Rosewood was still curled into a ball. He heard Zenon loud and clear but he didn't particularly feel inclined to get up at the moment. He peered out from under his wings cautiously.
It came back. The swan made a strangled sound as he pulled himself from his protective ball. His feathers ruffled as it... it spoke. Of all the things he expected it to do he didn't expect that, and the sight of blood and foam hitting the floor. Oh suits, this was a horrible hallucination. He edged towards the door, still facing the apparition he would probably need a proper push to make it out of the door.
Everything was falling apart rather nicely, wasn't it? Conall quietly watched the chaos. Apparently they were going now. Good to know. The Doctor Lady seemed furious about the whole affair. He glanced to the young canine. "We should probably get going before she gets too mad."
When he turned to follow the others out the door he noticed... something. Something was splashing on the floor. His brow furrowed. "Is that...blood?" He pointed, however unhelpful it would be to the splatter that seemed to be showing up on the floor. He was purposely moving towards the door and keeping his eye on the spot. He didn't want to stay any longer, but something appearing on the floor out of thin air seemed important to point out considering the goo and such.

Arkady's eyes widened as the Corvie started totally flipping out. Oh, that was not good at all. So it was face certain death in here...or uncertain death on the street. The thought that the street was the better option here was absolutely terrifying. The fact that Rosewood still looked horrified, despite the fact that he'd previously been the most collected in their whole party, unnerved him more than he could say. But when Conall suggested they leave...well. It really was the only option.
"She's already mad," he mumbled shakily to Conall, and hopped off the table to walk beside the other boy on the way out. It was still so weird that the Boggie didn't know who he was. But at least he wasn't just cowering in the corner and telling everyone to go away from them now. He paused, most of the way to the door, when Conall spoke again. He turned...and saw blood dripping out of thin air to land on the ground. Okay, THAT was...well, he'd think he was hallucinating, if it hadn't been Conall that pointed it out.
But it was the last sign the Coyote needed to get out of that lab, and fast. The street was now oddly quiet, but Ark stopped to look around anyway. He didn't see anything, but that didn't mean there was nothing there.

Conall watched in mild alarm as Arkady bolted out of the door. He made a small sound before hurrying after him. He bumped into the rather dazed swan on his way out.
Outside wasn't much better. It was almost like they were in a completely different dimension. It wasn't supposed to be this silent. The city was never quiet even at night. He shivered rather violently as he took to standing near a wall and half in shadows.
Rosewood was terribly alarmed by just about everything. But the fact that someone else could see the foam and blood probably meant that what he was seeing was somewhat real. Or they were sharing a partial hallucination which seemed just as unlikely. The logical part of him wanted to analyze what was happening, while the other simply wanted to explode in panic.
He was pushed into the door frame on Conall's exit, snapping back to something that could be called reality. He was still quite flustered by the monster that was now talking. Ranting. Not going away. Rosewood hopped out onto the street and took to the air almost immediately.
Even if he could still hear the monster at the very least he could be away from it. He circled in the air waiting for the group to move. And at least he could get a somewhat decent view of the surrounding area and if people were around.
.... What wasn't good enough though?

Farran’s apparent revulsion was now tainted with fear and confusion. The horrible smell had been bad enough, on top, of course, of the fact that everything was going haywire. Rosewood lying crumpled on the floor completely rattled the feline; the other boys were jumpy and probably just as frightened as he was. Save for Dr. Zenon, who was boiling mad and shoving them all through the door. Then Conall just had to point out the horror that Farran was about to step into. He backpedaled into the doctor as droplets of blood fell disjointedly from a fixed point in the air to splatter very visibly on the floor.
What the hell is going on?!
He sprang back into the barely-contained remains of the laboratory and reached for the abandoned broom. It wasn’t much, but it wasn’t like he had a Heart’s pain ability or anything. He very much doubted he could talk his way out of anything else that came their way. Just having a "weapon" of some sort was its own small comfort.
Farran patted Rosewood’s shoulder absent-mindedly as he passed, as he wasn’t exactly feeling in the comforting mood, and made to exit the laboratory under the Corvie’s insistent glare. The Villa squeezed himself back out the door, keeping himself crammed against the doorjamb as he eased around the spot where a small pool of blood was forming. He couldn’t help but stare at the space the blood originated from, though no matter how long he looked nothing appeared before his eyes.
Blood dripping from the sky. Great. Just great.
Clutching the broom tightly, he surveyed the surroundings for anything untoward that might bring harm to the ragtag group. He remembered the weird dragging sound from earlier and made to stand close to the boys, though what he really wanted was to be the one being protected and not the other way around. A glance across the street toward the police station proved that it was still dark and locked up tight as it had been before. His eyes grew wide as a sudden stroke of inspiration hit him.
I think I’m going to test Dr. Rosewood’s theory on those alarm spells…
Without waiting for feedback, Farran ran across the street and up the front steps of the station, spun the broom around so he held the brush end then jabbed the wooden handle toward a particularly vulnerable window.

Arkady didn't move much away from the door, watching as the others came out to join him. The Coyote's heart was pounding with fear, his ears pressed back against his head, and the smell...OH the smell...he shivered, feeling cold and hungry and dirty and frightened. What an absolutely miserable day this was turning out to be. He wished his sister were here. He wished Castiel were here. They'd know what to do a lot better than he, and he thought he could muster up the will to push away the fear if it was one of them he was protecting. From what, he didn't know.
Instinctively, he moved a bit closer to Conall. They may have had their disagreements in the past, and he may have found the other boy a bit gross, but right now the scythes on his back seemed a comfort. He opened his mouth to ask what they should even do now when Farran decided to dart across the street to a dark building. Ark's eyes widened. "Farran! What are you doing? C-come back!" Now was hardly the time to make oneself a large, moving, colorful target! Not after those weird sounds earlier.

The swan watched from above, still terribly distracted by the monster ranting. A villa. Something that could have been a cat. Was it related to Farran? It did seemed to be attached to him... but the idiot boy seemed oblivious to just about everything. How could he be related to something so terrible?
Why wasn't it going away? And the others could see the blood and... none of this made sense!
His attention snapped back to reality when the cat darted across the street and jammed the broom end into the window. The swan frowned as he flew a bit higher. The dim light of the streets illuminated nothing. There didn't seem to be anyone in the general area besides them.
Conall gave Arkady an awkward look as he edged closer. Well, if the boy wanted to get closer to him it was probably a good thing. Safety in numbers? Maybe.
He watched silently as Farran darted across the street to break a window.
Lingering longer wouldn't accomplish anything would it? And Dr. Zenon needed to do blood tests and... what about that thing that had been outside? He decided to start walking towards where they were supposed to go. He didn't want to wait for something to happen, he wanted to get fixed.
Or something.
Anything was better than standing around and being terrified by everything from the smell to the horror of not knowing what was around him.

((Goodness, it appears that jab has knocked a few things loose, Farran! Best go and gather them, lads. Fight over them; Kari? Due to the prize-dump in the other thread, I would prefer you took one or none this time around unless there is something you're desperate for or fits too perfectly. Thank you<3.
Old Broom Handle: Well, this seemed to fall from the ceiling! It hits one of the people nearby on the head and as it does, they become aware of two things. One: they've been cursed. They are no longer able to leave a doorway or enter one without smashing some part of themselves on the door-frame. No matter how coordinated they become, from here on out, they are unable to overcome this issue. Two: Once a week, they are able to cause one SD ranked King or lower to feel as though they have been thawcked hard over the head with a broom handle. This is exceedingly painful, but not debilitating.
Copper Nail File: This thin copper file seems to have just turned up on the floor... Odd. It tingles to the touch and allows the one who touched it to, once a week, cause 5 pounds of heavy copper coins to rain from the sky all around them for a solid minute. These coins hail down with some force and getting hit by a few will cut and bruise something awful, but hey...free money!
Thin Piece of Straw: This tiny piece of straw has gotten caught in someone's hair! Oh no! Their entire head tingles magically for a moment before they become aware that, once a week, they are able to cause another SD to feel as though a bat or rat is caught in their hair or on top f their head with glue, for a full five minutes. Though there is nothing truly there.

((Would lieks the straw, pleaaaaase? <333))
Outside was better by far. The woman took a deep breath to try and settle herself, though it really didn't do a damn bit of good. Things had gone from irritating to bad to terrible in less than an hour, and now... Now there was blood appearing out of nowhere and spattering across the ground, as much as the woman tried to ignore it. She scraped the ground with her talons, a quiet growl escaping her.
That grow turned into another feral-sounding caw-snarl when Farran suddenly broke the window of the Police station. She started to tremble.
All the people she was with were maniacs, or just plain stupid. Or children. Annoying little children.
This was just not going well. Zenon hissed, glaring at everyone in the group. "I hate all of you,[/b]" she said in an offhanded sort of way, with none of her Diamond Charm acting to lessen the impact of the words. Of course, she probably didn't really mean it, but she had to do something to get the rage out. "Just - just wait here for a minute, don't... Don't move. Make sure that thing doesn't come back.[/b]" Carefully, she scooped up a few rocks.
She pulled her wings tight to her body and activated her Diamond ability for flight, rising effortlessly into the air. She could fly with her wings, of course, but that involved a hell of a lot of flapping and work. Not only that, but the entryway was... small. When she'd reached the level of the window she threw the rocks at the glass remnants that surrounded the portal. Then, feeling confident that it was wide enough for her body to slip through, she hooked her claws into the wood and directed herself through it with a mighty heave.
There were still a few pointy bits of glass that projected out, but they only scraped her through her thick coat, and she was able to ignore the pain. Before looking around, she made her way to the door, opening it from the inside. When it swung open, she glowered out at the rest of the group.

(( Great idea with the window, Xenon!! I PM'd Lucca and we're okay with you having the straw. I'll be taking the broom handle as it is deliciously appropriate! XD ))
Farran had just heard a satisfying CRACK! when he suddenly realized what it meant. He dropped his improvised weapon and threw his paws over his head as a shower of glass and other debris rained upon him. A few shards had left him with shallow cuts across his nose, but the rest of him appeared to be intact. Well, that certainly could have gone better. No alarm sounded, but oh well.
He cautiously lowered his limbs when another CRACK! issued, but this time as something smacked smartly across his skull.
OWWW!!!
About to rub his head, the Villa became uncomfortably aware that something had gone terribly wrong. He had been cursed. The feline was acutely aware of this fact as though someone had given him instructions; knew that he would no longer be able to safely navigate doorways and that he could weekly cause others to feel the pain he had just experienced. His eyes found the object that had struck him – it was just a broom handle, much like the one he had just been holding, but it had managed to hit the very spot where the monstrous King Mephit had landed a blow not so very long ago. He whimpered and massaged his tender head, careful of the stitches Dr. Zenon had sewn, as the painful throbbing from earlier began once more.
He frowned slightly in confusion (but mostly self-pity) at the Corvie’s comment. What had he done to her?? He was the one in pain and cursed and everything. The Villa backed up with a sulky expression as the other Diamond shooed him away from the mess so she could fly through the smashed window to let them in through the front.
Farran glanced back toward his companions with a slightly cowed, but still defiant expression as he carefully collected his trusty broomstick from the mess (wary of touching any other unlucky items) and tilted his head toward the door where the doctor waited.
Well, at least we got in…

((I took the nail file then. Hope that's okay!))
Arkady winced as the noise of shattering glass rang out through the night, followed closely by screeching from the Corvie. She was mean, wasn't she? Arkady's ears pressed flat against his head, and he had no idea what he had done to make her -hate- him...he whimpered, just wanting all this to be over, and watched as Conall started walking away. This was all just...a mess. A horrible mess he had no other words for. Arkady shivered and watched distantly as Zenon opened the door to the station for them. Well...there was nowhere else to go, and he sure didn't want to hang around until whatever was bumping and scraping around outside the lab came for them.
Though...what if the goal of whatever-it-was was to get inside the lab, and now that it was ungaurded it would do so and make the scary doctor even angrier? Well. That wasn't really Ark's problem. He been trying to help clean the lab up, and was being yelled at for it. Cautiously, the Coyote walked across the street, keeping his ears perked and eyes wide for any signs of life. Finding nothing, he walked into the station with a mixture of relief and worry, careful of the glass that still littered the floor.
He looked around, but the main room of the station was empty and dark, desks and chairs set up normally. He started to walk further into the room, and stepped on something that sent an odd tingle up his paw. He yelped in surprise and blinked down at what seemed to be a nail file. It gleamed dully red in the dim light from outside, and Arkady picked it up curiously. Apparently it was magical and had just given him an ability? Well, he might as well take it with him. "There's no one here," he whispered, wincing as it seemed loud in the empty room. "What now?"
