Lauryn, it has to be a pre-existing Card. Because you are getting an ENTIRELY NEW character out of the Burdened ticket (from what I understand). And Nat has specifically said that you can't use a Burdened ticket in conjunction with any other ticket, which is what using the new character to get from that ticket would be qualified as, I'm pretty sure.
