She shook her head, "You know, I don't think I'd be surprised at all."
She pursed her lips in an effort not to smile, and failed. When he grabbed his tail and gave her those eyes... she just bust out laughing. He'd done a magnificent puppy dog look and Lariel clapped her paws together for a job well done. She realized part of his secret for enjoying life so much was staying young at heart. Had she ever been that way, at all?
She chucked ironically, "I'm not scared of the Outer Bazaar." In fact I'm pretty well known there, she thought. That's where she conducted most of her Black Market dealings.
"Now that sounds like a fantastic plan to me!" she exclaimed, truly getting excited. It had been ages since she'd ever gotten truly excited about anything, let alone meeting with another Card. She tried to stay away from people most of the time, and here she was .... making plans.
"I think walking with a cup of joe in our hands on our way to a good restaurant sounds absolutely brilliant," she confirmed with yet another smile. "Do you want to meet across from the restaurant you're talking about and walk around until we find a nice cafe within a small distance?"

Part of his secret to mastering that puppy dog look was being of the canine persuasion, but he wasn't about to admit that since it seemed to work quite well. He simply released his tail and grinned broadly at her. She was definitely more fun then he remembered her being, which was pretty awesome actually. It was nice to see her laugh and smile a little more.
Oh, I didn't think you would be. I just thought it would be fair to warn you beforehand. You never know, really.
He'd never run into too much trouble in the outer bizarre quite yet. A few things he'd like to forget, but nothing serious. He was pretty sure his full siblings had some horror stories though. Vesper's were probably mostly started by her temper though. Where she got that he didn't think he'd ever know.
Mmmm, I think cafe first. There's a nice one a couple streets down. We can get something to go, enjoy the bizarre a little and then get some food.
Sounded like a fun day to him, fun in a laid back sort of manner. He had a feeling he'd have to ease Lariel into this fun thing a little bit at a time.
He gave her the name of the Cafe, the address, or what he knew of it anyhow .... street name and rough location.
Unfortunately, I must take my leave. The family will be expecting me anytime now.
He twitched his tail and ears before flashing her a little smile and half bow. He hoped the little fence that surrounded the outside tables of the cafe before stopping ot give her a little wave and moving quickly into the busy streets, his bright coat soon blending in with the others in the market today.
[[ We know what happened via tickets, and they've had a few more nice little dates after that, you can go ahead and skip ahead to the fun parts next <3 ]]
