She seemed to smile a lot around this man; even now his words encouraged her lips to turn upwards lightly. He would probably be very handsome as a bipedal; he was good-looking now in his animal form. One dark hand moved to play absently with some of the hair entwining her left arm.
She so loved this region, and all of her people. If she were to ever have children and they came from her realm, then she would certainly bind them in the custom of her region. She thought it was incredibly important to help lift the curse from Torquehelm.
She tilted her head at Lucio's question, smiling just a little bit wider. "The baddies?" she asked softly. "Do you mean the other Torquehelmians?" She glanced over towards the man, her amusement showing in her dark eyes as well as in her voice.

[Oh man. I'm so sorry. I thought with a few evenings off, I'd have a bit more time, but it seems even when I'm not working, I'v got things that need taking care of -dies-]
"Well, I'm not quite sure, I suppose. There may be a resident or two around that would want to keep the outsiders out maybe. But this is my first visit to your region. I do not know what exactly would await for me when the sun falls, hmm? Shadow gliders that make full use of the cover of darkness? Something hungry that waits until someone is not under the protection of a resident? Perhaps a forest guardian that does not permit outsiders? Those of us that are not from here hear very limited tales and stories from here. And I would guess most of those stories are quite flawed. From what I'v heard, I would have never guessed I would happen upon anyone happy here, let alone anyone that truly loved the place as you do."
Lucio looked up and winked at the woman to let her know his words were in jest. He was not really afraid of the dark. And if nothing else, he was still close enough to the border that he hoped he could outrun anything he accidentally upset ...he hoped.
Grinning even wider he continued "Besides, I may just still be looking for a reason to borrow your couch for the night" he finished with a soft chuckle.
Boy, he hoped that last quick joke did not land him in the boiling pot with the lovely lady.

Haret couldn't stop the small laugh that bubbled forth in a soft melody. "No, I suppose non-residents would not know what to expect from here." She glanced over the woods once more, her purple eyes skimming them with what very well might be her last look of home for a very long time. Her heart clenched, but it was worth it. She had to do as she must.
She contemplated his jokes, but knew that she could at least offer him some sort of hospitality. With this thought in mind, the woman carefully slipped down from the tree. Almost despite herself, the movement remained graceful, and she landed with a soft thump on her large hindfeet. She glanced up carefully; her head wouldn't allow her to tilt it all the way up, so she had to look up at him through her lashes.
"Please, come." With those softly offered words, she began to walk slowly away.

"Well, not only this place I suppose, but the whole world in general. One never knows whats going to be behind the next curve of the road. It can be anything from a Highwayman looking for coins, to a beautiful lady in a tree" Lucio replied with a grin, "or anything in between."
He watched the girl climb down from the tree. He shook his head slightly to himself. She moved with such lithe grace.
But all good things had to come to and end it seemed, and with her decent, it seemed to Lucio that it was time to be on his own way. He was just about to once again voice his pleasure about meeting her when she glanced back up his way, offering for him to follow.
He grinned down at her and nodded is his head, then hopped off the branch he'd been standing on, spreading his wings and gliding softy to the ground.
"It would be my pleasure", he replied as he landed. He quickly tucked his wings in to his sides and trotted a few paces to catch up with the departing canine. "So, I guess I'll get to see a bit more of your land than just the outskirts", he said as the trotted along behind the girl.
