Seki always forgot how wonderfully relaxing showers were until he actually got in. The warm water was wonderful and, after a good deal of scrubbing, the sensation of being free of grime was wonderful too. It took longer than he expected to get some of the tangles out, especially the ones in his mane, but by the time he was done he was happy with the results.
His fur was soft and downy, though very thin -- maybe thinner than he remembered -- and his mane didn't have as much luster as it did when he was younger, but it was smooth and fluffed up from a quick attempt to towel the moisture away. At very least, he was presentable even if his lifestyle left many permanent marks on his person: bruises and scrapes in the thinner areas of his fur were more noticeable now that he was clean but he hoped the darkness of his fur would keep Andrei from noticing too much.
Once he was dry and clean, Seki stepped back out into the living area and flashed a small smile at Andrei. "Hope I wasn't too long." It was a great deal chillier out in the main room now that he was slightly damp, but it wouldn't be a problem once the remaining dampness dried up fully.

Andrei returned the smile given to him. Seeing Seki clean made Andrei feel better. Seki even seemed to be holding himself differently. This came as little surprise to Andrei. Everyone feels better when they're clean!
"Not at all," he smiled. He wanted to compliment him, say how much better he looked... but would he take offense to that? He's had compliments thrown back in his face in the past. "You look good today"s turned into "What, is that something different than everyday?"s. Still, he liked the way the clean, damp fur clung to his skin. It made him all the more approachable. Touchable. "There's an extra blanket on the couch if you're a little cold. I'll be right out."
The shower Andrei took was quite cold. Colder than his usual showers. He needed to get his mind out of the gutter. It wasn't appropriate. He dragged his mind away from it with the help of the icy water. After a some time (showers made him lose track of time) he came out of the bathroom.
"Comfortable?" he asked Seki as he rummaged through a cabinet, "Do you like red wine? I'm afraid it's all I have right now. If you want something else, we'd have to call up some service for it."

Andrei looked pleased when Seki emerged from the shower and, while he didn't say anything outwardly, the look was enough to make the feline a little less self-conscious. He knew he'd been getting a bit ratty once Andrei mentioned showers, it was nice to know the cleaner appearance pleased the other male.
"Thank you," he purred softly as he spoke and moved to sit closer to the open window. The cool air wasn't entirely unpleasant and the breeze would make sure he finished drying before Andrei came out -- dampness around hid bindings had always been such a problem. He spent the majority of his time waiting for Andrei making certain that everything was clean, dry, and rust free.
When Andrei returned, Seki flashed another little smile as he watched the other male move about. "Very." He shifted, leaning forward as Andrei began going through the present alcohol. "Red wine sounds great, thank you." It wasn't as hard as most liquors and was considerably sweeter as well, easier to pallet than white wines or vodka.

The purr stirred something in Andrei. Suits, he loved that sound. It didn't do much to help his mind stay out of the gutter.
He felt much better after the shower. Clean and refreshed in both body and mind. Or so he thought before he stepped out of the bathroom and saw a still slightly damp Feline on his couch, the bindings making him sit at a funny angle that just made him want to stare. Andrei chastised himself, not thinking to blame the fact that it was because he was a teenage boy that he was having these thoughts.
"Excellent!" he said, looking between his two bottles. Hmm... Cabernet Savignon. That sounded divine at the moment. He brought the bottle, bottle opener, and the two glasses over to the couch, trying his hardest to be as graceful as his awkward bat-waddle would allow. Once settled with the glasses and bottle down, he moved to open the bottle and pour himself and Seki half a glass to start. He took a little time to smell the wine before taking a sip. The smell was just heavenly. After removing the glass from his lips and swallowing the wonderful dark red liquid, he turned his attention back to Seki.
"Not too cold? I'm surprised. Most people are when I'm comfortable."

The feline leaned his head down on his legs as he watched Andrei, trying hard not to look too much like he was staring at the other male. He was very handsome, very poised, and exceptionally kind... Seki was really enjoying his time with him. When Andrei returned and filled Seki's glass, he was greeted with a small smile before he accepted his glass. The feline sipped slowly at the rich red liquid, trying hard not too drink too much at once, though he couldn't help but let a little purr escape him as he worked through the drink.
"Mmm... very good," he murmured between purrs and sips.
The prospect of cold being revisited cause Seki to pause and lower his drink briefly. "It is a little cool, but... I'm used to being out at night," no matter how hard he tried those comments always sounded awful to his ears. Hopefully Andrei would not realize just what a hopeless bum he really was...

Andrei flexed his toes and went back to his drink, emptying his glass a little quicker than originally intended. That purring... Suits, did Seki have to purr so much?! That sound just made him want to curl up next to him and put his head on Seki's chest and just lay there as the purring rumbled through them both. He poured himself another glass -- a full one this time -- the thoughts distracting him from what he was doing.
"I'm glad you like it. It's one of my favorites..." he trailed off. That blasted purring! The took a few sips from his drink. He smiled at first at his next statement, but then was a little perplexed by the sudden touch of nervousness again. He sipped at his drink as he spoken.
"Ah, so you're a night person. I've known... a good deal of those. My biological mother for one, my adopted... mother," his face twitched a little, "and a few others around the court. I like the night better myself." He didn't quite notice he'd made a sizable dent in his drink. His gaze kept roving up and down the Feline's body. His inhibitions about displaying inappropriate behavior was lowering in proportion with the contents of his glass.

Seki couldn't help but watch the way Andrei moved. His sips were a little eager, draining the cup faster than Seki would have expected for someone of his size. Not that Seki said anything, everyone was welcome to drink the way they'd like.
"You've got wonderful taste, then." The feline smiled a little. A lot of other people had taken him for drinks, either at their homes or at bars, and most of them were too trashy to buy anything of this quality.
Ahh, yes... A night person, that was a good way to describe him without bringing up all the flaws that kept flooding into Seki's mind, all the reasons why they shouldn't be in the same room and why he shouldn't be spoiling the boy with his presence. Seki took a turn to down a bit more of his drink than he intended, finishing his first. "It's nice at night, a whole different world than during the day." The feline smiled, another little purr running through his chest. "May I have a refill?"
The feline shifted, easing closer to Andrei as his posture became more relaxed. Alcohol had always been good for that, relaxing, though now Andrei could probably feel the occasional vibration of Seki purring.

A thought bubbled in the back of his mind. He found himself annoyed that if Seki savored the wine as much as he said, then why did he drink it so fast? This thought was quickly vanished with the last of his first drink. He finished his own drink pretty fast himself, unless his nervousness was throwing off his sense of time....
He nodded and smiled. "Thank you, Seki." Ahh, Night life. There was just something about it that spoke to Andrei far more than the world during the day. Day was for work. Night was for fun.
"I'd have to agree with that. There's just something about this place at night that's so much... I don't even know how to describe it. Livelier, I guess the word is." Oh, Seki wanted more? "Of course," he smiled and poured his guest a glass before himself. Ironically, it was his comfort that was putting him on edge. He began doubting his own intentions. His nervousness made him down his drink a little faster than he would normally. When his own glass was just under half full, he began actually relaxing, oversized ears erect, just letting the sound of purring calm him. Really, there was nothing wrong with enjoying the sound. He invited his guest over so they can both enjoy themselves, so why should he do anything other than relax? All of his normal suspicions and rules were put aside. If he was just a clever thief, his bat ears still worked when he was sleeping. He didn't need to be so stuffy around this city person, court pretensions might even put him off from trusting him. Whatever happens will happens, or so the deep red liquid told him.

Seki couldn't help but enjoy listening to Andrei talk. His world was so much grander than his own, so much brighter. Seki envied it a little, but couldn't complain when he enjoyed listening so much. The night was an escape for him, a time when the world didn't care so much and he could just... fade away.
"Lively is a good word, I think. Everyone's so busy at night, but not in the same way as the business rush during the day. A lot more relaxed, a bit more chaotic." He watched as the crimson liquid pooled up in his cup once more, filling it with that blissful liquid comfort. The feline sipped once more, another little purr rumbling through him as his eyes melted closed. "It's easy to just lose yourself in it and disappear for a short while."
Liquor made it easier to talk than he'd expected. He'd never tried before. Usually he skipped over the light buzz and jumped straight to smashed, it helped him forget all the horrible things he did every night. But this, he enjoyed this far more.

Andrei smiled and nodded again. Seki pretty much hit the nail on the head. That was exactly how he felt.
"Everyone has a purpose in the day, so they're very focused, but at night, they live to just be..." the next statement bothered him a little. He didn't quite know what it was. He pondered over it as he took a few more sips. As he relaxed, he found himself drinking slower.
Disappear. That was what he didn't like. And lose. Lose yourself... lose himself. Nah.. I'm just over thinking, he thought, taking another swallow.
"Do you have any favorite clubs or bars or anything here in the Capitol? I have yet to explore everything. I know a few places in the Highlands as far as night life goes, but I find myself fond of the greater degree of diversity here." Andrei's gaze began to drop from Seki's face to his chest and neck, where that pretty sound was coming from. Andrei considered with far less disdain cuddling up with the Feline and feeling the purr rather than just sit back and let himself be teased with it.
