Ichigo was more than a little surprised by the way the King spoke. Most people did have a fondness for the realm they were raised in unless they had a rough childhood or something like that.
He would never visit Tulgey unless he was kidnapped and dragged there. This was just additional confirmation for him. The mouse sipped his tea as he listened to the woman's statements on the realm. Every realm was a bit xenophobic, but that was an extreme. And animals that could do you in if the residents didn't? So most of the rumors about the Wood were true? That was a good thing to know.
He set down his tea carefully. "I swear to you I will never set foot in the realm. And I'm sorry to hear that you had to put up with that while you were growing up." He grinned slightly, "At least you found your calling away from the Wood."

((Heya. With Thyme in the ticket contest at the moment, her muse is in a state of mild flux until it has some idea of its future. Would you mind if we summarized an ending with a post or two for this thread? :3))

What a pleasantly normal conversation. Thyme didn't take a lot of time for herself socially, but she felt a good deal less awkward speaking to Ichigo. They mostly danced around the awkward topics, which helped, and she could try not to think the horrible thoughts that had assaulted her mind for the past few weeks.
Talk continued calmly. It was a good rest from the sparring, and it made sure she ate a lunch that she might otherwise have gone without absentmindedly. She also pseuco-committed to joining him sometime for a trip out to the Mid-Range, since... well. She did want to visit the realm, and he did know it very well, and she would hopefully be able to take another vacation within the next few months that would let her actually relax instead of freaking her out ten times worse than the palace could ever hope to manage.
She bid him farewell after a good long while and went to feed her Waffles and Mr. Jingles. What an odd day. Pleasant. A break from tedious work and painful memory.
