I've begun a "history of the courts" page for nobles and who was titled in the past and such, but GREENIE NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT WIKI CODE and so it looks kinda funky. Aka: DON'T LOOK YET.

I used to admin on a wiki for my department for work, so if anyone needs wikitext help I'm willing.

Mad, mad love for everyone helping with this project. Setup is going to be aggravating, but I think that this can become a very useful resource for the board at large once we manage to get it underway.
Greenie, I'm not quite sure why the Court information you're typing up is on the 'Talk' page instead of its own page. o___o I'm not especially familiar with wikitext myself. Harps, d'you have any idea why that might have come about and/or how to set it on its own page instead of the Talk?

I'm not sure why, except that maybe whoever started the page didn't realize that they were on the talk tab when they clicked edit. As to making a new page, that comes down to the essential 'wiki-ness' of it all. This is what makes starting a new wiki so painful and adding to a well-filled one so intuitive: To make a new page, you have to link to the new page. This helps make all the connections that eventually cause the 'wikipedian loop'. So to get a page for the courts, do [[courts]] on an existing page, save, then click on the courts link to get to the page an edit it! On reason why I started with ticket information was that there was an obvious good place to put a link to that page, since it's a current event and a current even't page existed. Now that we have a page with ticket infomation, was can expand from there by turning the topic names on the page, such as 'Court of Hearts', and 'Furgus' Bar and Pub' into links and then filling in those pages. So wiki 'rules' (which are really more like guidelines): 1. Make "red links" (Links to pages that don't exist, and you can do so even if you just feel like something should have a page and don't want to be the one to fill it in. You do this by putting double square brackets [[around the text you want to be the page name]]) 2. Fill in red links if you're interested in the subject (And add red links to the page if it makes sense to do so, or link to existing related pages if it makes sense) I'll go make a few red links in the courts thread so people can try it out.

I seriously got paid to learn about how wiki were born at one point. Lol. That was one of my more favorite side projects at my first job.
The first 10 or so pages are the most confusing to make, especially if the frst 10 things you feel like writing about are unrelated. It gets easier to make connections the more pages you have.

If you want I can move all that to a new page an give you the link.
Also there's a page for "warren", so almost anything you want to say about rabbits (topics like Jack, leveret, etc) can be branched from there. There are also lots of realm red links on the tickets page if anyone wants to write about their favorite place in SoD land.

Yay, Wikis! I've rambled at Lucca on several occasions about how a Wiki would be perfect for storing all sorts of SoD knowledge. It would also be an ideal solution for storing a lot of the information that currently lives on dealer boards, such as character descriptions, meeting records, and the like. But don't mind me. I may or may not become obsessive about editing this. Time will tell. >.>;
