He rather agreed with that, something he wouldn't show his full agreement to "Yes." That was the only thing that would show his agreement. He took one of the bowls and soon had the first spoon-full in his mouth. It was..... heaven, even he could admit that safely in his own mind.
He cleared his throat lightly "It's acceptable." He complimented, it was the most positive compliment he ever had given to someone and that was telling something. He tested his wing, wanting to pick the bowl up from its place on the ground. He finally pushed through the pain to pick it up, it wasn't too bad anyway.
He looked at the cat for a while, before nodding "Sure, I could do that.." The tension that had build slowly faded as he realized he wouldn't have to do something that he didn't want. Okay, showing a book store wasn't on his want-to-do list either, but it was better than doing other things.

Well he didn't give him a drink to be told, so he guessed that a light fruit juice would be ok for the day, something that tasted so well and rare that the card would never forget the drink. Midiory starfruit mixed with Highlander pairs, plus some other mixed fruits that were hard to come by and even more expencive. Being a cook he knew how they tasted and even how they mixed well together. He knew that a bottle was around a hundred gold... a small fortune... so he smiled and waved a paw over the water skin. Small Power
He is able to change the flavor of one edible object once per day. He can make it taste like anything he wants to... good or bad. There was a small flash and he smiled as he nodded picking it up, uncorking it and then pouring some in each cup. He couldn't do anything about the color, so it still looked like water, but at least it would taste like something so much better. "Here you go, try this to wet your whistle." he said as he took a sip himself. It was like magic in his mouth, no pun intended. He just smiled and started to eat his own food that tasted so much better. He pulled out the travlers cakes and handed him all of them. "These should fit in your small pouch, they should fill you up when your hungry." he said as he smiled as he handed him the leaf wrapped foods. |

He finished the bowl half-way and he was offered already something else, it took him by surprise. He took it and sipped from it. His eyelids lowered in satisfaction. It was nice, it was even better than the food he had eaten before. The sensation had him loosing the ability to speak for a few seconds, not that he would attempt to do so otherwise.
He also accepted the cakes and blinked "Wha.." It was explained before he could continue his sentence and he finally nodded "Thank you." He would sound more awkward now, but he could be forgiven right now. He slowly ate the rest of the bowl and silenced himself once more. He couldn't let himself sound so confused.
He looked at the other Card from between lowered eyelids, examining him without being noticed, hopefully as he continued with the rest of the bowl. It would be all the more embarrassing, he pondered how it came why the Torque was so happy. From what he knew of that realm they always seemed to be depressed, was everyone like that or was this individual unique in that sense?
It was something that he would have to ponder on a later date. He took a sip from the water? again. The taste caressed his taste-buds and it brought a smile to his beak, something that hadn't been shown in years.

Menefer finished his bowl and looked up at the smiling bird. He gave a smile of satisfaction as he refilled his bowl and the others as well. He left the ladle in the pot and poured more of the enchanted water into each of their cups. He was rather pleased that he could bring smiles to others, which made him really happy that someone cared for his food... maybe... just maybe if he could continue feeding people that he would one day find a companion, someone that would love his food... and... maybe him?
That made him sigh in a way that was odd as he lowered himself on his paws and blushed thinking about a false future...
"Oh... Your very much welcome... and that smile suits you you know." he said as he stood back up feeling light headed from the rush of blood to his bound leg.

He felt giddy that he got more of this delicious food, it still wasn't something that he would say out loud though. He continued eating and drinking, slower this time as his stomach was slowly filling and giving a satisfied gurgle. He again almost smiled, the next comment had him almost freezing though. He forced his muscles to relax and then the comment hit him. Someone liked it.. when he smiled, he couldn't have stopped the blush with all the force in the world.
He was then thankful that the purple plumage he possessed would hide it. He lowered his head in a light nod and his eyes gleamed, maybe a tad pleased? "Unexpected.." He spoke lightly "But not unwelcome.." He really shouldn't be so nice just because he got some food!
He couldn't help himself though, it had been a while that he had eaten something good like that and he nearly didn't have to do something for that, only gather some wood. It wasn't comparable with the food. Great, he was rambling again. He closed his eyes, looking like he savored the taste some more, but it was truly to keep the confusion from showing. It was just all the food and the -almost- too nice Torque, right?
The sigh had him reopening his eyes and his head was tilted to the side, blinking slowly "Something wrong?" He questioned lightly.

Menefer just had enough time to catch what he said before he stumbled back down to the ground. He would then lay there for a moment. His leg being bound up in that way made it where if he got up too quickly that he became lightheaded and dizzy, almost fainting.
INstead he just wound up bumping his chin on a rock and laid there for a few seconds.
"Oh... sorry... just a bit dizzy..." he said as he laid there for a moment to think about things. Oh... This bird could make quite the friend... perhaps something more... but that was a odd Grey area for him.

He paused as the other spoke of just feeling dizzy. He would have raised an eyebrow if he had possessed any. He nodded slowly "Right.." It had to do with the bonding, most likely. It looked quite annoying, not that he would know. He also knew better than to offer his sympathies, resent walk ins with some hadn't ended well because he had done so.
He moved his wing, as if extending it out to help. He froze half-way though, unsure of his own actions. He was thankful that the blush had faded by now. He moved lightly, before withdrawing his wing, the unsure expression now mirrored on his face.
He cleared his throat and moved his gaze away, giving some sort of privacy so they could gather their wits together. It seemed like the both of them needed it. He being unsure and the Torque cat with having a dizzy-spell. He maybe would have helped if he knew how he could do so, but having never learned it out of pure laziness.

The feline just watched him for a moment from the ground before raising slowly from the ground, watching as he wanted to help and even watched as he withdrew his wing before he could even attempt to be helped. It made him wonder about all this though, was there something that he should know about this card?
"Are you ok there? You seemed to be ashamed of something? A cracker for your thoughts?" he asked with a bit of cooking humor. Though he would just smile and sit on his haunches as he tok the water and drinked some more, this time just plain water. The other stuff just tasted to sweet for him.

"Just reflecting on what my parents have taught me.." He spoke, ironic humor in his voice, giving a hint that they hadn't taught him anything. He seemed more ashamed now "It makes me unable to react correctly in some situations.." It was spoken slightly emotionless.
He then smiled, a bit pained "I apology beforehand if I do such things.." He blinked "Based on your reaction I assume that I did something wrong now as well?" He looked down, clearing his throat "I apology." He only hoped that it would be enough to satisfy the other's... curiosity? He didn't know if it was that, or just indifference, asked because it was expected.

Menefer just placed a paw on his temple and rubbed it a bit. The feline wasn't really sure what he was saying or where he was coming from. All he could do was just stare at the man for a second just as confused as he was.
"Well don't feel bad... I'm probably the only happy Torquehelm in all of the realms. So my parents never was able to teach my anything, save for a harsh upraising." he said as he played with the rim of his glass with one of his paws. "So don't feel that bad... you didn't do anything wrong, I guess that we both are just really screwed up then huh?" with that he took the last bit of his drink in one go and then went to move to start clearing the plates and cook ware.
