Eldy's naiveté was never more obvious than in this, when it never even crossed her young mind what this might look like to anyone else. She'd never even had a chance to develop many friendships with other Cards, let alone anything more. It just hadn't been safe. So she merely nodded to Sadie, implications of the statement going clear over her head.
But she -did- understand secrets, and so didn't press the subject of what the Mantis wanted once she implied it would require someplace more private. "Of course," she said politely, with a small smile and a little inclination of her head. Oddly enough, this would unintentionally look rather flirty, further cementing the idea of what was going on here to the other patrons of the cafe.
Eldy was a bit surprised at Sadie's next comment. About her? What about her? She laughed quietly. "I'm afraid there's not too much to tell," she admitted wryly. "I like fish and cream, but what cat doesn't? I don't even have many hobbies, aside from people-watching." She took a sip of her tea, and at least her manners would speak of being raised in the Court.
((<333 It's fine! :3))

Really, the appearance of their meeting suited Sadie just fine. It meant that less attention would be called to it - what was odd about a Yarrow woman meeting with, and having lunch with, a beautiful young woman such as Eldy? With that in her mind, she took care to make sure her general appearance and body language fed into the illusion, smiling and laughing mirthfully, generally seeming to have a good time even when business was really at the heart of the matter.
The idle chit-chat was nice, and it gave Sadie a better idea of Eldy, more than a professional interview would have.
By the end of their little meeting, the Queen was sure of it. This was the woman for this particular job, and potentially others in the future. That depended, of course, on how things worked out this time around. She couldn't help the feeling that they would, and she was feeling remarkably cheery by the time she'd paid for their tea and nibbly-bits. Eldy was instructed that if she was interested in the offer that Sadie had given earlier in the day, that she was to meet the woman again here in two week's time. From there, she would be given further instructions and specific details.
It was a good day.
(aaand done? :3)
