She nodded her head at his request, "I can easily do that for you."
As Wyn told his dad the news, she could not suppress the giggle at the way he did it. She gave him a fond hug and kiss on the cheek. He really was cute. Though, it was a good thing that she would be the one that let her dad know.
"Thank you" she replied happily to his congratulations, moving one of her paws to rest protectively over her stomach. She was so happy he seemed to be pleased by the news. "If the calculations are not off then I should only be in my second month along." She added happily.
"No, no, please. If you do not have anything that demands your attention we would love for you to stay for a while. Perhaps you would like to have supper with us?" she offered.

Theofilus paused in mid motion when he was about to leave. He really couldn't when Elyse was protesting. Two months in... that was quite sometime wasn't it? Eilwyn really had grown up on some level.
The Queen still didn't think the parent thing was going to go well. That hill would come when they got to it. Which would be entirely too soon in the sparrow's opinion.
"I'm cooking Chicken Milano tonight.... so you might enjoy it Dad. We haven't had a family dinner in a really long time either." He said with a pleading expression. He knew that dad had trouble refusing that face--and felt a little guilty because of it. However the child side of him won out. Dad hadn't been around recently... and sometime sit made the eagle wonder if he had forgotten his promise from so long ago...
"Well. I suppose I could stay a little longer. However. I do at least want to tell Calia and Kelasia the news if you don't mind. I think they would be thrilled to find out such good news." He smiled. He wondered if they would take this as a compromise.

She gave a happy clap when they had won Theo over, Wyn made wonderful meals. "I have no problems with it," she looked to Wyn for confirmation. That also reminded her that her two mothers should probably be informed, just in case they wanted to know about it too.
"So how have things been going for you recently?" She asked Theo, glad that the attention and tension was not on them anymore. She relaxed against Wyn, giving his hand a fond squeeze. She had not been completely aware of just how tense she had been till now.
As they sat about talking she felt more and more at ease. It was always nice to relax with family. She could only hope that her own father would take to the news as easily. They would have to contact him next, she was pretty sure that he was suppose to be in the Capital sometime soon.

It had completely escaped Eilwyn that maybe other family members would like to know the news. Really, Miss Calia did love children and even though Miss Kelasia had bad luck sometimes she liked children too. Well, he supposed the whole family would eventually find out. Snuggling closer to Elyse he nodded for confirmation.
Theofilus knew who wore the metaphorical pants in the relationship but smiled and nodded. All right. He didn't have to keep a secret from two of the most important ladies in his life. That never really worked out well no matter the circumstance.
"Everything is going smoothly I suppose. I haven't run into a major snag recently." And he commenced with small talk. It was a wonderful evening and Theofilus couldn't help but relax and enjoy himself. It was exactly what he had needed to do for quite sometime.

Eilwyn had half a mind to pace. However, that would be a bad idea. Dad had taken things so well, so Elyse's father would probably be the same? That or he would set the eagle on fire. He really really hoped that wouldn't happen.
The eagle sat on the couch, a coffee in place for the Queen when he came. Which would, in theory, be fifteen minutes. Probably sooner. Really. Eilwyn took a deep breath and tried to settle down.

He had eagerly accepted when his daughter and Wyn invited him over the next time he was in the Capital. At the next available date he had taken time off and was now heading toward the apartment that they shared.
Seeing that Wyn appeared to be apprehensive she came to stand in front of him. She placed a paw on either side of his face, leaning down so that she could kiss him on the beak. It was only when he was sitting that she could do this, her mouse form being smaller then his bipedal.
"You have nothing to worry about, remember." She reiterated to him. She was pretty sure that they were both aware that her father might not take as easy to the news as his father had. She was pretty confident, though, that he could be brought around to see it as good quickly enough.

"Right..." The eagle said quietly. Elyse always did know how to make him feel better. "S-sorry I'm so nervous. It's just I can't imagine your father would be too thrilled about me getting his daughter pregnant." He shifted a bit before wrapping one arm around her briefly.
The teapot whistled in the kitchen. Eilwyn sighed before releasing his grip so he could go and take care of the tea. In all his anxiety he had managed to finish four cups. This time he decided to make some Rosehip tea. That way he would be getting more than just caffeine in the process.
He paused briefly in the kitchen after pouring to cups. Was he taking everything he had for granted? The thought made him worry just a tiny bit, but he pushed it out of his head for the time being. They had to tell Elyse's dad the good news. He couldn't run away. Nodding to himself with renewed confidence he returned to the living room.
Now all they had to do was wait for the knock.

As he made his way nearer the apartment, he started to wonder what was up. While he alway enjoyed a visit with his daughter and her mate it felt like something was going on though. It was going to be an interesting surprise.
Humming a little tune to himself he finally reached the door. After clearing his throat, he gave a quick knock, waiting for an answer.
She gave him another fond kiss before moving aside a little allowing him up from the couch. As he headed toward the kitchen she tidied up the already tidy coffee table before sitting down on the couch.
When Wyn came back into the living room was when the knock sounded. Looking to Wyn she raised an eyebrow in wonder over who was going to answer the door. She was willing to get back up, especially since Wyn was so nervous, but she would leave the decision up to him.

Eilwyn felt something knot up inside him when there was a knock on the door. However he looked to Elyse with the best smile he could muster considering the circumstances. "I'll get it." He said weakly.
He certainly didn't hurry to the door. When he made it he lingered for a moment. Really. This was happening and he couldn't avoid it. Choking back a whimper only an eagle to could make, he opened the door.
"Hello," he said as cheerily as he could. "Welcome. I made some coffee for you..." He wasn't sure what else he was supposed to say to the mouse. What was the Queen going to do to him when he found out the news. Was he going to be as shocked as Dad? Was he going to be angry?
Really the eagle didn't want to be set on fire.
Once the door was closed he followed the mouse into the living room.

He was just about to knock again while waiting for Wyn's hesitant answer before the bird answered the door.
"Ah, Wyn, hello. I trust everything is going well?" He replied, patting the avian on the back of the shoulder. "Ooh, coffee. You are a wonderful lad, you know that?"
While he made his way inside Elyse had managed to stand back up.
"Papa!" She greeted him when he came closer to her, giving him a loving hug. "How have things been for you?" She asked, motioning for him to take a seat before taking her own. She left the seat on her other side for Wyn, hoping that by being between the two males might help when the news was broken to her dad.
He rolled his eyes before responding. "Well enough, well enough. Right now it seems that everyone has a concern that needs to be addressed by me though." Some days it really was quite tiring.
