Slowly the bodily pleasure ebbed away from Acheron, and soon he found himself restless and his back bothering him slightly. He was never going to get any sleep...even for 5 minutes, with the way his back bothered him. He sighed, maybe it was time to get over himself and go downstairs. Besides, An really sounded like he wanted the antelope to meet Viviane. With a small grunt he pushed himself up onto wobbly legs, and finally got off of the bed. He moved out of the door and down the stairs.
Viviane allowed himself to be kissed softly, enjoying the affection. It was very rarely he got anything like that from anyone. Viviane was the kind of whore that people picked up because they enjoyed beating their partners senseless. Indeed, Viviane was also on his own break, because the last guy who picked him up had decided to be particularly rough. He had come back...looking more Torquehelm with his black and purple bruises, then he had looked Lakelander. He took a long break to heal properly. He was about due to go back to work, but now he felt even more like he didn't want to go back. "I don't know where to start..." he said, tears starting to form and fall from his scaley cheeks. "I..."
He was about to say something when Acheron finally made an apperance in the kitchen. He looked away for a moment, wiping away tears with the fur of his tail before turning to meet Acheron's gaze again. During that time Acheron had just enough time to give An a questioning look. Why was the snake so upset? He now felt extremely guilty for wanting to keep An away from his dear friend. He walked over to An, hooves clopping along and stood next to him. Viviane bowed his head slightly, "Hello...you must be Acheron....Anatolius has mentioned you before."
It made Acheron's heart flutter slightly to hear the snake say that, he nodded slightly. "I've heard of you to. You are Viviane? It is nice to finally meet you." He looked up at An, finally seeing that there was drink mixing going on. "What is it that you are making?" he said, trying to break the ice a bit. The meeting was a little bit awkward...

The canine frowned with concern, watching his friend tear up once again. He'd heard about his rough customer through the usual grapevine, but this couldn't be what was upsetting him was it? Surely he would've come sooner if it was...
"Take your time, Viv." He smiled reassuringly, about to go on when Acheron arrived in the kitchen. Anatolius's pleasure at seeing the Torque was undeniable, but his concern was still tangible beneath it all. Would Viv even be able to open up with Acheron around? Sure, Viv was one of the few people who even had an inkling of how much Acheron meant to him but that didn't make the two males any closer.
Time would do that...eventually.
Acheron's question caused Tolius to rethink what liquor was currently available to him... Which wasn't much. Damn, had he gone binge drinking or something? He usually kept his stock up much better than this... "At the moment? Sex on the Beach, but I'm running out of Vodka." The canine lifted the bottle, swished it around for both males' benefit. "Someone will have to run to the store later and rectify this, but until then...we should have enough for a light buzz if nothing more."

Viviane's curiousity was perked at the question that Acheron asked. As said before, Viviane was not a drinker, though he had been to plenty of bars, and had heard drinks ordered and such before. He always thought it kind of strange that cocktails had names like that, though he supposed it was better then saying 'id like you to mix this, this, and this' which could potentially get confusing with multiple customers. Though what if a bar tender didn't know what you were asking for? What would happen then? Little things that perked his curiosity.
"You would make a Sex on the Beach." Acheron said with a small smirk. It was not very often that Acheron joked, but the antelope felt that the wolf was kind of asking for such a statement to be said. He looked over to the serpent, still red eyed and puffy, and the vodka handle nearly empty. The snake would be needing more. Hell, he would be needing more to get through the disappointment..."I can go pick up another handle if you'd like...that way we don't have to stumble around trying to get to the nearest liquor store." the antelope offered. He gave An a look, one that read 'you might need some time alone'. And really it was true. The snake hadn't said a word past the initial introduction.
Viviane found it strange that he was so quiet. It was almost as if, he had no social skills. Sure he had to be alluring to clients...talk them into purchasing him. But when it came to friends (or lack there of), he always seemed to have problems starting a conversation. Sex seemed to be the only language that the snake knew of immidiately, otherwise he was lost.

Tolius blushed a little but grinned vibrantly at his friend nevertheless. He liked it when Acheron joked with him and never grew tired of that playful teasing. "I really was asking for that, wasn't I?" The canine laughed cheerfully, but his eyes darkened every time they found Viviane again. He was so quiet... Tolius had hoped his shyness wouldn't overcome him but it obviously had.
And then, just before Anatolius could begin to properly worry, Acheron offered to step out and get them more Vodka.
The canine's demeanor shifted, his worry relenting a little and his natural cheer returning. "Would you? That'd be wonderful of you, Acher. Thank you." He slipped in, wrapping his arms around the antelope's neck and kissing his cheek. With his muzzle next to Acheron's ear, he spoke more softly so that only the antelope could hear him. "This means so much to me, love. Thank you." Not just Acheron's willingness to get him alcohol, but to give Tolius and his friend some time alone.
It took a moment before he let go, but he finally managed to disentangle himself and quickly finish up Viv's drink. He needed it and, if Acheron was stepping out, the buzz of alcohol would definitely help to ease the anxiety of talking.

Acheron loved the way that An's eyes sparkled when he laughed. It was not hard to see how much they changed when they looked back to Viviane. He was very worried about the snake...and the faster he got out of the house...was probably for the best. Maybe he'd wander around the Bazaar a little before returning back. Just to make sure he'd given them enough time to figure things out. He let a small smile play upon his lips as the wolf kissed him and thanked him. He licked the wolf back before they seperated, and Acheron started walking to the door, grabbing a small purse-like object that was nearby before looking back for a moment. How the day had changed from what he imagined it would be. He opened the door and left...a little sigh leaving his lips once the door had closed behind him.
Viviane couldn't speak, couldn't even tear up before Acheron was safely outside of the door, and when he was...it was like a tidal wave of tears streaming forth. "I'm sorry Anatolius...I don't know whats wrong with me. He seems like a lovely person." he sobbed covering his eyes with his tail fur, and his skin glowing crimson with embarrassment. "I really don't know what's wrong with me...I feel like I've been acting so strangely...I shouldn't be so heavily effected by what happened....but Anatolius...I'm beside myself!" he sobbed openly for a moment or two, unable to control the volume of his sadness or the tears that streamed down his face.

Anatolius didn't want to let Acheron leave and yet, reluctantly, he knew he had to. He sighed a little as his lover left, but he didn't have time to worry further. Viviane was sobbing like the world had just ended and Anatolius couldn't ignore his friend any further.
"No, no! O, Viviane!" He was abruptly on his knees, wrapping the snake against him as best as he could. "Acheron's a blessing, but...it's alright, dear. I understand. He understands. There's plenty of time to get to know him later." He kissed the serpent's forehead, whimpering a little with concern. "What's wrong, Viviane? What happened that's struck you so heavily?"
His hands played repeatedly over Viviane's long, sleek form; stroking his fur, sliding down his scales. Viviane had been his friend for...longer than Tolius could remember. He was his best friend and the very sight of him in this state was heart wrenching.

Viviane was in a world of darkness, his eyes closed as he cried, hiding himself from Anatolius in his mind. He hated to show himself crying to the wolf, but he had done it plenty of times before. But this time was different. He couldn't say how, not yet anyway, but he knew it was different. He felt Anatolius' arms encircle him and he gladly fell into them, wrapping his tail around the wolf eagerly and burying his head into his crimson chest. He felt so strange, and so much...lesser now. He had lost something, but it didn't feel as if he should feel this horrible about it.
"The Queen of Hearts is dead!" he said, his voice completely forlorn, and his skin growning crimson for the third time. "It's not like...I was royalty...or part of his court. I didn't even really know him that well. But....but I can't help....feeling so...." he couldn't finish his sentence, choking horribly on a sob in the back of his throat he was trying desperately not to let out. He simply shook with the intencity of his sobs, eyes streaming, but silent. He wasn't sure how to explain himself...he was so sure his friend thought he was crazy now that he had told him what this sadness was all about.
Acheron wandered down the street, looking this way and that. He had gotten over to the usual liquor store, but for one reason or another, it was closed. Maybe An wasn't the only one with a day off today. He sighed. Oh well, all the more time for Anatolius and Viviane to figure out whatever it is that needed to be figure out.

Anatolius was absolutely shocked by the state of his friend, by the intensity of his tears,...all of it. Surely he'd seen the boy cry before but never like this. Quietly he kissed the serpent's head, doting concern and compassion upon his friend as he waited for him to find the words.
Not that the words, when they finally escaped out of Viviane's tears, made things any better. The Queen of Hearts? Yes, he'd briefly heard of the famous Queen's passing -- especially as he'd spent more time with Queen Aderlass -- but he'd never put too much thought into the man's passing. He was gone, it was a tragedy, but it never truly hit him on the home front. Viviane had obviously not been so lucky.
"Let it out, love. Tell me everything." He kissed the serpent's head again, sighing softly with his concern. "I didn't know The Queen very well either, but he must've had some impact on you. Passings of any kind are hard, especially...with the way he went. I'm sorry, Viv...I really am."

Acheron was beginning to realize, as he walked down the streets of the Bazaar, that some of the stores were just...closed. There were just as many that were open...but it was still alarming nonetheless. Why would so many stores be randomly closed? He would have to resort to asking people where they knew a liquor store exsisted. Again a sigh escaped his lips. Acheron found it hard to be social with anyone...always. He thought back to the first time he met An...and how he was so sure the wolf was going to kill him once he had him alone. The wolf had....but much differently then he had anticipated.
At first, there was nothing that Viviane could say. His sobbing just wouldn't allow for him to speak and allow the wolf to listen to him. He stopped battling himself and just let it all go, scarcely noting that Anatolius was kissing him tenderly. All he could really do was hold on to the sunset wolf for dear life as his emotions took him on a rollercoaster ride. Minutes passed, and there was still nothing, just Viviane soaking Anatolius' chest where he continued to snuggle and bury his head. Finally, however, he found himself to tired to cry anymore...or at the very least, his body needed a break. His eyes burned and when he looked up at the wolf, his eyes were bloodshot like he had been smoking the best Midori Weed in town. If only he had, maybe he wouldn't be in such a state.
"I don't think I ever told you...But I talked with him on several occations. I had heard of the nice ponds at the Palace of Hearts..." he choked back a small sob, before he continued, "You know...since I can't go back to the Lakes....So I went to see them for myself. He appeared...and I thought I was done for...you know...for trespassing. But we just ended up talking. Talking about koi...and ranking up. Anatolius! It was the first time anyone had spoken to me like I was a being worth talking to outside of work! And the Queen no less! He had even given me a job of looking after his koi! He inspired me to try to rank up..." he started crying again, this time his feminine voice was hoarse from crying so hard.
"I probably wasn't anything to him, Anatolius. Surely there are other people more worthy of morning him right now. A whore crying for a Queen...I'm almost angry at myself..." more tears, "But...he was one of the only friends I've ever had. And I didn't even succeed in ranking up yet. I wanted to show him....I wanted to show him I could be worth something...." Viviane wasn't going to talk anymore...he was back to hysterics, delirius from sadness.

Oi, if An couldn't understand how that felt than he didn't know who would.
It was Queen Aderlass, after all, that had encourage Anatolius to raise himself to the rank and power he currently held. To even pursue a life in the Courts. If no one else, Anatolius understood how Viv felt when one of the higher ups actually looked passed the fact that he was a simple whore and saw something more underneath. The recognition alone was exhilarating.
"Don't be angry at yourself, love. You've got every right to mourn him. Even if you two weren't close, he was still someone important in your life and he made an impact... If that isn't worthy, darling, nothing is." Once more he kissed the serpent's head, cuddling him close. "He's not the only one that recognizes your worth, Viv. I'm no Queen, but I'd help you work your way up."
Slowly he disentangled himself from his friend, urging the snake to follow him up. "Come on, Viv. Let's go in the sitting room and get more comfortable. You haven't gotten a chance to indulge in your drink, either."
There was no way to reverse the trauma of what had happened, but Tolius would do everything in his power to bring a smile back to his best friend's face.
