As an effort to reach out to children in the city for the beginning of the Sprouts, Khushrenada had a Diamonds contact in the Capital write an article and submit it to one of the papers. It briefly detailed the organization's purpose, its goals, and how to make contact with him should anyone or their children have an interest in joining. He'd received a letter of interest earlier that week from a young lady in the Capital and wrote back with the time and place for a meeting. A public park was the safest place, he decided, and where more visible and less intimidating than the small park with a fountain near the center of the city? It was easy to find, everyone knew where it was, and the area was safer than others he might have chosen. An hour after noon would leave them plenty of daylight. He had to go to the Capital earlier that day for his Queen's business, and so it was an opportune time. There was a good crowd in the park when he arrived, tourists marveling at the stonework and craftsmanship of the fountains as well as locals taking a quick lunch break before returning to work. He chose a bench by the largest fountain and waited, sitting and sipping an insulated mug of coffee. He was on the lookout for a Torquehelm bat named Oriana, though he knew little more than that. At least the breed was rare enough that she should stand out in a crowd once she got close. Mirriam would no doubt be pleased if the young lady decided to join.
