Midori was a small, yet exacting place. And the best part, in Rosemary's opinion, was the good deal of alcohol. It made the world a much better place to live in. Of course right now she was nowhere near a bar and she honestly had very little idea of where she was. She wasn't actually lost, she just had no particular place she wanted to be. And she was enjoying the scenery here anyway. The water was even nice to look at for an extend period of time, which was more than she could say about a lot of places. Of course that did explain why the region was a wonderful tourist trap. Though this tiny town didn't seem to be part of the loop. She used the term "town" loosely in this situation. Honestly her home in the Tulgey woods was bigger than this place. Though everyone here seemed to be more friendly. "Pardon me," She said brightly and cordially to the nearest person who didn't look particularly busy, "Could you direct me to the nearest bar?"

Davy had been standing near a fruit stand, up on his haunches with a paw fiddling with his growing beard. Already into his mid teens, it was obvious he was embracing this new era of his life. It might have appeared that he wasn't too busy, but the poor lad was actually putting on an air of nonchalance as he all but posed for a Midori girl across the way. He'd seen her eyes on him; and even if all he got was a small smile his way, Davy couldn't help but puff out his chest. One foot was propped up on an empty crate that screamed out 'iconic rum of some strange land that is in no way relevant to SoD yet somewhat amusing in an OOC light… The girl had turned away though rather suddenly, as if frightened by what she had seen. His expression was perplexed for just a moment, till he heard a voice behind him. The smell of roses pervaded the air…. interesting. When he turned around, Davy couldn't help that his eyes nearly popped out of his head. "Egads! Some -extensive- linkage ye have deer, Missus!" He blurted out, hands going to his hips as he looked her over. A broad smile graced his face, eyes twinkling. As if remembering some semblance of etiquette, he gave something of a bow before answering her question "It be dependent on what kind of bar ye be looking' fer. We be havin' da finest of hookah bars, fruit bars, but fruit be not what ye after, is it? Perhaps a fine RUM be what ye after!" He let out a booming laugh almost too deep for a boy his age. Immediately, he knew this woman was out of his league, older and a tourist perhaps. This automatically kept him from putting on any moves to this fine Queen lady. Still, his eyes glimmered with a curiosity not often seen in the eyes of a Midori. "Just tell me what ye be lookin' fer, and I'll be RIGHTLY sure to hook ye up. Ehe… hook.. fishing.. ahh.. ferget it. Heh!"

(OOC: XD I have to say, you your post had me giggling with delight,)
His outburst didn't phase the Queen. She had gotten plenty of comments concerning her appearance, along with screaming, running away, and and throwing things. An outburst like that was actually refreshing.
He was actually rather enchanting for a teenage boy. It wasn't every day one was willing to help. She wasn't particularly one for underage teenager romances.... but there was a first time for everything right? Maybe if he was cute enough she'd actually make an exception to the rule.
No point in getting ahead of herself though.
"I didn't know Midori was such a happening place," she said as a toothy grin spread across her face. Of course she had every intention of taking the alcoholic option. She had heard plenty of fantastic stories about how good the drinks were in the realm. "Rum sounds like the best option out of all of those Bars. Though I have to admit a fruit bar might be tasty option for later... as thanks for showing me around, would you accept a drink from me?"
What was the legal drinking age here anyway?

"Tha's a fine choice iffin' I say so meself." He said with a grin, running a claw through the tuft of bear on his chin before pivoting on his heel to face the other direction. With a gesture over his shoulder for him to follow, he scurried on all fours through the traffic. Generally speaking, most of those in the street weren't very tall themselves, so he was an easy target to keep up with amongst the varying shades of green and pink in the crowd.
He led her to a bar just away from the main marketplace; it wasn't so much of a building as it was a shack with mats to sit on underneath a lean-to made of local wood and banana leaves as the roofing. Regardless, it was an endearing place with a cheerful Midori possum behind the bar.
"Davy! Don' ya t'ink it be too early to get into ya cups?" The older Midori mock-chastized, deft handpaws already reaching for some unlabeled bottle from his shelf.
"Oh, it's not for me own benefit, Jali, I'm makin' sure da tourists be gettin' the best flavors this village got to offer."
The person, 'Jali', as he seemed to be named, raised his brows at the sight of a creature following behind the young lad. "Dis wanno ya ma's friends, boyo?"
Davy narrowed his eyes at the man, silently letting him know that he was making a rather hasty judgement about his new, odd looking friend. Jali immediately caught on and bristled a bit, hastening to get two cups from under the counter and come up with a broad, distracting grin. "Na worries, man! I'll take care o' da both of ya. Is da nice lady wannin' to hear abou' me rum?"

Rosemary cheerfully followed the boy with little trouble. She stood out like a sore thumb, and plenty of people edge away from her with wide eyed expressions. A smirk was on her face the entire time as she enjoyed the scenery and reactions. Oh, she was going to have interesting dreams tonight, wasn't she?
When they arrived she gave the place a curious look. Suits, she really liked Midori culture. It was different from most of the uppity places she had visited, and far more inviting and quaint than home. This had been a fantastic choice for an actual vacation.
Her eyes narrowed at the word "ma." Had the bartender just insinuated what she just thought he did? The man's thoughts on her were plainly written across her chest for the world to see, though he might to be able to catch the fleeting words, she was more than capable.
The canine was amused at how his tune changed with Davy's stare. He was such a nice find, perhaps she could get a bit of a story out of him? He did seem like he would make a good character in a novel or could know a few of the local tales she couldn't quite pin down. "Rum would make my day, and potentially get you a nice tip," she gave the possum a toothy grin.
She then turned to Davy. "You know, I think in all my haste I didn't properly introduce myself. I'm Rosemary."

Davy's brows raised when he realized this breach of etiquette. Sometimes, he didn't even notice when he didn't give out his name, as he found that it was easy to have even the most intimate of conversations with someone who is never more than a stranger.. but for the sake of his company, he had no qualms with introducing himself. "The name's Davy. It's a real pleasure to meet ya, Rosemary."
Jali grinned broadly at the two, pulling out a few more ingredients. "aa-ee den. I'll give ya a taste of it in what be in ma humblest o' opinions, da best way to drink ma brew." He gave a wink as if to say 'trust me on this one' and dropped two ice cubes into each glass, followed by a teaspoon of sugar and a hearty squeeze of lime in each. Finally, the dark, potent brew was added to each and given the briefest of stirs with a sugar cane sprig that was intentionally left as an attractive and sweet addition to the concoction. Deftly, the man slid them closer to the waiting duo.

She had conversed with plenty of strangers, but it was nice to put a name to a face. That way if she ran into him at some other point she would be able to say something other than "Hey you." Suits only knew when she would see him after this little meeting.
Rosemary watched the bartender with mild curiosity. She had always envied Cards who had dexterity in their animal forms. It looked so terribly useful, and despite being part squirrel she was stuck with massive wolf paws that made mixing drinks and things that required fine motor skills difficult. She had managed, of course, and she was still a complete and utter mess in the kitchen even with her bipedal form.
She snatched up her drink giving it a slight sniff before taking a sip. Not only did it smell wonderful it was probably the best rum she had ever gotten a chance to taste. "Oh this totally gets on the top ten of my alcohol list," she commented cheerfully.
The wolf squirrel's eyes wandered over to her companion. What sort of stories did he have to tell?

The bar tender gave a cheery smile, obviously pleased, but not surprised that the woman approved. After all, he had quite a bit of pride toward his brew.
Davy took a gulp of his drink with great relish, eyes closing for a moment before glancing back over at his newfound companion. She was looking at him, and he grinned at her under the scrutiny.
"Dat be a pensive look iffen I ever saw one." He said with a laugh, bringing the glass back to his lips, but hesitated before taking a sip. "Tourists. They usually have a look about them. Wandering around wif flowers in dey hair and a map in da other. You seem a sort that goes wherever da wind takes you. You're… Tulgey, eh? I'll be honest with you.. Ya a rare sight. I've only seen one other. What brings you out of da wood or.. is dat a touchy subject? Hell, you'll be hard pressed to get a Midori out of the sun so I understand the proclivity for homeboundess… Ah. Listen to me. I'm rambling'! I hope ya not be taken' offense to me curiosity."

It was rare running into someone who was curious and polite about it. Drinks and conversation. This was a fantastic little vacation. She sipped her alcohol with a slight smirk.
"I have a bit of wanderlust. I tend not to stay in one place for very long," She absently stirred her drink with a finger as she kept her eyes on Davy. "I am a Tulgey. I happened to run into an interesting little curse that changed the color of my fur. In fact, I lost my wings and had to get them properly replaced."
The tiny wings on her back wiggled to illustrate her point.
"I'm a Bard, so I don't stay in my region very often. I've practically exhausted every story in the anti-social little place without having to go and find the hermits who live in the places off the grid. So I'm running around the various realms and collecting what I can. I figured I would stop here for a proper vacation, but my curiosity gets the better of me."

Davy nodded, clearly interested. Obviously he had wondered about her strange coloring but it was a difficult thing to ask about. He could have easily assumed it was some extreme form of body modification with how she'd altered other parts rather ornately with piercings. To have to replace her wings though… did those wings have some amount of meaning to Tulgeys? Perhaps it wasn't as simple as markings.
"Oh… dat so? I reckon ye have quite a few stories then." No doubt that was in and of itself an understatement. "Ah imagine dat stories are rather a rather 'travel friendly' souvenir if 'dere ever was one."
"Now…" He took a swig of his rum and set it back on the bar with a rather hilarious poignancy. "Ah must implore ye, m'lady. Share a story with me from your travels."
