Senka wasn’t thrilled to be back in Corvistowne--her last trip to the region had been far too eventful for her tastes, and it wasn’t an experience she was looking to repeat in the near future--but she was feeling a little better equipped this time around. The trip was most definitely on her terms; there would be no sentient machines and damnable puzzles this time around. Corvistowne had something to offer, and she was going to take full advantage. Senka wanted to fly. It was a silly dream, a child’s dream, but she wanted it; and she had wanted it for a very long time--though she wasn’t in the habit of jumping out of trees or off the roof anymore, and hadn’t that given her Uncle Ezra a fright. And if she had heard correctly, there was someone who could make those dreams a reality. She checked the address she had laboriously copied down--gods what she would give for opposable thumbs--feeling almost giddy with anticipation. Almost, because Senka didn’t do giddy. She knocked.

Rocky was working in the basement--where else would he be working? Either way the raccoon happily sang to himself as he worked on mixing a few chemicals for his immunosuppresents. It wasn't a particularly difficult formula to follow after so many times. Sometimes he debated on using a different method to mix them, but why mess with something that worked so perfectly? He was about to go through the motions before there was a knock on the door. Taking off his goggles he looked around for his clock. Was he expecting someone today? No that couldn't be right. Today was Wednesday... or was it Thursday? He frowned. Shaking it off he set his goggles down and bound up the stairs. The raccoon didn't hesitate to open the door with an expression of curiosity painted on his face. "Oh, Hello!" He said in his usual cheerful tone. "Are you here to make an appointment?"My what a strange Corvie... she was a lovely shade of blue though. Perhaps she wanted a set of wings to match. That would be lovely! Difficult to find but lovely none the less.

Senka had almost convinced herself that no one was home and had already started planning the long trip home—ignoring the flicker of disappointment—when the door was flung open and her eyes were assailed by bright, conflicting colors and a cheerfully smiling façade.
Senka’s eyes couldn’t quite decide what to settle on—there weren’t many ‘taur around, and that was interesting all by itself—but her gaze quickly settled on the mismatched appendages tucked in against his back. He had wings, and Senka knew it was impolite to stare—not that she generally gave a damn, but she thought it wise to be polite to someone who might be operating on her in the near future—but she couldn’t seem to look away. They were beautiful.
“Yes,” Senka murmured vaguely, “Yes, I suppose I am.” Giving herself a mental shake, she wrangled her thoughts into some semblance of order and met his eyes, "I'm Senka."

"It's nice to meet you Miss Senka! I'm Rocco, a flight and wing specialist, but you can call me Rocky if you like. " He said with a huge grin painted on his face. If she wasn't in the right place, that would be enough to let her know who he was and what he did. "Would you like to come in? I don't think standing out here is very fun." He opened the door a bit wider and stood to the side, allowing the other Card entrance.
She was a strange breed. What was she anyway? Horns, long tail, cat like sort of face but also mousy? Not that any of this mattered. If she was here she wanted to get wings, and that was all that Rocky truly cared about. "You can take a seat in the sitting room to the left, I'm going to dark to the kitchen to get a few snacks and something to drink, if you don't mind. Is there anything you would like to drink?"

Senka followed the raccoon into his abode, pausing in the entryway to process his rambling; she considered not having anything, but politeness dictated that that she have something lest she make her host uncomfortable and for today, at least, Senka had decided to play nice. “Water would be fine.”
“To the left, you said,” she confirmed, not really waiting for a response as she trailed down the hall and turned to the left into a cozy, if slightly eclectic sitting room. She spent a moment to admire the arrangement before she settled down on a sofa and made herself as comfortable as possible while she waited.
She fidgeted more than she relaxed. Now that she had found the man she was looking for, waiting for refreshments was almost more than her patience would allow; she wanted to get down to business. This close to her goal, nothing would be allowed to get in her way.

"Water it is then!" The raccoon said as he practically oozed with cheer. He pranced towards the kitchen after confirming the directions. Of course there wasn't very much room for error considering the size of his house. He is swiveled as he searched in the cupboards for a nice looking glass. When had everything become so worn and chipped?
Once he found the appropriate rose colored glass he used to serve guests he hurried over to the ice box, and grabbed the entire pitcher he kept "just in case." Rocky happily came back to the sitting room, and offered the other Corvie the glass by setting it on the coffee table along with the pitcher.
"Now, Miss Senka, what exactly are you interested in as far as my services are concerned? Decorative wings? Actually working wings? Something else entirely?" He tilted his head curiously as he waited for a response. Perhaps he was getting ahead of himself, but even if he was he would be corrected. So he hoped.

Senka appreciated the man’s eagerness to get straight down to business--it saved her from the painful monotony of small talk--and finished taking a sip of the water he had gone to so much trouble to retrieve--she was still playing nice, after all--before answering:
“What’s the point of having wings if they’re useless? Pretty for sure, but not what I’m looking for,” Senka paused for a moment before continuing, “What I’d like is to fly, and if your reputation is anything to go by, you are more than capable of making this dream of mine a reality.” She was very nearly thrumming with the thought; she was so close.
Senka wasn’t a fool, though. She doubted it was a simple process, and she was sure the price would be steep--a price she was more than willing to pay to get what she wanted

Rocky laughed, "I like you! I like you a lot!" The raccoon waved a hand. "Some people are looking for decoration I have to tend to all sorts in my profession. However, since you're interested in flight I might as well get to business."
The raccoon practically purred as he took a comfortable seat. "Now, attaching wings is a far more complicated process than you might think. First I need to test which medications I can use, and if you're allergic to my immunosuppressants or not. After that it's the process of finding the proper wings. I don't know what you would be interested in. If you want Corvistowneian wings that match your coloration or if you want something else entirely. There's the trial reject period and then of course there's the matter of payment."
He shrugged. "That is the simple summary of what needs to be done. Are you willing to go through all of that to obtain flight, Miss Senka?"

Senka didn't have to deliberate long on her response; she had made her decision long before she had left home, and she wasn't going to let an irrational fear of needles or anything else get in the way of achieving her dreams of flight.
"I'm willing." More than willing, actually, but she didn't want to come off as too eager, even if his own enthusiasm was rather catching. "As for what I'm looking for, ideally I'd like something in my own coloration, but as I imagine that would be rather difficult to acquire, plain black would be my next choice."
"Payment wont be an issue." Her little music business was doing quite well for itself, and if what she had tucked away in the recess of her satchel wasn't enough to cover his fee, then she could always wire the bank for more funds.
She thought she had covered everything vital, for the moment, and decided to ask the question sitting eagerly on her tongue: "When do we start?"

(( OOC: Just so you know, I have no idea how many points you need for wings because, silly me, managed to destroy the majority of my PM inbox a while back. Might want to PM Nat for details. ))
Rocky grinned like a fiend. It was fantastic to have a customer who didn't play games! It was fantastic to have someone who truly wanted to fly! Stuffing down his more excitable part of him he cleared his throat. "Well, since you're so determined we can do the beginning preparations today. I'll just need to take a bit of your blood, and give you a small injection to test if you have any allergies. You'll have to come back tomorrow, for the results. Of course, if you're horribly allergic to anything I'll know right off the bat."
The raccoon waved a hand towards his lab door. "If you'll join me downstairs we can get started."
The raccoon could have practically skipped with joy. Of course the matter of finding wings that matched. He would have to go through quite a few dealers to find proper ones that matched her particular blue. Pure black would probably be a bit more difficult....
