((OOC: Yikes. D: Sorry for the huge idle there. Life ate me and I honestly didn't realize it had been so long. Ryn: I don't mind if Lucca doesn't. <3 Would you like me to hold off on a reply until then? Or am I free to go and you'll just jump in whenever? ^.^;;; ))

Kama bobbed her head, taking mental note of the place. If he played there, it probably meant other interesting people frequented the place. Two good reasons to visit once she was all settled at the Capital. When he began to glance around in annoyance, Kama took her chance to taken in the area herself. Nothing much had changed, the beachgoers still meandered here, food and trinket vendors still advertised their wares, and there was still a distinct lack of anyone who looked as though they'd be meeting Colin.
"Don't worry about it," she said, smile never faltering. "It's been a pleasure, though I'm sorry your contact still hasn't shown." Would he want to leave before sunset? Not that it really mattered; her offer to accompany him stood whether he left now or later. Her day hadn't gone exactly according to plan, either, but sometimes that was a good thing.

The diner wasn't quite as high class a place as Colin might have sometimes wished, especially when it was his main job, while he lived in the Capital. But to say that it got some interesting types of people...that much was certainly true. Even some of the regulars had been special. Some of them had stories to tell if there was a lull in the music (which Colin had mainly heard while off duty so to speak, because he made sure that as long as he was at that piano there was music) that were always a joy to hear.
With a shake of his head, Colin focussed hit attention back on Kama instead of the rest of the beach. He sagged a bit wearily and rubbed at his head. "I am, too," he said wryly, though the corners of his beak turned up slightly in a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "So...tell me, if you would...what interests you?" They might as well have a decent conversation. At least it would hopefully distract him from further brooding about being stood up by his contact.
