The sparrow did have a talent for numbers, though he had decided that working with numbers as his profession wasn't in his cards. He had taken to being a event planner and balancing resources for other people. That was far more fun and stimulating for him.
But considering the Court needed quite a few positions filled he had a small idea of what he was getting into.
Following the Page the sparrow enter the room with as much confidence as he could beam without being a complete and utter jackass about it. It was a delicate balance of charm, pride and victory. The sparrow greeted the Queen with the proper courtesy, and took his seat.
"I think it went rather well," he said as he reached into his corset to produce the handkerchief, "This monogrammed token is hopefully enough to show you that we have a bit of new found support."
He offered the neatly folded silk handkerchief to the Queen.

Sadie couldn't hold back the pleased little grin that found its way onto her lips. She reached out and accepted the offered kerchief - yes, this was clearly the one. Damn. The boy had managed to far exceed her expectations, and he'd done it in record time. The initial estimates were that it would take quite a lot of time to convince the old bat that she wanted to become involved in the Court again.
This Ez was going to be quite useful to have around. Sadie slipped the token into one of her desk drawers for the time being. She wasn't entirely sure what she was going to do with the thing, but she'd figure that part out later. "It is my pleasure then, Ez, to welcome you to the Court as more than just the son of the late Queen.[/b]" She stood, extending a hand to the man and giving him a full and genuine smile. "I am looking forward to working alongside you, Your Highness. The attendant will meet with you and show you the rooms we currently have available. You can start officially as soon as you feel you're ready for it.[/b]"
Which was hopefully going to be soon. There was already a massive pile of paperwork waiting for the Sparrow. Such was the way of the Courts.
