though Colin rather had to take that on others' words, never having experienced it himself...but here he was letting himself get distracted.
His feathers fluffed up, a bit taken aback at the question. "No, I have not! And I never will," he proclaimed firmly, before looking at the heron sadly. "And you shouldn't either. You've never tried drugs before? Great! Keep it that way. A lot of people, even Queens, have lost more than they could afford due to that...stuff." He waved a wing at the small, unassuming seeming Midori Finger in Sabe's hand.
