Kaden watched Xiven from the corner of his eye as they made their way through the Court, taking in the woman fully. He was really chatting with The Queen of Hearts, huh? It was hard to register, really, that she was so different from him. She seemed normal enough, though she held herself with the pride of it.
"Nothing special, I suppose. Dad's always raving about the Court of Hearts and Peaches and," he glanced to Xiven and grinned, "and he's mentioned you too actually. Since Peaches is always saying we're around the same age, I suppose?" Kaden just lacked a lot of the maturity Xiven did. Oops. Grinning on as he spoke, the bird mutt continued on casually. "So I came to see it all first hand since Dad was coming by anyway to visit with Peaches."
Apparently there was a lot of chaos going on around the court previously but now things were settled enough where it was relatively safe to venture in.
"I'm not a politician or anything, I don't have the head for that, but it's bloody cool to be here." Especially considering he was a Club, but no one needed to know that right away. "Mostly I live in Corvistowne, so y'know... fancy buildings and gardens aren't really very common."

Xiven never would have guessed they were the same age. From the way he acted she would have assumed he was younger. A lot younger. Maybe that was just the way he spoke? She shifted her weight as she listened to him speak.
So Hatter spoke of her? Really? Herm. That was interesting. Maybe her Mother was actually proud about her being the Queen of Hearts. That would be novel concept wouldn't it?
"Well, Welcome. I'm glad it's more than you expected." She said with a shrug. "I've never been to Corvistowne, I've only heard about the state of it from friends who had actually been there. And my mother of course."
She stopped for a few moments, staring out at the garden where she usually had lunch with her King. No... she wasn't going to go there now. What if she ran into him? She continued to to walk. "There's a smaller garden around here if you would like... I think anyway." She decided to continue having a conversation to make this entire situation less awkward. "If you're not a politician what do you do?"

Kaden bounced as he walked, eagerly taking in the scenery of non-decay. Even when he visited Capital he was never in upscale places for very long and when he was it rarely went well.
"It's a great place, I think... but a whole different world from here. Lots of urban decay, very little nature..." They walked on, passing through one section of the garden to the other as they spoke.
'Oh, I'm a thief...' Yeah, no, that didn't sound like the most brilliant answer. Did he do anything official then... Real work? After a few moments he just gave up on the concept. "Officially? ...Nothing, but I do help my mum out around her Bed 'n' Breakfast sometimes, when she hasn't banned me... I have a problem with trouble." He flashed a wide avian grin that dripped of mischief but quickly tucked that part of himself back under the rug. He was here to just look, Hatter had told him to behave...

"Urban decay huh?" She repeated as she continued to lead the way. Her entire life she had grown up in the palace. And when she wasn't here she was in the capital or... some place in the Highlands. The highly ornate designers weren't particularly thrilling, but they seemed better than the idea of urban decay.
Then again she probably wasn't going to travel all the way to Corvistowne to be realistic.
He seemed to struggle with the answer to her question. Did he not have a respectable job or was he just distracted by his surroundings? Did she really want to know the answer to either of those questions? He was related to Hatter and there was a chance he took strongly after him.
And there it was.
"Well, it's nice to know that your mother has a respect for the quality of her Bed and Breakfast," She commented with a smile. "And here we are, this is one of the smaller gardens, a bit more than roses here, but I think you still have a good idea of what the other gardens look like around here."
