Malch felt like crap. This wasn't a particularly unusual happening. Considering that every noon he would have to deal with a rather unfortunate nightmare. And now he didn't have anything to eat at his apartment. So he decided to visit his favorite niece and nephew. Which was probably a very lame thing to do. Bumming food off of younger people was probably one of the worst low points in his life. It was hard to maintain a job with his ability, and it was hard to work after he had the spells. It was hard to actually walk after the spells. Man he should have listened to Ez. He knocked on the door lightly, waiting for someone to answer it. He felt like his throat was going to fall out. And he was feeling dizzy. What was wrong with his heart anyway? He leaned on the door frame as he waited. Today needed to get better....

Radz was poking around for a few things. Still being terribly handicapped by being blind made experimenting difficult. He still had to deal with Eurwen and her moody days, which always happened like clock work once a month. Mom said it was normal for a teenager, personally he thought her mood swings were worthy of therapy. On the bright side, despite her bad mood she had decided to help him out today. Myron hovered like he normally did. It wasn't like he could change his habits. Radz was a little more accepting of him recently. Eurwen was as hostile as ever. 'It's a little to the left,' he commented The mouse hybrid actually took his advice. Eurwen was pouring the particular chemicals into the "proper" containers that wouldn't cause horrible lab accidents. Sometimes she couldn't help but wonder why she still helped her brother. Khloris was more interested in the chemical sort of things. And she was probably more able bodied at throwing chemicals together. But she was always busy. Eurwen poked at one of the substances. And then there was the knock on the door. "I'll get it." She said scurrying to open it.

Malch felt dizzy. Why did he feel dizzy? He had had plenty of water before leaving, right? Maybe it was just low blood sugar.
The door opened, and his feathers fluffed up slightly from being startled. He glanced downwards at his terribly short niece. They weren't technically related by blood but most of his family didn't care about that sort of thing.
They were, after all, all "related" to Theofilus.
"Hey Eurwen," he said after a moment, "What'th up? Mind if I come in?"
That didn't sound quite right. He covered it up with a smile and waited for Eurwen to invite him in. When she did he shuffled in, a bit wobbly. "Hey.... Radz," he wasn't even going to attempt to say the boy's full name. It was too long on the best of days, and today was one of the worst of his days.

"Oh hey," Eurwen said as she looked mildly disappointing. No one to save her today, it would seem. At least it wasn't that nasty Vesper. "Nothing but the usual, come in."
She turned her back to him and went directly back to what she was doing. He could shut the door, and take care of himself. He was a proper adult. And he knew better than to touch all the strange things that floated around.
Radz's head perked at the mention of his name. His head tilting to the side previously at the sound of the voice. It seemed a little off today, but it sounded like his Uncle Malc. Why was he lisping? And why was he here at all? He probably wanted something.... they had briefly attempted to break his curse, which ended him him vomiting ale all over their lab.
"If you want some water, there's a beaker filled with it over there. Don't drink the one that's not labeled."
Myron made an awkward sound as he looked at the sparrow. All he could think about was his brother. Theofilus. He knew that these people were related to him somehow... it was just how could he tell that to the mouse hybrid. 'R-Radz... shouldn't you show him where it is? What if he drinks acid or something?'
Radz hissed in a half whisper, "He's not stupid."

Malch was hardly stupid. Sometimes he didn't get that he was being rude when making a joke in his brother's presence, but that was the extent of his "stupid." He was actually talented and knew what he was doing most of the time.
Right now, however, he was completely out of his damn element.
He glanced at the beakers lined up. They were all unlabeled with the exception of two. He picked one up and gave it a curious expression. It looked like water. But so did the other one. And they were both labeled with the same messy handwriting that must have been Eurwen's considering....
He glanced from Radz to Eurwen. They both were ignoring him. Maybe it was because he didn't really try to be a good Uncle? He should at least pretend to be interested in what they were doing. The sparrow sighed as he took a sip of the water.
That was a regrettable action.
The sparrow found himself choking. With an alarmed sound he dropped the beaker.
That hadn't just been water.
Oh shit.
Malch to Myron Aftereffects: As soon as Malch begins to choke on a sip of water from a beaker, the changes will make it apparent that water was not the only thing in the beaker. He will slowly choke to death as a formless mass of mist and small globes of after encircle his upper body. Myron fleeing to him from Radz will send an electric shock of energy through the Mouse hybrid, flinging him backwards across the room and knocking him unconscious. He'll hit a good number of tubes and vials which will then crash over his head. As a result, he will slowly begin to transform. His midsection will elongate to a disturbing degree and his tail will grow more wings. The crown of thorns on his head will thicken and become more terrifyingly tangled and monstrous. As to Malch's body; his legs will slowly begin to split into two and his body will fracture and spread to begin to resemble a tauric appearance as his insides try to handle the fact that two spirits are trying to occupy one body. Then Malch will be forced out. Myron will be left with the now 4 legged, dual handed, body. The water globes and strange mist-like formations will remain ghosting his form for all his life. These mists will cause intense confusion in Cards ranked 8 and lower to the point where they will barely be able to remember their names until ten minutes after he has left their presence.

Radz wouldn't have noticed anything. But when he heard the choking sound he turned around to listen properly. The lab wasn't that large, and his Uncle wasn't that far away. He opened his mouth to say something when things just seemed to come crashing down.
Literally and figuratively.
Myron had been worried. That was nothing new. But when he saw the sparrow pick up the wrong beaker of water he had panicked. From that lisp earlier it sounded like Malch had been dehydrated. (At least that's what he had gathered from all of his time spent hanging around with Radz and his mother who was a doctor.) He must have had impaired judgment to pick that particular beaker. And the sound he made as soon as he sipped was enough to make Myron take action.
And when he did Radz felt an electrical surge go through his entire body, and he was flung backwards. Things came crashing down on his head as he lost awareness of everything.
Eurwen watched in sheer terror when she snapped around. Her brother had flown across the room, and her Uncle was suddenly surrounded by green mist. She opened her mouth to speak, completely unsure of what to do at a time like this. She rushed towards her brother dancing back at the spill of chemicals.

He was choking! The panic was setting in as he grabbed in vain at his throat. What was going on? What was with all this mist?
Of course things were getting worse, and he couldn't really make sense of it as he was choking.
Myron had tried to rush to help, but he had only made things worse. And it would seem that he had been sucked into the body of the person he was trying desperately to help.
It was alarming what happened next. The sensation was something indescribable for either Myron or Malch as the legs suddenly started to split on their own accord. Malch was heavily focused on trying to breath as the mist was starting to make things impossible for him to breath.
Things were shifting, twisting, and going in the wrong directions. A body shouldn't have be capable of such things, and yet it was happening. Malch tried to struggle to breath one last time, when it seemed that things had almost settled despite the mind numbing feeling of the body twisting and something else.
And suddenly he collapsed, a pitiful wheeze escaping him.

Meanwhile Radz was having a bit of trouble of his own. Of course he wasn't aware of what was going. The chemicals were doing a terribly interesting things to the poor mouse as his sister stood outside of the toxic puddle.
He was growing... except not properly. His middle section was extending at an alarming rate. His crown of thorns seemed to be growing, and more wings were sprouting.
Eurwen bounced on her heals as she ran around to grab a neutralizing solution of some sort. Then again he wouldn't have something like that laying around. The chemicals were never meant to be mixed like they were. And what if she threw the wrong chemical onto her brother and made things worse.
Her attention snapped to the crashing sound behind her.
Monster.
That was not her uncle.
She needed help. She needed help now. Ez. Zane. Someone had to be close.
Eurwen bolted out of the door as fast as her legs could carry her, it slammed shut behind her.

Myron was more than a little confused as his eyes fluttered.
His...what?
That didn't make any sense. He shifted his weight and wiggled his fingers. Fingers. This didn't make any sense.
His heart skipped a beat, eyes widening. Oh no. Myron glanced down at his hands and his chest. This was.... Malch's body wasn't it?
His feathers fluffed up as he tried to stand. When he glanced downwards though he realized that... he suddenly had four... legs? What was he supposed to do with four legs? He didn't even have that many when he was a normal sparrow. Myron whimpered, the panic was welling up as he tried to figure out what had actually happened. And what were these funny things around him?
Had he accidentally killed Malch? Where was Eurwen and what... about... Radzimierz? He struggled to brush the tears away. He looked around the room. No one seemed to be around... had they all left? He sniffed a bit as he struggled to stand and look around for signs of life.
It took him a few minutes to get steady on his feet and move towards the scene of the other half of the disaster. The mouse was quite unconscious.

Radz was still very unconscious when the bird came over to investigate. He didn't feel the tentative poking with the mildly sharp bird claws. The whimpering and the shaking wasn't felt either.
It wasn't until the bird let him go and his chin hit the ground with a rather unconventional thud. He woke up to Myron's profuse apology. Of course the world was still as dark as ever, but his head was kind of heavy and his body didn't feel.... right.
That voice sounded weird. "Uncle what....?"
"I think I killed your Uncle! I'm not him. I'm Myron."
The mouse hybrid blinked. How hard had he hit his head? He slowly sat up, his wings brushing him off. Wait. What the hell was... going on with his body. His torso wasn't... right. His ears twitched as he looked in the general direction of the voice. "So... what happened?"
