" That wasn't very nice of you,[/b]" the man commented from the bench he was sitting on, raising his head to look at the Esterberry. The guitar he had been playing was eased down, resting in his lap. He was grinning when he spoke to her, but the whiskers on either side of his mouth were pulled in ever so slightly. It was a sign of disapproval. " Didn't look that old. Mighta been clumsy, yeah, but. All the same, it's always better to lend a helping hand. Get yourself some good karma, y'know?[/b]" The lizard smiled widely at the Esterberry woman. He was more than certain that his advice would irritate her even more, but he didn't really mind. He looked back at the guitar he held, running his fingers across the strings. He'd give her a moment to respond, and if she said nothing, he'd return to his playing. He was having a rather good day already, and the money in the case in front of him spoke of that fact in volumes. " 'sides, free food is free food, even if you hafta put up with a kid to get it.[/b]"

People. More people. What the hell was with all the commenting bystanders. Her eye twitched yet again as she looked at the man strumming his guitar. That wasn't a region you saw everyday... and weren't they notorious for being... weird?
Oh regional stereotypes had been so very wrong before. So this was probably just another one that was.
"My mother always said that people will like you more if you help yourself. He clearly needed to do things himself. You shouldn't desperately cling to people who out right insult you and clearly want to have nothing to do with you." Penny said with a snort as she looked the man up and down.
She never really saw a lizard before. They were pretty interesting.
"I would rather starve. Who knows what he could put in the food when I wasn't looking. And frankly, being a poor college student, I know how to live without food." She said as she rearranged her pack, reaching inside for something. Pulling out a gold coin she balanced it between her paws. She flicked it, aiming for the bench besides the lizard. "There, something for the advice, if you need it or not, that's all the good karma I have."
Rearranging her bags let again she went to slink off, not waiting for any sort of response.

He was a gentleman, by his own opinion. Suave and good looking, slick-back mane and a smile ladies would kill to have aimed at them. He licked his teeth and strut forward. He'd been watching the entire interaction. Not a very attractive thing, that girl. But hey, someone had to take pity on the ugly ones, right?
"Hello there, young lady," growled the Corvistownian Canine playfully. His crooked gold-capped teeth being far outshone by his oily hair. A wave of foul odor akin to fetid swamp water wafted toward the Esterberry with each exhale. "What a jerk that guy was, eh? You must be tense, how about I relax you a little. Come on down to my place... or right behind that dumpster if you'd like," he chuckled. Then he was refused. Rudely. He scowled. "That was rude, doncha think? I am most definitely..." and she snapped at him again. He was getting pissed off now. He bumped her roughly with his shoulder and growled, "Hey, Esterberry bitch, don't talk to me like that! Think you're too good for me, huh?!"

Things couldn't get worse. Or so she thought. It was a rather large surprise when she ran into a Corvie. What a disgusting region. They did such awful things to themselves and thought it was something so brilliant. Unlike her parents she had no respect for them.
And this one was a jackass. And no matter how many times she refused he just kept on going. And now the asshat was using physical violence against her. The dog deer knew full well that she wasn't capable of taking on someone like this physically. In all honesty she was probably going to get her ass handed to her. Great. Thanks life. Take your karma and shove it up your ass.
She growled as she tried to back up. Of course no one was going to help and ugly duck like her. Her ears pulled back as her paws dug into the ground. "I don't want to waste my time with an idiot Corvie like you. Take your pity fuck somewhere else."

His eyes widened and he snarled. He knocked her down and she was still dishing out the insults! This bitch was gonna pay. He'd show her how to submit properly to the superior being. His muscles bunched, preparing to pounce. Like some sort of conveniently-placed Mary Sue, Hadrian came across the pair. For a second his mouth hung open, processing that this, was in fact, what he was seeing. Then his ears shot back and eyes narrowed. He let out a very noisy growl and stalked toward the pair. That combined with his large bulk and rather tall bright blue mohawk. The Corvistowne just shrank. A Solandrian... growling and looking straight at him. What in the hell did he want?! "Miss, is this man bothering you?" he asked, never taking his eyes off the slimebag in front of him. Hadrian stood at his full height, fur on end, ears came forward and tail straight up in a rather frightening (and rare) display of dominance. The other man was visibly shaking at this point. [Mwaha]

It was like out of some romance novel. From the shadows emerged a strong and powerful hero from such a rare region. Her heart skipped a beat with joy as she tried her hardest to keep her composure.
"Why yes, Sir, he is bothering me. Thank you for being so kind and asking!" She said, flashing the nicest smile she could muster considering the circumstances combined with being flustered.
Today was one hell of a day, to say the very least. At least she could go back to Esterberry and tell the few peers she actually associated with that this crazy weird happened to her. They would probably get a massive kick out of it. She certainly thought that this was completely unbelievable, even though she was experiencing it. Hopefully this Solandrian wasn't in on some crazy plot to get her alone and knock her out with drugs. Of course... as long as she walked away with her wallet she supposed it wouldn't be a bad day.
