"My friend would like some raspberry scones too," Lyr said, and the raccoon gave a quick nod before getting on her way. As much as she wanted to sit there forever and enjoy the tea--and there it was! Prompt as always--she was beginning to worry a bit about being back before her aunt noticed she was gone, and when she began to worry about things, she was rarely able to stop. Usually she worried about things she knew were stupid (had she left the water running? Had she? Of course she hadn't, but she still fretted), but she knew this one had more legitimacy.
Tea and scones with the pretty lady, she thought. Yes. Then she should go. It felt good already, at least, to have her three-o'clock routine adhered to. She didn't need to press her luck.
"Eat up!" she said, when the treats arrived. "They're my favorite."
