((Kristoff and the two strange girls will be moving off to the center of the Capital. As they approach the broader streets leading to the outer bazaar's main street, they begin to smell acrid smoke, and...something terrible...disgusting and rotten...
Neviah begins to feel rather nauseated, bloated and disgusting as Fate begins to feel a little weak... The smell becomes overpowering and some faded shouts and other voices can be heard in the distance.
The remainder of the group will be heading off to the Palace of Hearts. If you have interest in continuing, then have one of your group of three PM me and I will keep them in the plot in a new thread. If not, then continue on your own after the contest has ended. Fully expect Helena to end up with one half of a messy Glasgow smile as it took so long to get her any attention.))

Menefer wasn't quite ready for the abrupt change in parties... the whole thing started to confuse him more and more as he watched the driver sell the Pale man drive away towards some other destination... Good ridence... Abusive person he is, I hope he has a grand adventure! he said as he looked away and started walking with the others. He may achieve his biped... but he would never allow himself to become human... all the ones he had met was just down right nasty.
He looked to the others with him... confused and not knowing who he was traveling with, so he cleared his throat.
"I'm Menefer by the way... and your names?" he said as he moved down the darken streets, the lights flickering above making shadows dancing in every corner of the allies and side streets... it was as if they were walking on a path of light... and all around was just darkness... a place where he really didn't want to go. He had already visited it... and... he was scared of what he had thought about those two bodies... that was when his sensitive nose picked up something...
Smoke... something rotting... something he couldn't make taste or smell better... He wondered where it came from, and so he followed his nose. "A nose of a cook can bring them to success" his teacher once told him.

The two girls blinked, surprised, surprised by the swift turns of events. They could insist that the King of Hearts bring them, though Fate had stared in awe at this figure of mystery that Enyo had told them all about. And, as the man turned back, carrying dead bodies into the carriage, well, she just couldn't help but take a quick peek to find out if the whip had been telling the truth.
Yep. He had a very fine rear end.
Just as quickly, the glass girl was appalled and embarrassed by her thoughts, especially in such a dark, and sad time.
Neviah flicked her ears back, unable to believe that this. . . man was daring to leave them with this. . . thing. It hardly spoke properly, and it was smelly and, and. . .big and ugly and scary. The deer shivered, pushing closer to Fate, but the Card of glass was hardly anymore comforting.
She assumed the Torque was speaking to the Golfam-- they weren't to speak to strangers, after all, her father had taught her properly-- and she simply stood near the only person she knew.

Menefer noticed that the two younger ones hadn't responded to what he had said. He should have looked back and asked them because the two of them, Kristof and he had already exchanged names when they rode up front together. So he paused a bit and looked to the two girls.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't specify who I was talking to, my name is Menefer, I'm the cook for a prestigious hotel here." he said as he picked up that scent again. He smiled some and turned his head back to the direction and continued down the street, finally noticing that a few more streets down was his hotel that he worked and lived out of.
Maybe they could stop there? It would be nice and they might even be able to figure something out there... or find that, well he just didn't quite know what he would find.

Irritation was still the main game of Kristoff's mind. He hadn't wanted to give up the carriage, not really. He'd stolen it fair and square, after all, and he didn't see why he should give it up! His fur stood crookedly on end as they walked, and he said nothing, all of his focus on his bad mood.
This just sucked. He wanted to bring these girls back to the Marsh for his Meecha, but he could already tell that there was no way the goodie-two-shoes Torque was going to let him do that. People who were wrapped up in nobility and doing the "right thing" missed the best thing so often. It was a real shame, or it would be if he cared a lick for any of them. His ear twitched irritably as Menefer tried to get the girls to talk, and was met only with silence.
That also pissed him off.
The feline rounded on the girls and he hissed at them, eyes narrowing. "Yew lot be'er not be ignorin' 'im![/b]" He snarled, claws unsheathing. "'e afked yew a queftion, yea'? 'e coulda juft left yew boff ta rot back f'ere, an' 'e di'n't. Ftho fome refpect![/b]"
