Grinning broadly, Lucio spread his wings wide and began a slow flap with them, to help him keep balanced as he looked up at the girl.
"Ah, yes, I'm quite well" he reassured her, smiling a bit at her concern for his safety. "I guess I really do owe you an apology. I just -might- have a bit better balance than I lead you to believe" he said with comically shifting eyes. "I did grow up in the mountains after all. I just did not want to intrude on your personal space at first. And then, just now..well..I suppose I could have gotten here with a bit less effort. But it's a bit hard not to show off at least a little bit in front of a pretty girl. I did not mean to worry you too very much."
Looking away, he let his eyes roam over the landscape for a bit before returning his gaze to her "It's no wonder you spend some time in the trees. It's a beautiful scene. And now I'm up, what shall we do now, hmm?"

Haret gave a low, soft laugh at his explanation and she finally gave a small shake of her head, almost as though in answer to his words. Really, she wasn't even sure what to think of the man anymore. He was exceedingly playful, however, and she couldn't help but feel amused by him and his antics.
She accepted his semi-apology with a small shrug, downplaying her own concern. In the long run it was apparent it hadn't mattered; Lucio seemed well in control of himself and the situation.
Her own gaze slipped smoothly away to linger gladly on the beautiful region so easily within their view from their perch up in the tree. A smile pulled lightly at the edges of her lips and she didn't answer his question for a long moment.
She would be sad when she left; and she knew already that she would. She needed a way to repay her debt; some way to show her extreme gratitude. Her ears twitched slightly before she looked back to the man. "Wot to do?" she echoed softly, then turned to look out again, one dark hand briefly gesturing to encompass the scenery around them. "Breathe. Live. Look."

"Breath. Live. Look" he repeated slowly after a couple of moments. Nodding he looked out and shared her view of the scenery before them. "One of the best ways to live your life, I think. Taking the time to look around, and live. Instead of keeping yourself so busy you can not breath."
Yes, he was glad he had ran into this woman. For all his talk about agreeing about not keeping yourself busy, there were probably countless things he had simply not taken the time to witness in his roaming. He was sure there were many things the woman could teach him about being still and simply watching things. It saddened to think how much the poor girl probably missed out on when she was younger because of her bindings. But he knew, too, that there were probably a great many other things she was able to learn about the world, just from being still and watching it.
Glancing back to the woman, he watched her, as she watched the landscape. He had a feeling that something was weighing on her mind, but he was not sure how to ask, or even sure if it would be rude to do so. But then again, he figured everyone could use someone to talk to sometime. So he just hope he would not offend her.
Tilting his head a bit, he looked fully at her. "Your eyes linger on your homeland, but I think your mind is somewhere else. Is there something the matter?"

Haret's eyes swung to the man in surprise, and her brows lowered briefly; a hint that his guess of inner trouble might be correct. Her thoughtful purple eyes shifted back away and she stared out at the beauty of Torquehelm yet again.
"I owe a great debt," she finally admitted to him softly. There was no shame in her voice, but distraction was there. It was little more than proof of just how much this meant to her. "There is no way I can repay that debt here. I will have to leave."
Determination to go drove her words and expression, but it didn't change the fact that she was afraid to go, nervous about the path that now lay before her black feet. She didn't ask for comfort or aid; she didn't need either since she would go despite her nerves and unease.

Lucio listened quietly, and nodded when she was through, adding quietly "A very noble thing"
The girl WAS strong. He could see that she was nervous and scared. But more than that, he saw the determination in her eyes, and knew that she would let nothing stand between her, and what she felt she needed to do. He admired her for it.
"It is rare to meet somebody that would leave what they know and love to repay a service or kindness. I believe you will be successful in this quest."
He quieted for a moment and just gazed at her. Her determined face looking out at her homeland, perhaps in a farewell until she completed what she felt she had to do. He only wished there was something he could say or do to set her at ease, but knew that the words would be futile.
Speaking up again, he continued, "My name is Lucio. I hope you remember it, and if you are ever in a pinch, send word for me and I will do all that I can to come to your side in aid."

"Lucio," she repeated softly, as though memorizing the name. She gave him another shy smile. "I am Haret." She hesitated for a moment, deciding her next words before deciding to push through with her teasing. "Lucio, the traveler, here now, but when trouble comes where might he be?"
A faint flush might show through her black fur as she glanced over to be certain he didn't take offense. "I shall leave soon for the Capital City," she admitted, suddenly serious again. "If your feet should ever take you there, I hope we have the chance to cross paths once again."
The black canine meant the words truly, though she wondered if perhaps the Capital City was much too large for two virtually strangers to re-find each other in after even a short break.

"Haret. A beautiful name to match a beautiful lady. And it is true I wander. I could not even answer where I might be found, but I hope it would be close if trouble ever visits you."
The girl was truly nervous about leaving. But striking out on your own and leaving your comfort zone could do that to a person.
"The capitol City you say? I frequent there more than any other place in particular. I generally find myself there on my way to somewhere else. It seems to be my cross roads, so to speak. When you are there, question for me. As big of a melting pot as it seems to be, I have yet to run into another weasel from the range with with wings. So at least something sticks out among all the faces of the other cards. Besides, the world is really not such a big place that friends can't find each other again after some time."

Haret took in this information thoughtfully and she paused to contemplate it. He was correct that he was quite unique in his features, something he had over her; she was just another bound Torquehelmian. It simply did not occur to her that her binding might make her a bit unique, perhaps even notable enough that someone could track her down by it.
"It's good that you are often through the Capital," she said softly, feeling that he was waiting for an answer. "I truly hope that we shall have a chance to meet again someday beyond this one."
As the words left her mouth she realized it sounded as though she were telling him it was time to go. She bit her lip, hoping the wasn't offended and not entirely certain how to fix her faux pas. A hesitant glance his direction might prove that she didn't mean to imply that.

"I am sure we will. And who knows. Maybe next time we cross paths, I'll even have hands and feet of my own." He smiled towards the lovely canine. He wanted to pick her spirits back up. The conversation had brought up her travels. And though it was something she needed to do, it still worried her.
"But enough seriousness for the moment hmm? We still have such a lovely day, or evening now I suppose, to look out over your beautiful country." Indeed. They day was slipping away and the shadows were extending their hold on the world around them.
Walking along the branch he was perched on towards the trunk of the tree, he stood on his hind legs to reach a fore paw up and tap lightly at her foot "So, the baddies of the forest are not going to come out and eat me when the sun falls are they?"
