Really, though they were speaking and standing right next to her, Jak and Amhal's words didn't even begin to register in Treasa's mind. She was too terrified. A high-pitched whine went out of her when Jak drew closer, and she looked up at him, eye rolling back with blind terror. She had to get out, get far away, but when she tried she was shaking too badly, and her injured leg still wasn't supporting her weight like it should.
No. No no no. This couldn't be happening. This was her family! But they'd killed Dell, and then they were standing over her and casually talking about it. It was like Jak just wanted her to be happy, but Amhal wanted her to end up just like her sister... The sight of the pelt made her stomach churn and she choked on her own saliva, panting desperately with fear. She tried to scramble away from Jak, put some distance between herself and the wine-colored cloak that was her dead sister, and bumped into Amhal in the process.
One glance at the look on the boy's face and she screamed. It was too much for her to take. The combination of her fear over what was going to happen and the blind madness that gripped her whenever she looked at the cloak took its toll and she fell back again, but went still as her eye rolled back in her head.
Treasa lost consciousness.

She was stressed. She was terrified. The whole room stank of her fear and urine. Jak whined, starting to unravel and stress out as he danced uncertainly from foot to foot. He hated her fear. Something on his brother's face worried him. Everything had gone so wrong so fast...!
"Dell couldn't be happy," he whimpered, dancing antsily on his awkward bipedal legs and dragging the bone tails across the ground with a scraping, clacking sound as they rattled on the floor. "So miserable. So unhappy. She wouldn't even smiiiile, it was so bad. She didn't want to see me. See anyone. She was all alone, no company and no fun and all by herself, and I just... she wouldn't come back. She wouldn't be happy. So the only way to get a smile on her face was to... put it there. But I couldn't while she was still in control of it."
He'd been so concerned at first when she'd stopped moving. But then 'she' had settled in his mind, and her skinned self had taken on a life of its 'own', and he was completely reassured and justified in his methods. And his results. Everything was fine for Dell. She was so happy with them now. He stopped his dancing and slowly let his eyes slide to Treasa.
Wondering.

[sorry ladies, I kinda forgot his existed. >> ]
Amhalghaidh listened to Jak talk. Yes. that was exactly the answer he was looking for. If he had just gone ahead and done it, he feared Jak would get in the way, but now that he had gone and answered the question. Well, it was time to keep steering this in the right direction.
He opened his mouth to speak when she collapsed. He suddenly felt a slight loss of interest in the chase. He walked over to the body and pawed at it. It wasn't moving. It wasn't running. So what in the hell was he supposed to do with it now?
"Yes Jak," he said, trying to get back that thrill, that inspiration, "And look how happy Dell is now. It doesn't look like Treasa will ever be happy, not with her eyes..." he trailed off, turning several ideas over in his head. Somewhere inside of him was very curious. He'd always run and hid when if someone ever came across him. But lately...
Lately he'd been feeling the other response wanting to be acted on. No more Flight. The gradually building rage in the teenager made him want to branch out.
Try new things.

Jak wasn't completely sure where his brother was going with this kind of talk, but the seed of the idea had been planted in his mind and it niggled at him. He sat down and whined a little, though less in distress and more in confused thought now. It didn't seem like Sa was just begging for happiness like Dell had been, secluding herself in the forest and making herself all lonely and unhappy like that before he found her. She'd seemed pretty terrified just then, though, and she wouldn't be scared of them if she'd been at all happy or in her right mind. They were family.
"Her eyes... yeeeeah, I guess. Maybe. But I dunno. I... I guess I'll go along with whatever yooou decide, Awwwwley. You're the smart one." Unsteadily, he tottered towards his brother without paying much attention to his feet and nudged at the feline.
This whole thing was so weird and unsettling. Jak only knew one thing for certain.
Sa wasn't leaving.
((And I think we can conclude this. <3))
