Possibly not an idea that people would be into, but eh, always worth throwing it out there. Right? I mean, we've had bunches of us meet in person and all that. We're not shy. xD
Would anybody be interested in doing a Secret Santa swap of sorts? If you're not familiar with the premise, it involves putting your name on a list, making or buying a present and mailing it out to a random person, and receiving a present from a different random person, hopefully all in time for Christmas. It does mean that you have to give out your real world address and whatnot, and there would be little rules to it for peoples' sanity and protection, but yeah.
Interest, or nah?
Update: Looks like there's enough interest to at least get a small party started! In the interest of expediency, and to give people time to make things happen, I'm posting info here.
The signup deadline for the swap will be November 23, 2010. That gives everyone a week from today to decide.
The deadline for sending gifts will be Saturday, December 4th. That should give enough time for everyone to receive their gifts in time for Christmas.
Rules:
1) Do NOT sign up if there's a possibility you will not be able to send out your gift. If you sign up and something unforeseeable comes up that prevents you from fulfilling your agreement, please, contact Jenn immediately!
2) Spending bracket will be $15-20, as many of us are reasonably po'. If you want to spend more, feel free.
3) Gifts can be handmade, or store bought.
4) Have fun!
