Note: This trading post is in game and for characters only. The post that will involve IRL trading will be opening at a later date.
Further down a long stretch of ally, past the spiraling mass of an apothecary stands a thick, broken hull of a building. Plain, cracked, old, and worn, the building is filled with myriads of people trying to trade their wares to others...perhaps you have what someone is looking for...perhaps they have something you desire. Look around, ask about...there's bound to be someone who has what you want...and wants what you have...
------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules of the trading post:
1) No points will be gained from posting to this board, you can play in character if you want to, by all means, have fun X3, but you will not gain RP or meeting points in this area.
2) You can only trade items that you/your critters own, not items or money you own in real life. Board trades only.
3) You may not trade grown SD. If you want to black market a baby PM Nathalia first...perhaps we shall allow black market baby brokering if the situation you describe allows <3
4) a) You may only trade items, no "money" and no points. If you are caught trying to bribe someone with points for an item, you will be banned from using this board.
4) b)You can trade points, or use points in addition to the trade if you want to trade with the admin (Nathalia/Cauter only) This is the only time that points may be used.
5) If you want an item no longer available (ex: the red vial of liquid available as a special prize in November) at the top of you post, in bold, type expired item. You may be able to obtain it
6) If you want to try to trade an item to Cauter in exchange for something in his shoppe/an item that doesn't yet exist/you made up; type Cauter in bold at the top of your post. Remember that he has every right to refuse you, or to get you an item that's only as powerful as he sees being worthy of the half of the trade you have offered him.
7) You may trade items you have purchased, pets (Toves, Momes, and Banders), special items, and items received for birthday presents. All are fair game, make sure that the item you are asking for/being offered exists prior to your exchange though. <3 (Either with a picture, link to thread where it was awarded, or link to the birthday thread).
8) Do not double trade items (Trading away the same item again, after you have already traded it to someone else.) This board will be monitored and if you are caught double trading all of your items will be taken away and you will no longer be permitted to use this board.
9) Have fun and I hope you all find what you are looking for. <3

An older human man sat behind one stall, obviously a temporary placement rather than a permanent booth like some other merchants and traders possessed. He had staked out this spot for the day and had a leather bag sitting empty on the ground beside him. He wore a human form, small spectacles perched on his nose and piercing Tulgey eyes glancing around at anyone who passed, at once appraising them and guarding his possessions. There were plenty of people who might be interested in pocketing the items he had for trade.
By his dress, he was obviously a mage of some kind, and his rank was hidden by his richly colored robes. For all that, he seemed to be a rather eccentric old man, pockets filled with papers and scrolls and who knew what else.
On the wooden table in front of him sat three items: a small vial of red liquid, a thin silver flask with a very tiny amount of liquid inside, and a small, pale blue silk handkerchief rolled into a cylinder. He stroked the bit of silk absently, obviously a favor, and kept an eye out for anyone who might be interested in what he had to sell. All were valuable items, though the flask and the vial were worth far more than their meager weight in gold. He was in no hurry to sell them. No, he was more curious what people might offer him in exchange.
((OOC: Vren is willing to trade some very potent items here. Some of you may recognize the November and December prizes for 101 posts. The first was obtained in the Lowlands quest and the second in the Love Me quest. The third item is a purity favor, obviously of high quality. I am not interested in tokens, only in items. Please don't be mad if I'm not interested in your offer. Please make any offers in character. Remember, no points for posting here!))

((OOC: Also, Vren is now offering one of the February prizes as well:
A small stoppered flask containing what looks to be swirling white smoke: If inhaled, it could grant an SD some fairly amazing powers... Can only be used once on one SD. No physical effects will be seen, only a power gained.))

Wulfram had passed the old mage by before, had spoken to him about some of the items that laid on his table, and finally felt like he had a proper offer for him. He didn't want common gold, apparently, only an exchange of the same value. The crow's red orbs slid back to fall upon the three broken forms behind him. Obnoxious little brats, but at least they had learned to stop crying around him. He wasn't going to put up with it, dead mother or not. They'd be better off without that weak little finch anyway, better off away from him too. So he stopped in front of Vren's table with the trio of children and cut quickly to the chase. "Vould you be interested in tradink zree assistants," he motioned toward the children standing obediently behind him and then went on, "for ze red vial zere?"With all under the fear that the scary Tugley would rip out their sister's bindings if they misbehaved, he was silently assured that they'd give this man no trouble. If anything, he would just have to give the man the same assurance of behavior.

The old human's eyes slid down to regard the three children this man had presented as a trade for one of his precious vials. They were birds all three of them, and two looked to be crows and half-Tulgey. His eyebrows rose slightly. Attractive children, even though all of them were bound, and two being half of his own region made them more attractive specimens. "I suppose that would be a fair trade," he mused. "The bindings will make them less useful, but for all three I believe the vial would be a fair trade. So nice to find a fellow Tulgey out here in this busy, noisy city." Crimson eyes flicked up to meet Wulfram's and Vren smirked slightly. Standing next to his sister, the third child kept his wings tucked and his head low, shivering slightly with fear. He'd watched this man kill their mother and threaten their sister's life. He wasn't going to say anything to raise the strange human's ire.

[Argh, on my boyfriend's dialup, pic will come later >_>]
Sekhmet strolled purposefully up to the eleganty dressed man, noting with amusement how easily he made himself found. Well, it's not like he had anything to hide from, though some people might be desperate enough to attack him for the fabulous things it was said he possessed. She spotted a few things that caught her interest and took out the orange potion from her bag.
"Excuse me there, would you perhaps be interested in a trade for this fine potion? It guarantees a high rank for any children you might have, or anyone else if you chose to trade it off. I have little use for it myself..." She smiled at this, shrugging and hoping he would not the K on her chest which indicated that due to her own ambition, her children would all probably share fairly high ranks. She might have given the potion to a friend, but knowing no one else who had much court ambition, she thought she might as well get something out of it.
"I like power and pretty things for myself and my children. Have anything up that alley that you'd be willing to make a trade for?" Her children were not only growing up, but growing away from her. She didn't intend to buy their affection, but she realized she hadn't been the greatest mother, and if she could give something to them that would make their lives better, well she definately owed it to them.
She noted, then, the mage was standing before another customer and... children? Hmmm that might work out well. "Pardon me." She said to the group, hoping she hadn't interrupted a deal.

That was very much the response Wulfram had expected but it pleased him nonetheless. He got what he wanted on all ends: riddance of the children and the vial he'd been asked to purchase.
"Very goot. Zey shall be perfectly vell behaved." He glanced back at the three children with a look in his red eyes that none of them could mistake for anything but the threat it was.
When he returned his attention to Vren, a smile twisted his expression a little and he bowed his head. "It ist e rare pleasure." For all that his appearance could be harsh and unnerving, he was undeniably pleased to have encountered another Tugley. He would be the only one in this bazaar suitable of taking these spawn. "I hope you find e goot use for zem."
All three children were exceptionally subdued, but the finch was by far the most terrified. She had learned quickly what pain her bindings caused and, after her mother's death, she even even more fully what fate could befall her. Her siblings knew too, and they were as silent and fearful as she. Terrified into obedience beneath the man that had destroyed their family.
The Tugley peered across at the woman who had addressed the mage as well and nodded casually and without much interest. His deal was set and done and he'd be leaving soon regardless of her interruption.

Vren reached down and picked up the red vial carefully, pulling a handkerchief out of his pocket and wrapping it before handing it to Wulfram. "That can be used in quite a variety of ways, so take care to know what you're going to do with it before you unstopper the bottle," he warned the pale human, eyes flicking down to the children once more. Parzifal gazed up at him with frightened red eyes, only five years old and not understanding a lot of what had just happened. What was going on? He moved over to stand near the unknown human when indicated, half-hovering next to his sister in worry. The older man's gaze rose when he heard yet another voice directed towards him. One eyebrow raised as he regarded the vial in her hand. He made no notice of her rank, not surprise or dismay or anything else, just considered what she had said. "None of the things I have on this table seem like they would count as 'pretty things', Miss," he said after a moment. "Also, I don't necessarily plan on having children myself, and many of my friends and acquaintances have already gotten their litters out of the way."((Translation: I'm not sure if I want that item, since I have a lot of high-ranking characters already. ^^ Also, I really don't think there's anything he has that would prettify any of Sek's kids. I know one for a fact has a 50% chance of making them look pretty messed up.))

A mix of regions and breeds, the winged canine/gerbil walked confidently down the way to sit down a short ways from the man already at the Trading Post. She held a leash and tugged along an Ace behind her. They settled in and the avian turned to show a sign hanging around his neck: For Sale or TradeThe woman pulled out a book, now ignoring her charge and waiting for someone with an offer to come by. (( For those who don't know, this is another Ace from my commissions. i have no plans for him wotsoever and thus am willing to 'auction him off', as it were. *Shrugs* i'm pretty open about him. xD; Info: here. Scroll way down. xD;; ))
