"You're always welcome to visit. I have a nice place in the city. I'd just ask for a little bit of warning since I tend to travel far too often and I wouldn't want you to find yourself alone and confused standing outside my door." She said as she rubbed her hands together a bit more. At least she wasn't that nervous anymore. There was no reason for him to be suspicious of her. She looked convincing, and as long as her wings were bound there wouldn't be any trouble.
She gave him a small nod as he went to speak with one of the other people in the little cabin. She inspected the surrounding area trying to note anything important that would fit into one of her stories. Her toes curled at the thought of all things she was going to get a chance to see.
Oh this was exciting.
The wolf snapped back to reality when Vanja returned. "Oh thank you!" she said as she took the soup that was offered. Slipping it over her shoulder she prepared herself to go.

"I must remember to gather your contact information before we part ways so that I may find you again," Vanja agreed with a small nod, sipping at his own canteen before hanging it from a belt.
He checked that all of his clothes were settled for the bitter change in temperature that would come from leaving the insulated protection of the lodge. Once he felt himself ready, he asked her several simple questions regarding her preparations - local wisdom mostly. If she had traveled through the Glacier, she would be well enough acquainted with the cold, however little she may prefer it.
They had a great deal of daylight in which to travel, for which he felt very grateful. He knew they would reach a common checkpoint at least an hour before night fell. Making peace with a sleep on the barren, rocky land was not something he cared to consider tonight. He did not have all of the necessary preparations for anything resembling a comfortable outdoor stay. There would be dinner and a comfortable bed awaiting them at the end of the day's journey. Then it would be another full day's trek to the priest who had made arrangements with the Hisstor.
During the walk, he asked many questions about the Capital of the kingdoms, which would be his first true stopping point after leaving the Fjords. In turn, he would offer tactful but sincere answers to any questions that she may ask, though some would doubtless have to be deferred for the appropriate authority at the end of their journey.

The Wolf mix nodded rather cheerfully.
The cold wasn't her favorite thing in the world, but it certainly made her alert to her surroundings. She could understand why people could easily get lost in the region. She silently took note of where they were going as they chatted.
She answered the questions about the city truthfully. There wasn't really a point of prettying it up for him, since he would be going there soon. She also hi-lighted a few safe places for him to visit in the City. As for questions she asked him a few things on the various customs of the region, such as food and if there was any traditional methods of dressing for the priests and so forth. She had a long list of curiosities about the realm that could hopefully be satisfied.
"So is there anything you particularly look forward to upon leaving the realm?" Rosemary asked with a note of curiosity.

Rosemary's emphasis on safe versus unsafe areas of the Capital left Vanja wondering what sort of authority could possibly be in place if areas known for things that she described were allowed to go on unchecked. Simply too many people to effectively police? That seemed... well, that was something he would need to see in person to understand the full scope of what she discussed.
In turn, he explained to her the difference in the levels of the priesthood, common garb for priests and others with specific duties for the community, the concept of fasting and feasting, and a few local quirks of mannerism that he knew from his studies were not universal.
Her question gave him a moment's thought and he remained silent for another few steps, climbing a small rocky area because going around the incline would prove more difficult than simply going over it. "Well," he began after another moment, "I look forward to seeing all of the people. We have people of other realms who live here, of course, many of them converts to the truth due to a Missionary's efforts in the past. But there are some realms who would not be welcome here and whose coats I have never seen in person. While I am not necessarily looking forward to meeting their owners, I cannot wait to see them. Hear them speak. The languages fascinate me as well. Access to one of the public libraries will, I have been told, make me very happy."

She liked this place, it was interesting. She would have to tell all the kids about it, though none of them would be able to venture into the place (thankfully). She could just imagine someone coming to smack a righteous book in her face for trespassing.
Her ears perked at Vanja's remark about seeing people. That was a cute thing to look forward to. Hopefully his little bubble wouldn't be popped too badly. He was going to the city, which was filled with all sorts of bizarre people. "Libraries are a great place to start any adventure. And you could probably find almost every realm in one of the libraries in the city. I don't go there was often as I used to, but best thing about libraries is that the crowds don't change very often."
Her tail curled with satisfaction and a bit more curiosity. "Any particular region you're excited to see in person?"
