The warren was fairly lively today. Everyone seemed to be preparing for an arrival. Heike, who Nicolette still had mixed feelings about, was in the sitting room reading a book and drinking tea. She had watched him pace earlier, which was quite a sight compared to him being calm. She had to admit that he had a fine ass for a Jack. Brushing that dirty thought from her head she hopped down the hallway. Who knew what the Jacks were going to end up discussing. It could have been a trade or it could have been a social visit. She hadn't paid much attention to the manly affairs. She did her hardest to to be a proper Doe, which was a challenge in this warren. Everyone was so... "unique" compared to the Jackalope. He was probably the most normal rabbit in the warren besides the other Avington leveret.... who seemed to get unusual special treatment. This was a weirdly complicated social warren. Nicolette's ears perked when she heard the doorbell. Apparently... she had walked to the front door. Oh well, might as well answer it if no one else was around. It wasn't that weird for a Doe to answer the door. She opened the door and brightly addressed the person behind it, "Hello and welcome to Heike's Warren!"She looked a little surprised by the jack on the other side. Oh man... she might actually get in trouble for this one.

This need. It was making his day to day life an absolute hell. If his situation didn't change soon, he would surely tip over into insanity. His lack of sanity actually seemed to be of some help, when one day he, ahem, procured a rather hefty sack, which turned out to be filled with a large amount of coins, with a few jewels tossed in as well. Upon obtaining this small amount of wealth, he knew he could use it to acquire himself a Doe. Just on the outskirts of Avington, he heard of the Jack that resided there. The one named Heike. Immediately, he wrote a letter to the Jack, expressing that he would like to meet face-to-face. A couple of days later, and he arrived at the Warren. Upon ringing the doorbell, he spent a few seconds straightening his jacket over his lithe form, and mentally telling himself to remain calm. When the door opened, he was greeted by a beautiful clash of colors and a warm welcome. The Sorgaire Jack felt immediately smitten with the gorgeous creature in front of him, and judging by her size, he could only assume that she was a Doe. Her wings were interesting as well, and they only added to her beauty. Looking the Doe in the eye, he bowed, and replied: "Thank you for the welcome. My name is Cornelius, and I am here to see Heike. Please, can you tell him of my arrival? Though first, may I have your name?" ((OOC: I hope this is ok!))

(( OOC: <3 yep, you're good. )) Nicolette was frozen for a moment. She wasn't particularly sure if she liked the way the Jack was looking at her. As pretty as he was something seemed... off. She couldn't quite place it though, and if she was silent for too long she would get in trouble. "Please come in! I can direct you to the waiting room and Mr. Heike will come to meet you." She smiled cheerily. She bowed her head, "My name is Nicolette, Mr. Cornelius, it's an absolutely pleasure to meet you."The Doe would usher the Jack inside, and carefully close the door behind him before ushering him into a side room. He was left alone there only briefly, as the Doe returned with a leveret and a tea trolley. "Mr. Heike's been informed of your arrival, he should be with you shortly." She bowed her head again before departing. It was about five minutes or so before the Avington jack showed up. He entered the room with a fairly unreadable expression. He sized up the other Jack while introducing himself, "I'm sorry if you've been waiting long. I'm obviously Heike, and you must be Cornelius. It's a pleasure to meet you." He offered the Jack his hand. "Shall we get down to business?"

Straightening up, he broke eye contact with the Doe. Locking his eyes with hers seemed to make her uncomfortable, and that was never his intention. He was obviously new at being a Jack, but he didn't want to come off as "odd" in his first important encounter since his transformation.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Nicolette." was the Jack's reply as he followed her to the room where he would wait. She only left him for a few moments before returning with a Leveret and a tea tray in tow. "Thank you kindly." he said to the Doe, before she hopped off and he took a steaming hot cup of tea in his hands from the Leveret.
Just a few sips into his drink, and Heike appeared. Had Cornelius still been a tiny female Leveret, she might have been in awe of the Jack's beautiful coat and those elegant antlers. Instead, being the gentleman he was currently, he set the cup down onto its saucer, stood up and shook the other Jack's outstretched hand.
"Indeed, I am Cornelius. Thank you for meeting with me on such short notice, Heike. Though, before we begin, I must say, the tea you provide here is exquisite." Maybe if he was extremely kind to his host, then he would be able to satisfy his need sooner.
Still standing, he took out the sack of coins hidden behind the tails of his jacket. Placing it on the small table next to his tea cup, he gestured to it while saying: "Yes, let's do business. What I have here is what I can offer to you. That Doe that answered the door; Nicolette was her name. Would you be willing to part with her?"
((*is really hoping she's doing this right*))

(( OOC: <3 you're doing fine. ))
Nicolette was outside of the room with her ear pressed against the door. She wanted to know what was going on, even though it wasn't the proper thing for her to do. The rabbit was careful as she strained her ears to pick up the pieces of the conversation.
Heike, like most Jacks, wasn't fond of other men. And he didn't particularly find himself enamored with this Cornelius fellow. Though that wasn't saying much. The Avington liked a small selection of rabbits.
"It's a blend from the Lakes actually." The rabbit commented as he took a seat after shaking Cornelius's hand.
He raised an eyebrow at the comment about Nicolette. So she had answered the door? Well that was good, considering she was the one Heike needed to get rid of. She didn't fit with the warren. Though he also needed to get rid of Fleur, this Jack definitely didn't have enough to bargain with for a virgin Doe. "Nicolette? She's a bit of an energetic handful. What exactly are you willing to offer for her though?"
